Two Rivers was the third song written for and professionally recorded by Avril. The song was inspired by the Indigenous heartbeat of Canada, and by the poetry of Mohawk poet E. Pauline Johnson (1861-1913). It was an exciting time for me, my family and fellow musicians involved in the My Window to You CD project. We were one link in a chain of Avril's early development.

I've been listening all three songs Avril recorded with you a lot lately after discovering your videos. It's amazing to hear her sing these songs which are so different than her later work but are all really great and shows just how versatile she's always been. Thank you for giving her the opportunity to feature on your albums.

Hi Stephen. Is Avril a bad person? she no longer talks to anyone from her original band. She quarreled with Cliff Fabri, I found the facebook of the owner of the pizzeria and he does not follow her or name her. I found people from Napanee who criticize her because she forgot about them. I love her, but it's very rare that nobody who knows her defend her or speak well of her from the people who knew her in the past.
Are you really surprised? She had so much potential as a teen, but she grew up into such a shallow and vapid adult.

I think people underestimate what an evil machine the music business is. Avril had an incredibly unique, pure spirit. I don’t know what happened to her but it’s obvious to me that the person who is representing her likeness today is not her, and hasn’t been since her debut album.

i used to be a big fan of hers but I feel like she uses alot of people and guys to stay relevant in the music business....when she doesnt need to .... apart of me wishes she went into country cause i wonder what side of her we would of got...but its like shes staying so hard to still be known as the pop punk princess so she does whatever even if it screws people over....I hope she finds herself again but

But my brand new digital compilation album called LATE ARRIVAL has the 3 original songs that Avril sang lead vocals on as well as one I sing where she sings backup vocals. Thx! I agree that Avril’s version is way better. Songwriting is my cup of tea. I’m a bit of a reluctant performer to be honest. Avril had a real strength at learning my songs fast and performing them with her own dynamic energy
