    As soon as I heard this video... It now on its way to my house. Plus, I have been looking for "boutique" brands to invest in and they are two hours away from me. I personally feel Swindler Effects has outdone themselves. Thank you for crafting excellence; I've never loved chorus this much until now.

    I was listening to this with headphones on while walking down a busy street and I think a lot of external noises were bleeding in when I gave my original comment that I didn't like it. After listening to it through my monitors it sounds a lot different- very warm. My bad! Another great demo.

      All good homie! I'm glad you took the time to listen to it on some nice speakers. I feel like chorus sounds best if it's kind of subtle so I could see why it would get drowned out easily. I thought you might have been listening on phone speakers. The phase cancellation is so bad that if it goes 100% wet, it's silent. Thanks man!

    I love this. I had the Red Mountain and it basically had all the same controls and features. Having both would be KILLER.

    I have one of these at the end of my chain, which serves to widen out a bunch of mono effects into the stereo field. It's almost like a double tracker in that way, but adds a lo-fi lush vibe that I really like. My ONLY gripe is that the input headroom is pretty low, and it clips pretty easily. I was considering replacing The Gulf with a Keely 30ms, which also sounds really cool - but man i can't let go of how sweet this pedal sounds. A mini active volume control before The Gulf helps with the headroom issue.

      AwakeFM I’d really like to try the new version of the Gulf. Although, I did just get the GFI Synesthesia and it’s a pretty damn serious item.

      @@aBunchOfPedals damn man that does indeed look like a serious item!! I'll have to keep an eye on that - looks like it would really level up what I'm trying to do with my effects system.

      AwakeFM I’ll have a video out in the next few weeks. It’s awesome though. Beautiful stereo, all kinds of midi control. It runs 2 dsp chips so you can have two effects at once.... you can also run them together, cascade one into another or stereo split them. Aaaaaamd there’s a software editor that makes everything so much easier.

    • @nathanricker1
      @nathanricker1 5 лет назад +1

      I know. I was kidding. I’m a huge CB fan. Stereo is nice. Not always applicable with the guitar. These pedals seem like a nice second pick prom date though. If stereo is necessary. I, personally, try to keep the stereo mayhem to a minimum. In a band situation, live, it tends to draw too much attention if you have other guitars or even keys. It’s great for recording if you just do maybe one stereo track to catch the ear. People go too crazy with it I think though. Makes a mix sound confusing ha

    • @aBunchOfPedals

      Loud Spirits I hear ya, stereo is super fun with headphones but you definitely have to use it sparingly in a mix

      Sorry for the necro, but it has a very similar profile to the Julia and has more features. As of right now, it costs about the same but unfortunately the Gulf is by far more difficult to get a hold of compared to the Julia.

    great playing and sounds but..cant tell if if seems very stereo but my ears are maybe weird lately. the synth part sounded more stereo, more wide, /kind of, maybe. maybe it is just softer? than some of the other treble forward crunch type chorus pedals but. maybe this is just more vibrato centric.

    I'm thinking of getting one of these and I have a Disaster Area QConnect. I'm guessing they don't have this specific device in their firmware, so how did you set it up with Midi?

    • @aBunchOfPedals
      @aBunchOfPedals  4 года назад

      I think I just used the midi for tap tempo, that was right out of the box. I would check with both manuals on how to do other stuff. Sorry, I'm a MIDI dummy.

    Thats a nice chorus. Stereo analog chorus is a rare thing, and even more rare is when it’s done right. Analogman Bi-Chorus is good, but $300. The MXR is kind of weak. Then there are some stereo preset ensemble pedals but I’m not a fan of not having knobs to adjust depth and speed.
    This or CE-2 Waza......this has better functionality. Like the waveform options and ramp function.
    When can we expect to see more of these? Sold out on the website.

      @@aBunchOfPedals I don't mean to have a pop btw, I know tone is very easily misunderstood online. To answer though, listening to stuff that's 100% out of phase is generally (I think) agreed as being an unpleasant experience - not to mention it being fairly impractical in terms of mono compatibility (which I know you address). Call me old-fashioned but I just don't believe there's any use for a stereo pedal that is 100% out of phase.. Any mix engineer or mastering engineer worth their salt would agree, I'd hope.
