Original or copy... It doesn't matter, I respect people who take time to share raw talent with us in any way.

yeah, I think it's the effort invested that matters as well.

I love this video. I draw portraits and it is a highly involved process that I believe requires a high degree of of both left and right brain simultaneously. I love your videos, you are extremely talented!

In my country we have the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and it is brutally hard to get entrance there, you have to be at least as good as You are in technical skills and craft in drawing, painting, and even then you must be very lucky because of the limited quota per year. And after those five years of hard work at the uni, eventualy, you will have a diploma that you are an Artist.

People often ask why do you not just take a photograph. I usually answer by saying that I enjoy the experience of drawing pictures as there’s never going to be an identical reproduction every time I do even the same one. Apart from that I enjoy drawing not taking pictures it’s as simple as that.

Yeah, I said the same thing to a number of people as well.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this topic - I love topic videos, I think they are my favourite type of art video. I absolutely think portraits and realism is real art. Your art work in particular is phenomenal. I wish I could draw at a similar level as you so I really appreciate all of the time and effort that goes into drawing people and it shouldn't be undermined or dismissed 😃👍

I agree. If there is time, skill and effort involved in creating a piece, it has my respect and appreciation. Art professors no doubt have their own opinions. 😁

Miroslav you are a highly talented artist,in my opinion. I have recently been watching a programme on tv called portrait artist of the year. Some of those artists use a grid to assist them in their drawings and painting. My question is, is using the grid method cheating or just use of another tool to achieve the best results.

grid method is the most precise I guess, but not much fun. tracing is quick but lacks precision. eyeballing is the most fun.
