There are times when it is clearly warranted AND Superman above everybody else is the best to make that call.
Whereas Batman is psychotic and would find it easy and enjoy it.
That's why injustice doesn't make sense, Superman would do it from a place of sympathy and sadness and he would hate it but he would do it.

Those who skim the law to enforce it are to be held to a higher standard. It's one of the reasons WHY BatMan didnt kill. This time, after decades of the Joker being a menace and Bats not putting him down, an act so pivotal came about where BatMan HAD to kill his nemesis, so that Super Man, the big blue boy scout, the God who has a human soul, would not fall victim to what Joker thrives off be it in life or death.. corrupting with chaos. Bats as a result chose to go to prison, as he had a sense of order to his vigilantism.. but this is an alternate time line of an alternate timeline.. and Bats didn't kill Joker.. Supes did.. and it changes him to be everything he and the JL ever fought against. Tyrannical Dictatorship.

Likely, several of the other convicts would side with the Bat over the others who felt wronged. By spending time in lock up, Bruce would likely have a new appreciation for what the victims of a broken system must suffer and choose grass roots projects over just a cape and cowl.
Striking with fear from the shadows made sense as a child. Knowing where the people who cause pain have come from, maybe he can now offer hope in the light. A new Batman, one that builds up his city rather than just fighting the bad guys.

Batman’s character has evolved into something far removed from his original purpose. The clear distinction between hero and villain has been blurred, with modern interpretations increasingly glorifying villains while undermining the hero’s moral code. Earlier Batman stories portrayed him as an incorruptible force for good, someone who stopped villains before they could truly harm anyone. His rogues' gallery existed as foils to Batman's unwavering sense of justice, with his “no-kill” rule making sense in a world where he actually prevented crime.
However, as the villains became darker and more violent, Batman’s refusal to kill them started to feel less heroic and more naive. Modern stories have transformed him into a character who allows mass murderers to live, knowing full well they will escape and kill again. Additionally, Batman has been overpowered to absurd levels just to keep up with characters like Superman, making him less relatable and more of a superhuman with endless gadgets.
The result? Batman has drifted from being a symbol of incorruptible justice to someone upholding a broken system. His villains now seem more like victims of a corrupt society than the pure embodiments of evil they once were. In trying to make Batman “dark,” modern storytelling has lost the core of who he was - a hero who stood for good, despite the tragedies that shaped him.

The no-kill rule is perfectly fine. The problem is that writers want Batman to lack the ability to distinguish. Some people refuse to change from their horrible choices, and others will change given enough time, and patience. Obviously, this is all fiction, so characters like Joker are not going to change. The Joker needs to be dealt with, in some way. Locked up forever, or executed by the justice system. And if the law isn't going to do it, the Justice League needs to lobby the law to do so. This allows the league to continue being the individuals who catch the criminals, not taking the law into their own hands.

its more than that, im just pretty sure bats isn't saying everything, I don't think its that he did it JUST because joker would try again to take everything away from clark or even necessarily that he might try and destroy a city, i think it was that bruce KNEW the consequences of if superman was pushed far enough to kill someone and the consequences it would mean for the world, I don't think he did it just out of emotionalness and protecting people from the joker, I think he weighed his values and morales against the safety of the world from a superman pushed too far, I think it was a calculating decision, and that's the difference between killing the joker for jason, jason didn't have the power to burn the world out of rage and revenge and batman wouldn't kill for something like revenge

@@zebafathima5869You didn’t read the original comic then did you. After Jason’s death the joker left gotham in fear of Batman. Batman went out fully intending to kill the joker but was stopped by Superman and the fact that the joker became the Iranian ambassador. At the end of the comic Batman and joker fight in a falling helicopter and Batman jumps leaving joker to fall to his supposed death, but comics being comics joker survived.

That's because you don't understand his actual point. It's not "I don't kill my enemies because it's wrong" it's "I don't kill my enemies because everyone can be redeemed and who I am to play judge, jury, and executioner. I will stop evil when I can and let the people decide what to do with it." The real crux of the problem for Bruce is if he accepts not everyone can be redeemed then he is accepting he can't be redeemed. That he will forever be hateful for that night. Not killing gives villains hope to change, people hope to do right, and himself hope he can come back from that night.

He has morals. You should never kill until it becomes absolutely necessary. Otherwise you’re no better than the guys you call evil.

@brandonjohnston1650 I mean Joker drugged a man to brutally kill his wife and in doing so nuked a city. Death is the least Joker deserves, this is also an actual terrorist attack.

@@stevengull6703 everyone can be redeemed, yes, but not everyone can be redeemed by Batman or Superman. This level of redemption is not within their scope of abilities, great as they are.
I prefer to take a tolkienistic approach to some characters and some people. By this I mean, For Example, Tolkien held that the orcs are pure evil, yes, but as you say still they’re not beyond redemption. Only, the catch is-the redemption of the orcs is a feat that no elf or man is capable of. Nor could any Maia nor even any of the Valar.
Melkor corrupted the orcs at a time when his power was so great that he was second only to Eru. It would require an equivalent or greater level of power to undo this corruption-no one but Eru has this amount of power.
As such, even though it’s possible for the orcs to be redeemed, achieving that redemption is a task that’s simply impossible for any elf or man. *As a result, they’re faced with pure evil orcs and no way to fix them or redeem them. Their only option is to kill them.*
*The joker is such a creature-he is evil to the point that it’s beyond batman, beyond Superman, beyond maybe *anyone* but the highest tier reality warmers to fix him (even they can’t fix him cause the writers won’t allow them to even try). *The only feasible option to deal with this kind of evil that is, for all intents and purposes, incurable, is to kill it.* Preferably with fire, or something else that’s permanent
