By the way, most people do not bring this up, but these are like Rolexes. You buy them use them send them in for spa and sell them for the same or more than you bought them. It’s like having free Chris Reeve Knife for as long as you want. Crazy, right

@@hobe9078 well it's like with everything: once it rolls off the factory, you loose a chunk of it's original value. The trick is to buy them used (at 80%), then you can easily recoup your investment down the line

I bought the same large Sebenza you have but with the drop point blade, and I've had it for about a year now. It's by far my favorite knife. It just feels great to hold and use. And looks great too. So now I'm come to the conclusion that I need an Umnumzaan. RIP my sanity while trying to find one.

I’ve never seen the whole folder lineup at once. Awesome to see. I’m 2 years into a Sebenza Large wait and 4 years into a Mnandi wait. Both will be lefties, thus the long wait. The Mnandi was originally 14-18 months for a righty. I’m so excited to see them when they come!

I Typically bring the small bog oak to baptisms, weddings, fancy events because of the inlay but they are all perfect. I love the drop point blade, I was just looking at a large inkosi with a tanto but I don’t think it’s useful for my tasks. I’ll stick with my sebenzas for now! Thanks again for the video!

TRULY EXCELLENT REVIEW! Chris Reeve Knives should pay you! So nice to be able to see you compare and contrast all the different models, blades, inlays, and finishes to help us decide which one we want to start with. You are really a PRO when it comes to CRK, and it is so helpful to hear all your tips and recommendations! (I just subscribed to your channel, maybe you're a pro with other knives too!) Also, not many people would have so many CRK to compare side-by-side, so that was cool to see. Funny because I thought I knew what I wanted (Large Sebenza), but after watching your video - it made me think maybe an Umnumzaan? Maybe an Inkosi? I'll have to watch your video a few more times and really think about it. Also, I didn't think I would want Mnandi (because I like larger knives), but after this video - now I definitely want to get one for more formal occasions! I still think I'll end up getting the Large Sebenza, just because it is what I always wanted, and it's such a classic. I guess I'll just have to just slowly buy a few of them! I also want to get a Pacific fixed blade someday - and I think they're making them in Magnacut now! 😃 The other high-end knife I want to get (someday) is a Hinderer XM-24 with full stonewashed titanium scales - so cool! Thanks for taking so much effort and time to make this video!

Not sure why everyone is waiting so long and ordering direct from CRK. You can find them brand new on secondary market or many small sebenzas are sitting at dealers. If you pay a markup, it’s not a big deal, probably the price of going out to dinner at this point. Go look at DLT. Lots of smalls there right now. Or go to a knife show and pick one up. Don’t get a glass blasted. Let those snail trails shine!

Idk what your fixation is on the small Inkosi and mnandi being only for “ciTy fOLks”, but even those can be hard use knives for anyone, not just for people in “uNfReE sTatEs.” Besides, people can carry what they want and pigs wouldn’t care 99 times out of a hundred

I daily a large inkosi at work every day and they definitely have become mid priced in the collection compared to Koenig, spk, oz, etc.
CRK and Hinderer have gotten much easier to get recently. Especially on the secondary like Facebook groups and blade binge. I got my last xm18 lnib for $380 and my large inkosi for about $400. Both brand new. I’ve had both the tanto and drop point zaan and didn’t pay more than $509 for either. You just have to keep an eye out and be fast on the dm’s lol.

Comparing a Zaan to a Rolex is not really.... reasonable.
    1. You can buy a Zaan online from dealers (if you sign up for emails and get lucky)
    2. You can pay the mark up if you want one that bad, and I get that in percentage terms, its similar, but in dollar terms, it is not.
    3. There is no "wait list" for a Zaan. There really isn't one for a Rolex either (hahaha) even though they will tell you that there is...
    4. A Zaan cost what, $500 new from a dealer and how much on eBay? $750? A white Daytona is never going to be obtainable from a dealer unless you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, and if you want to play the gray market, a $15,000 watch becomes $30-32,000. Not really an apples to apples comparison. Again, I understand that percentages are similar (using something like a 126610LN for example), but most people would be more willing to spend an extra $200 vs an extra $3500.
Great video though, very informative. :)

That said the Sabenza is a $100-150 knife at most with a huge "internet hipster" tax and a frame-lock aka the shittiest, laziest type of lock you can put on a knife. It's a purse or a stupid pair of shoes only for guys online who have soft hands.

lol. I disagree with your price, they're undeniably high quality, USA made in premium materials, they're at least $350+ knives. But I agree they're a closet hipster knife now. The same people who think records "sound better" think CRKs still have good action and ergonomics. The same people who still buy new Benchmades buy CRKs. Literally the only thing I liked about mine, aside from where it was made, was the resale value. I sold it for what I paid for it, bought a Herman, and that was everything I wanted in a premium knife.
