Hi Sir! I learn IMMENSELY through your videos. I love rotties so much and I am wondering if they can be a suitable truck dog. I would like to take him/her everywhere, train daily and feed most quality food. having a honest opinion from you is most welcome! Thank you for all u do!
Larry I just wanted to tell you how impressed and useful I find your teachings and your approach to dealing with dogs and humans. I saw something from another trainer but I don't want to have the dialogue In the public space is there an email I could reach you at? Thanks again for EVERYTHING...
Great channel. My 6 month old boy had great off the leash recall but in the last couple weeks he has somehow taken on the attitude that he comes when he’s ready. Is the solution to go back to king lead? Does my command need to be changed ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, again love the channel.
Go back to the longline if you need to. The most important thing with recall is that when you give the «come» command, the dog HAS TO end up with you. No matter what. If he has experienced that he doesn’t need to come when you say so, he will start doing it when he feels like it, and that’s no good. Use the longline to train, but go start up from a distance that he can handle and expand from there. Dont be afraid to give him a correction if he doesn’t listen, you know that he knows the command and just chooses not to listen. Thats when correction can be used. Be sure to correct as soon as he doesn’t come, dont do it when he finally comes back to you or you are making him think that he gets punished for coming back. Good luck :)
I don't know a doberman or Rottweiler you need to spend enough time with them trainers are okay but they can be expensive I rather work myself with my dog from when they're little
Something about this doesn't sit well with me. The owner's got this puppy and aren't doing any of the training themselves? What are they expecting when they take the puppy home and are on their own with the dog? Especially a Rottweiler who might go through phases of rebellion and challenge to authority?
From what I understand, it's a requirement he makes from the start before taking on dogs, that they have to be involve. And I guess you quickly notice that when you have the first one on one Communication with client.
She is doing really well Larry. Nice work .
Yeah the owner should be there at the training session

Larry, could you talk about how she became nervous and scared in first place? Is that a result of poor breeding? Lack of proper socialization?
🥰

Obviously you are unaware of how my board and trains are conducted especially after the fact
I will be part of their life for at least the first year and most of that time is spent on teaching the owners how to live with and handle their dog
