    Lots of this stuff reminds me off spray foam insulation in people lofts.
    All great for a few years until the damp starts rotting your home from the rafters to skirting boards.
    Much of this stuff will not make it into the majority of the homes being built and will be overpriced to buy and install.
    By far the best material or invention ive seen in the last 30 years is Ytong blocks. Strong water proof insulated blocks that glue together. Fast effective and very easy to add cables and piping.

    • @ablemagawitch
      @ablemagawitch 10 месяцев назад +1

      Not if you're below the equator, opposite season and temperatures than the northern hemisphere . Depending where you live for Closer to the poles, you might want keep your heat in during the "summer months".
      Most of this nice advances but won't hold up to time, or will cost more than large builders will pay, so the majority homes won't have it. Then you have replacing it when it life span wears out increased costs because the new company is long gone.
      Example, we have this great CPVC/PVC piping (big swap in the 1980's)that will and has been getting more brittle with age, compared to if they had run same old cast iron drain piping, that stuff will out live their grand kids for its service life.
      Not that people are thinking or care about their new home surviving and not needing rebuilt for several generations later, if they get a cheaper price. Much like if you put on slate rock roof instead of cheap asphalt shingles.
      Gone are the days where people think about their kids and grand kids living the same place and make better life from it.

    instead of plastic ground mats, people often use sheets of plywood or even steel plate.

      @@OneWildTurkey You're right that many people use plywood or steel plates for temporary ground protection. The plastic trackway mats we provide offer a more sustainable alternative made from recycled materials.
      The plastic in our mats is not new plastic, but recycled from waste electrical cables and wire insulation that would otherwise end up in landfill. By upcycling this recycled plastic into our ground protection mats, we're able to give it a second life and reduce waste. This helps make our mats a greener option compared to new plastic from fossil fuels.

    • @OneWildTurkey
      @OneWildTurkey 10 месяцев назад +1

      While plastic trackway mats are not entirely new, they do offer key benefits over steel plates. Plastic mats are made from recycled materials, making them a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option that reduces waste. They are also lightweight and easy to install without heavy machinery, providing a practical solution for temporary ground protection. Our mats are designed and built to last for repeated use over many years, saving money compared to single-use options.
