I didn't even know how to categorize it. As for that damn harmonica; it doesn't fit, and it wasn't in the version that i heard. All i know is that everything about this is unique to me; I 've never heard anything like it in 50 years of listening to Music.

Venus! Brilliant club. Started going there when the Hacienda went pear shaped. Wonderful, wonderful memories! Saw this band live, at the Zap in Brighton too - another ACE nightspot. They were warming up for Weatherall.

Right on , You WERE blessed ! My wife and I saw them perform in the 90’s also in a small venue at the Roxy in Hollywood ... and actually had the fortune , thanks to my wife’s boldness and determination , to chat with them after the show. Now that was a true blessing that I will never forget .🤩

I grovel at the feet of Andrew Weatherall for conjuring up all these genre defining tracks that pushes boundaries everywhere: Screamadelica, Morning Dove White, Smokebelch II and the lesser known remix of Finitribe's 101. All seem to have been created just for me. And they all go so well with a fat blunt.

I first ever heard this song when I went to see the Isaac Mizrahi film "Unzipped" and a preview began with Elizabeth Berkeley slowing licking a stripper pole from bottom to top to the beginning of "Fallen" and stopped with a bang, "Showgirls" appeared on the screen and that was all. I desperately tried to find out what the song was, way before the Google days but eventually did. All my straight buddies were like we GOTTA see that movie!! I couldn't care less since I like boys. But did get the cassette album for One Dove and wore it out.
Discovering this song was like unearthing a buried treasure. Mesmerizing and simply transcendent. I can’t seem to go a day without listening to Fallen whether it’s this mix, the album or the original single.
