    Another simple trick: use sensors (storage & power) combined with a beacon so that your extractors tell you when there's no more resource or the canister is full. I put blue on working extractor and when it's green I know it needs my attention.

      How does your Setup know, that there isnt any ressource anymore???

    • @krevetka9744
      @krevetka9744 2 года назад +2

      It stops while not being full. Meaning there is no resource underneath.

    • @Ikller-xh7qq
      @Ikller-xh7qq 2 года назад

      @@krevetka9744 I know, but how do you register the stop?

    • @krevetka9744
      @krevetka9744 2 года назад +3

      @@Ikller-xh7qq Oh I only used the storage one for my game. But for registering the stop I'd make Power > Battery > Extractor setup. So that the battery is only getting power after the extractor consumes none. (Providing it does not consume power when not working. Haven't tested that really).

    Another thing that's useful early on is to use the tractor as the main transport. Large rovers are hard to power, but you can make large rovers a trailer for the tractor and it costs minimal power, but increases storage space by a ton.

    The tapping V for faster paver have been patched recently, you still can go fast, but not as it used to

  • @Arnold-_-Xasnega
    @Arnold-_-Xasnega 2 года назад +39

    Another good tip is: when collecting resources try to make a hole
    between them and adding terrain, this will make you collect a lot more at once.

    • @tam_69420
      @tam_69420 2 года назад +1

      this for some reason doesnt work at all when used in the surface resources, in fact its faster to dig surface resources then it is to dig terrain resources

    • @Arnold-_-Xasnega
      @Arnold-_-Xasnega 2 года назад +2

      Maybe you don't do that correctly. Well, try to see if your tool is showing resources in the area, so when you go digging, dig a hole in the middle of a large deposit and switch to "add terrain" quickly, then switch back to "collect". This tip also works by just getting to the depot and adding land, but be careful, you can get up to 5 resources at once. And there it is gg

    • @samualwindham8689
      @samualwindham8689 4 месяца назад

      It does save time in the collecting aspect, I find that I usually have to sit there and scan to find the rest or even see if there is anymore. I usually average about the same either way

  • @umbaupause
    @umbaupause 2 года назад +24

    Actually, the paver and drill thing can become even better: If you accelerate to maximum speed, then let go of the accelerate button and activate drills without trying to 'drive', the rover will just scoot along at the speed it was at when you let go. It will eventually slow down, but it will still go really fast for a while.

    Im a complete idiot. I just sunk almost 30 hrs into this game without even realizing the terrain tool has different modes from the start. I just assumed anything other than the digging tool was something that you had to add on as an augment later in the game. Ive been digging to cores in the least productive way this whole time lmao it actually added some interesting challenge tho, now that i know i can just dig, flatten, and pave new paths all at the same time this seems too easy

    • @KuyaGameAstroneer
      @KuyaGameAstroneer  Год назад +1

      That must be because of No man's sky 😅 you need augments even for basic terrain manipulation

      @visualsynthetics9882 Год назад

      @@KuyaGameAstroneer ya im not sure why, I did play no mans sky for a bit but never got that into it. I guess I overlooked the tutorial page for the terrain tool, and assumed it would be too OP to have the other modes from the start. I had already activated 3 cores before I learned this. Imagine how much time I spent making winding path ways and the only way I thought I could build back up in early game was the leveling block lmao

    Hey just wanted to leave some friendly advice. You pronounced tier like tire which is completely understandable. It's actually said like the word tear. Or at least that's the closest I can think of to how it is pronounced. English has so many words like that lol not to mention words like colonel which is said like kernel but there's no freakin r in it lol. Thanks for the tips. Been playing on switch. I really wish I could get satisfactory on switch though lol. I think it's still early access on steam though.

    At 7:11 your Research Catalog shows 7 categories, personal, small, medium, large, and 3 I don't recognise, what are those? Are they a mod? Something specific to console (I play on PC) or something that you unlock? I have never seen the last 3 categories before.

      It's the creative mode catalog. You get it of you play a creative game. Basically it lets you print items that are part of the game but that you can't print in adventure, for example resource ores, plants and more
