How's it going lads and lasses! I'll sadly have to retire calling ye all Basement losers. Some people took it too seriously and reported my channel because of it. I don't want to risk violating RUclips's guidelines for bullying if I eventually want to make RUclips my career. I hope you all understand. Although I do like the sound of Basement Legends...

Enderal is an existential horror game. Not like "BOO! MONSTERS!" scary. More like it's full of potential thought hazards. Ideas that are terrifying because they are concepts that cannot be fought and will always exist, even IRL.
And that's what I love about this game. It's relatable. Ideas and thoughts I was pondering on myself. The writer is a thinking person and the game is delightful to me.
Thanks for the heads up! I was considering installing it. 😅 But then I watched two minutes of this. 😱
@@keiyangoshin3650 It's definitely something I can recommend - With Forgotten Stories available on Steam, you have a alot of more content to explore compared with the original version - Story is really incredicle, especially the characters, world building and some memorable and [REDACTED] side stories
Isn't it just the Mass Effect story
@@gestaltengine6369 nah, the cycle isn't about self-destructive technology or society, it's about people failing on an individual level by succumbing to passions pretty much. The cycle is hypothetically defeated by all the people being humble and accepting the human condition... or all being dead, but that's just restarting the cycle. Neither ending has a solution, you just get to pick between becoming a hermit to avoid the question entirely, or delaying the end in naive hope that people will get their shit together.

I recommend you playing it to the end it´s a really well done and thought out game. It makes Skyrim more into a rpg and the Story is way better and leaves you thinking and be stunned by it afterwards.
Fr I'd love to see him do a full playthrough!
Too bad the ending is pure depression porn.
Do you know if it’s on Xbox?
@@liam099 Most probably not, but could be. This isn´t a mod anymore but a completely different game using the creation engine and some assets of skyrim so it´s harder to port. GL :)

Damn you're in for a ride. Enderal is amazing. A story that I'll probably never forget. Wish I could forget it and experience it all over again for the first time.
You should definitely do a full playthrough of this if you think it is interesting enough. Also, you should read any dialogue options marked "(Knowledge)" as it is tied to a quest.

@@cheezdoodle96 the whole intro is pretty awful frankly :P
Since I finished this mod already 5 times, I can tell you that it's an amazing experience! Honestly one of the best mods I have ever seen.
The basement transcends physical form. It is a state of being.
Edit: if you decide to do Nehrim one day, there are some differences between the stories in terms of the direction. Just saying in advance, it felt a bit surprising to me to go from playing Enderal to Nehrim. Nehrim is great too, ofc!
it's great to see the differences for example they built straight up LotR locations in nehrim but went more original with enderal
in comparison to the base games (oblivion and skyrim) nehrim certainly stands out more with how creatively they utilized the engine and especially shined with hand crafted dungeons but as mentioned above it was a bit mashup of assets all over the place (for example the guards in the southern town straight up had altair robes)
I absolutely love how professional they've become, I mean even two languages fully voiced? amazing, and I like the father in english better but I start getting lost lol
That impression of Cr1TiKaL was on point. Very moist 🤣🤣🤣
Please make this a series my man, would love to see you play this out
I recently started playing Enderal and honestly it's so much more fun than actual Skyrim in so many ways, really love it.
I'd personally love to see more videos on it, but it might not be that entertaining or popular compared to your other comedic commentary type videos. Besides some cool/funny side quests, a lot of the game is immersion/lore focused and gets a lot more sad and depressing (even a little horror focused, but all in a good way) the further you get, so even if you don't make more videos, definitely play the game on your own time - same to anyone reading this comment, Enderal is great and really had a lot of love put into it by the devs, so try it out!
"Oh look, I'm just Alistair from Dragon Age" thank you for the unexpected Dragon Age laugh lmao
Can't wait to see you play more of this Micky! This definitely has become my favorite video of yours recently, winning over the Beyond Skyrim: Bruma video, your commentary is just absolute aces and it's lovely to see Enderal especially getting the attention it deserves. I'm trying really hard not to spoil anything, i'm very excited, but just so you know, you do get certain bonuses later on from the duo of skill trees that you fill out! I also think you're really going to enjoy the fast travel system when you get to that :)
I was half expecting you to wake up on the carriage with Ralof after the intro
I played this mod a few years ago, its fucking brilliant.
I love the sound track, the beginning where your a child really was one of the best experiences in games I have had (you didn't explore enough around there by the way, this game rewards you going off the beaten track)
its a beautiful game and there are alot of likeable characters, its really well done.
The writing is painful edgy teenager deep and the story makes no sense, but the world is interesting and pretty so it's enjoyable anyway. Still can't take that dumb intro seriously though.
"I didn't know this was a horror game."
*You're gonna wish it was horror.*
It's not just a horror game. It's a horror manual. The ideas presented within the game translate to real world concepts that are terrifying.
Its pretty much Horror and social criticism, tho.
Whatever you do, it doesnt matter, you fuck up anyways.

Enderal is fantastic, I've spent many months playing this.
I agree it's fantastic but how the heck did you spend so much time playing it? I find its replayability very low.
@@Kris.G and it has its own problems. I thought i was high when my 2 handed weapons didnt reach the enemy when i swung it, but then i googled it and some ppl have pointed this out on reddit. The 2 handed weapon reach apparently has the same as 1 handed weapons, and is also the same in the prequel games of Vynverse.
And also the enemies becomes even tankier in high level areas and if you have not invested in handicraft or enchantment, better strap in for a long a boring fight. The ppl who point this out apparently get lambasted by diehard enderal fans.

Within the first 10min, I knew I needed it. Also your character in the thumbnail looks like Caleb from the Mighty Nein.
I sincerely hope you do a full playthrough of this game, that would just be amazing.
Hey helpful tip, if you choose the knowledge bits you get experience points for it! I put like 20 hours into this game so far and it only gets better! I know you only said maybe 2-3 more but I would for one love to see a whole series!
Damn, this mod looks fantastic! Would love to see more vids on this! I'm temped at givin' the mods a download myself after watching this.
That Cr1tiKaL impression at 8:56 was way better than it had any right to be, man.
You should play it yourself if you can. This first video already suggests Micky is going for a very quick run. You'll miss half of the mod this way. However, the story really packs a punch for the first time. If you watch a playthrough, there will be far less significance in playing it yourself afterwards, already knowing all the major twists in the story.
16:28 "Okay, let's do an adventure! ...all my clothes are gone again!" Okay you caused me to cough laughing here. I mean; the statement is one that seem to happen frequently doesn't it LOL
Since your fond of morrowind Mods, the team behind this mod made 2 mods for morrowind. I’m sure one of them has English subs.
The mods are as follows based on releas date:
Myar Aranath (Morrowind)
Arktwend (Morrowind)
Nehrim (Oblivion)
Enderal (Skyrim)
Arktwend was great. I remember that one. The part in the desert near the end was a single huge dungeon crawl, and I loved it haha :'D
Myar Aranath not so much - I'm not sure if I ever played it to the end. Don't remember it that well 🤔
Arkt is my bae.
Finally this masterpiece game is getting popularity it deserves. I hope you continue playing it. For me Enderal is on the same level as Morrowind.
I'm watching this 8 months later and my mind is just blown. Enderal is one of the best games I’ve ever played tbh
For real though the story of this game is insanely good. Emphasis on insane
@My Name Is Donk And I Love To Honk personally, overall, I think so. Obviously it could not exist without Skyrim. Enderal revolves a lot more around its main story, some people prefer the other way
Personally I think Enderals Story is so much more enjoyable than Skyrim's that I couldn't believe it on my first playthrough. it's ridiculous.
This gives me Fable 2 vibes when you're in that weird dream farmhouse place with your sister.
Wow I had no idea how fully fledged this mod is. I was following it in its early stage of development. Now it’s on steam with its own trophy’s and a compatible special edition.

Great video as always, would love to see a play through of the mod
You really picked this amazing conversion mod up, made a video, talked about how great it was and what you're doing next, and then just dropped it forever. Never to be finished. Why are you like this
Always loved that intro scene.
"BRING ME A NICE CRISP PIECE OF MEAT, BRING ME A NICE CRISP PIECE OF MEAT, BRING ME A NICE CRISP PIECE OF MEAT, BRING ME A NICE CRISP PIECE OF MEAT!!!"
It gave me goosebumps the first time I ever watched it. Such great acting. Amazing scene.
And it just stuck with me for the rest of my life really. Like I just quote it sometimes just to like try to show what a scary situation is to people.
Honestly I thought it was over acted. And honestly, after Nehrim, pretty predictable. Shit always seems to go horribly wrong in these intro parts, but thankfully they are short and filled with nifty puzzles.
Couldn't get this out of my head for days
That cririkal impression was out of the left field and so on point lmao
I just saw the reviews of another youtuber, Warlockracy, about Nehrim, what a coincidence. The hype you generate make me think I'm gonna try this mod
Sir, please tell me how does one develop such a great music taste. I came here for TES content and eventually stayed for that feeling of nostalgia whenever you mention one of my favourite songs (and also for that lovely Irish accent), seriously you make my day every time this happens. @@gergokerekes4550 that's fair but its phonetically the same.
Enderal is one of the greatest stories told in the video game medium.
Change my mind.
I’m not kidding though.
This game straight tells you the truth but still gets you to believe in a lie.
Like it’s just that good bro.
It uses the tropes of games to trick you into not thinking about what your doing and before you can even realize this.
Bang.
Game end.
Play this if you haven’t already.
You will be floored.
Well, not to like hate on this game, but many other games that are established classics have already done this exact type of story, and in all honesty a lot of Enderal is just like dark/depressing for the sake of being so, there isn't a thematic reason behind it.
Look at games like Persona, Telltale The Walking Dead (mainly season 1 cause it's the best one, though the rest are good and 3 is the worst one but not that bad), Life Is Strange, Final Fantasy 7, Nier (Replicant/Gestalt and Automata), the Souls series, many Tales Of games etc... These games have very depressing/dark moments or are just that for the entire game but if you study the themes and story it'll make sense. They even have some funny or wholesome moments here and there to show that humans have both a dark and light side and aren't just depression all the way through.
Enderal is just depression just cause.
But it definitely has better writing than most games released in the past decade.
Damn, that was uncanny... I am currently playing through Dragon Age Origins and was dying from laughter when you mentioned your character looked like Allistair!
Too bad Origins never got a real sequel, the series went to total shit immediately. At least it got some dlcs before it was over.
@@Assdafflabaff Eh, I enjoyed the other games in the series myself. My first introduction to the series was Inquisition, then I found 2 on sale real cheap, and finally got DA Origins on Game Pass. But no problem brother, if you weren't a fan, I completely understand!
@Aaron Eckhart from In the Company of Men Yeah it's like the devs and writers who made the original were all fired or changed around or something. 2 was just totally different and much less of an rpg game. Same way people complained about later Mass Effect games deteriorating. Honestly 2 and inquisition is like they were literally trying to turn Dragon Age into "medieval fantasy mass effect" instead of continuing the real game's legacy.
Been playing through this for the last couple of weeks and I love it. While it doesn't exactly make a whole lot of sense for the size of the place, the world has a load of extremely different biomes to explore. The dungeons are really good, without ever feeling too cookie cutter. The story's actually pretty engaging, including the side quests. Yeah, quality time.
@My Name Is Donk And I Love To Honk way better bro...
The first 5-10hours can be a bit slpw paced, but after that the main story got so mysterious and intense i just had to do the main story first in my first playthrough. You easily get 50-70hours insane mainstory only. 200+ with side quests and exploring. Your choices will affect the outcome of quests and also of the mainstory!
Story 10/10
Soundtrack 10/10
Gameplay well its skyrim, but the magic is really fun in enderal tho
Enderal is one of the best games for me
@My Name Is Donk And I Love To Honk Interesting question!
I would say incredibly well. I'm far more compelled by the story. The way the leveling/exp system works is great, since it won't let you cheese your way to power via crafting. It also seems to work very specifically towards making you specialize so you don't become some all powerful jack of all trades.
One of my favourite mods for Skyrim is also something that rather shows up it's shortcomings regarding level scaling; Alternate Start. It'll let you start off at any number of points on the map, waltz into the nearest dungeon and get on just fine. I tried pushing out of the opening area in Enderal and immediately got destroyed. Then I came back through that area at a higher level and kicked arse and it felt like I'd earned it.
That might sound a bit restrictive, but once you reach the game's big city, Ark, the world opens up and it works great. The balance is perfect.
The effort they put into this is pretty amazing.
Enderal is one of the best RPGs I've ever played.
34:10 LOL I was not prepared for that.
The story is really a masterpiece, I felt like I read a great book after finishing it.
omg ikr?! what a wild & tragic story, the whole way through
@Deniz Metin T. Yeah, the baker woman has had one too many.
I mean it has actual books to read evem short audioversions lol
I just started Enderal lol, this is a blessing!
i Would suggest you to play Nehrim first , you will understand stuff a lil better and well more hype. Although nehrim is bugged .. aa lot but it pays off. If you dont wanna play nehrim atleast read its lore. But you can also play enderal and play nehrim later and play endral again.
yes i am a enderal fanatic.
@@bonbonbot8444 wow, thank you! Nehrim do looks awesome, let me play it 1st then. But isn't there also mod for Morrowind? Should I play that before Nehrim and Enderal?
@@patrikstraznicky6414 the morrowind one is way way buggy and the ending is kinda incomplete. There are Two mods .
Arktwend and myar arantha
Myar arantha is not related to the story so no need to play it.
Arktwend is related to the story but its way buggy and kinda incomplete, I would suggest you to read the lore and story of arktwend instead as there are some very important character in that game that do come in nehrim but still you don't need to play it.But if you love morrowind and are very much aware of console command interface of morrowind and can handle the bugs you can play arktwend.
Do play nehrim though because it's amazing and you can totally find the answers for the game breaking bugs on internet and once you play nehrim .. everything ( specially the intro make way more sense 😂)
@@patrikstraznicky6414 also Nehrim is way more ambitious than Enderal so some information that is given in nehrim will confuse you in Enderal as they changed it deliberately in Enderal.
Another thing is that nehrim and arktwend is only available in German voice acting as the studio is German . They were only able to made Enderal with English voice acting.
But the subtitles are in English so no worries.
Also the writer of Enderal recently published a book on one of the character of Enderal (Jespar .. the Gray haired guy in the starting as he is fan favourite). So you should also read that once you complete everything.
Some one stop me .. my fan girl is exploding 😂
@@bonbonbot8444 Thank you so much for your suggestions! ^^ Imma try arktwend for sure, Morrowind is my favorite elder scrolls game.

The amount of times he walked past either a sword or bow was comical hehe. This mod was a lot of fun, glad to see others enjoying it too!
I don't think he's suited to playing open world RPGs with a lot of emphasis on exploring. Or maybe when he's recording a video, he feels an immense pressure to keep thing flowing fast, so he can't explore like one should in games/mods like this. You don't want to leave a single stone unturned in this TC, even more so than in Skyrim itself.
@@herrakaarme Yeah i get that, i know a lot of let's players mention how easy it is for them to miss stuff because of the divided focus on both the game and entertaining the audience
