Hey TBull, I've been listening to your thoughts on Von Essen and I have finally gotten him to a respectable level, 14/2. I put him on the Bayern with a high level Hyde, using Alidad and the AP shells just bite right into the ships. It's a very noticeable difference. Looking forward to mixing up my builds and finding other places to use him. Thanks for your videos, very informative.
@@mightymacgregor769 I prefer it, I definitely will when I get him fully maxed (if ever). I think it’s a personal preference though, I don’t mind being spotted in Stalingrad as the range is so insane, and with Riga I’m going to be getting up to islands and not sitting open water, so it doesn’t matter to me there either. Maybe not on Tallinn though.
@@TbullGaming Yes you are countering the base traits effectiveness by running it. I figured the base trait would be inspiration only. Otherwise just a kuznetsov clone without having to swap inspirations.
That ram was a lot of damage against the Nelson. I have mixed feelings about Rams, I think it keeps the game interesting however it's also a sure way to win when you're one ship up. Plus I am a Ford owner ha ha.
I don't often ram; the main situation you want to be looking for is when you can trade a low health BB for a high health BB with your ram. You can be on the lookout fora rare situation like this where you have no torps, no ability to win a DPM fight and no ability to disengage.
There're a lot of huge, situational advantages that are present in certain circumstances, and figuring out what those are is a big part of learning the game
I've heard it's a nasty beast. They often do balance the ships differently version though, so you never know until you see them in action. E.g. Yudchai
Does anyone can tell me if is worth to buy the Black Friday crate for 1K doublons? Or it's better to spend buying a campaign admiralty? I have like 7,5K doublons that I have been saving up to buy a premium ship
If you are just starting the game and want to spend money I'd suggest the Firepower Deluxe physical copy of the game. Gets you 4 premium ships, credits, extra doubloons and credits...if you want to spend doubloons I'd advice the campaign first. Gets you a guaranteed premium ship if you finish the weekend havoc missions which are relatively easy to do. Crates are always a gamble. I bought a few yesterday and got premium time, boosters and credits. A buddy bought the are amount and got a ship. Also this current campaign gets you a t4 premium ship and a t7 premium ship, both of which are good at what they do. My thoughts :)
The campaign will have a guaranteed ship as long as you complete the missions each week, along with commander upgrade currencies, whereas the crates have a chance to get a ship. You can check out my video from last week on the Mainz to see if it looks appealing to you, but the smart money is on the campaign over the crates
The Admiralty Backing is generally considered to be the best spent doubloons in the game. Having said that, you might want to consider the Firepower Deluxe Edition of the game, if you don't already have it. It's a physical copy of the game...Amazon sells them...I got mine for ~$11 USD. Check to make sure that it's for your region...North America, Europe, etc. Also that it's for your console, Xbox or PS...and lastly make SURE it's a NEW item...used will NOT have the free code in it. The free code is what you're buying it for... gives you FOUR Premiums...Tier 3 Japanese cruiser Iwaki, Tier 4 US battleship Texas, tier 4 Japanese destroyer Kamakaze, and tier 5 US battleship Arizona...
Kagero: tries to suicide torp, runs into New Orleans, loses half his health
*1 min later*
Kagero: "Wanna see me do it again"
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me, we can't get fooled again
Last time I came this early I had a kid 9 months later…
I'm very underwhelmed with this after the fantastic tallinn

The combo with Hyde will obviously have the most noticeable impact, but I would try him out on anything that is primarily shooting AP.
I would say it looks more like a baby Kremlin
I think u should do a drive by, cause the Tallinn can citadel Nelson. that mean rega can easily citadel Nelson
Good game. Nice use of cover.
Thanks!
Black camo on the Riga, very stylish.. I maxed Ivan B D Lightful… dispersion is noticeably better and increases penetration and AP damage.
Do you find the row 4 trait worth the concealment trade off?

It's a bizarre commander, in that there seem to be two main builds inherent in it, but neither of which can fully utilize his unique perks.

Last couple of minutes are a textbook example of why you don't chase Japanese cruisers.

Good vid as is tradition
Try Riga with Lightfoot and the French commander Lemonnier for a range ghost build
There's a number of different interesting builds for these lines, might do a deep dive at some point
What does this Silver flag do?
Try BD lightful as the commander!
Just wait until legends gets the Petro. You guys are gonna lose your minds

I got 1.1 million green points, almost there. I'll have the Stalingrad in 2-3months maybe lol.
I'm looking at the 5-6 month range most likely

Man, that bad dispersion really comes in. Missing a well aimed shot at a Kagero at 4.3k is ridiculous.
Pretty sure his salvo hit the rocks and the shell tracers continuing on is a known display bug, hence no hits. We've seen this before.
Yeah, the accuracy is good close quarters, but long range it gets azuma-esque at times
Its a Russian ship, NOT a Japanese 😂 kamikaze style points!
