I have listened to (Spotify) or watched (RUclips) so many episodes of this podcast. I only wish I had started sooner. I am a little over a year from my stroke. I cannot express my gratitude for this podcast and for Bill and all his guests who have generously shared their recovery journeys. This podcast has been a source of encouragement and inspiration, especially in the inevitable times of deep sadness or self-doubt. This was one of the first episodes I chanced upon and I listened to it twice. To this day, I tell myself to ‘feed the recovery tiger’. Thank you Deven and thank you Bill for your enduring efforts to help our community.

Same here. I ignored all uncomfortable physical feelings coz I was extremely busy. I never knew I had diabetes and uncontrolled hypertension until after the stroke. I was 54 when I had the stroke. I was rushed to the hospital within 15 minutes and Im not sure what happened coz the 30 minutes operation lsyed 4 hours and it took a day before I wakened with severe disability when I could still use my arm and walk during the time thevambulance came. But I have stopped overthinking about thatvand justbfocusing on getting well.

@@BillGasiamis Thank you. Thank you for this channel as well providing both information and hope to stroke survivors. Is it possoble to invite guests who could shate about diet, supplements and specific interventions. There are so many things I know now whoch I wish I knew right after the stroke like the acute and sub acute phase where the intensity of neoplasticity was highest. I was asked which ffinction I wanted to focus on recovering immediately. I chose ating, speaking and cognitive function but now I wish I did something more for my arm and left hand too. I still believe I would ŕcover my left arm functìon no matter how difficult it is but now that I'm more confident hat it is easier to recover leg function, I could have done extra for my arm. These aŕ information that I wish I knew early on. Thank you for featuring a guest who did the PSE by Dr. Tobinick. It is a tteatment that should be reafily available to stroke survivors, even if only to relieve pain and spasticity. Im writing to medical research facilities here in Denmark hòping there eould be at least one influential healthcare practotoner who tould advocate deeper research on the procedure.
Studies on the efficacy of ginko biloba and curcumin during the scute and subacute phases. Im not a doctor just a board certified nutritionist but it would be great to hear from the experts on supplements that help also with the challenge of sleeping well since stroke furvivors need that to heal the brain. Sorey for the long comment. Since you already started this channel, why not makeot even more onfotmative by inviting stroke recovery experts to your podcast :). Just saying. :)
