@Isaiah Turner Well I was right about his prime years, they ended at 2016. There is a reason that the people that avoided the shit out of him(Jacobs+Canelo) pounced after the Kell Brook fight, since Gennadiy looked.. Well not terrible but suddenly he was a superman no longer. I was sure that because of his tremendous pride he would stop boxing and leave undefeated, but the money was too good I guess. Prior to 2016 he boxed 3 times a year and always talked how much he love it, in 2016 and on only 2 fights per year. So I was kinda on the mark. Still surprising that he was active for so long, white boxers aren't known for longevity.
@Isaiah Turner Brook had some skill but was much slower at middleweight. Golovkins had bigger challenges before Brook. You are wrong about Golovkins former opponents, it's just because he was very hungry and in his absolute prime when he fought them. In 2016 he noticeably became less hungry and much slower. In 16 Gena was 33 which makes sense. White boxers lose their prime at 28-33.
@Isaiah Turner Brook was no where near the speed he usually was. He was very heavy on his feet and as expected of anybody who goes up 2 weight classes, gassed really quickly. Of course the relentless pressure and the body work of Golovkins didn't help. Also, did you just write that Gena fought bums who stood in front of him? Bruh, at least watch Lee Wylies break down of Golovkins vs. Alvarez, he explains Golovkins style very well there. He got all the KO's PRECICELY because people RAN all the time. Canelo figured it out after his first time with Gena, that's why he stood his ground in the second fight, with the bewildered Golovkin who didn't understand what to do against someone who actually stays in the pocket. Your whole comment was waaay off
Gennady is an Hype ?!?! don't make me laugh , if anything he is underrated - he should be in the same ring with bigger names - what a machine this guy is - they talk about his power but it's nothing compared with his skills : combos , balance , accurate in execution , patience , killer instinct and on top of that a life long experience in the ring coming from country where boxing is second nature - Rosado got big balls to face him but hes going to be KOed , Believe the hype - we need more of it
Well then you understand you cant just walk into Lou DiBella or Bob Arums office and say "I demand a fight with Martinez and/or Chavez Jr." , especially if the promoters are not willing to put their fighters in against this guy the way Sturm, geale and Pirog dodged this guy like the plague
I admit, it's still hard to see Golovkin's greatness, as so eagerly reported by Max Kellerman and other announcers. He seems to lack the raw athleticism and pitch-perfect timing of Floyd Mayweather, the tenacity of Canelo and his reported power isn't as discernable as say a Tommy Hearns. Who knows, the guy's definitely a well-rounded and refined fighter who may just dethrone Martinez if given time and opportunity.
This guy has a kidney guard on in sparring, i think that tells you everything about GGGs power if hes wearing 16oz gloves and can still break up that body
You got it down to a tee, isn't listening just so much easier!! And stop trying to predict what people are going to say next becos you havent got the chops for it, and i certainly wasnt gonna talk about GGG beating amateurs or winning a pat on the back from Abel sanchez for doing good in sparring lol
I am the only I guess been watchin this guy and I am not sold. GGG is a power house for sure but has awful skills . He reaches a lot and defend with his head. You can see he trying to learn some stuff. But after 400+ amatuer fights . He is instinctively stuck in his ways. Rasado is gonna fustrate and dominate this kid. DON"T BELIEVE THE HYPE-public enemy
I didn't see the previous posts, but the facts! Before the more modern & restrictive borders between East Germany and Western Poland especially, a great many Polish, & other Slavs, lived in E. Germany for many centuries! There was a natural cross-over from both countries! But, when Poland was more of a factor in Euro-history, their influence was deeper into the west than most people realize!
SuperDave9321 i agree 100 with that. carson jones fights that way tooPressure blocking punches with his head..Funny thing I just listen to an interview were he see GGG as the next Chavez sr. just with more power. Like chavez senior however always had issues big uissues with slick boxers. GGG is not that refined. sticking with my guns...Rasado inside 10 a boxing lesson.
So your not German? lol Anyways if Macklin and Barker are top opponents along with Williams then I really must have seen different fighters to you!!! As much as id love to say Macklin is a top fighter for obvious reasons, hes a C fighter at best, lots of heart but thats it... Chavez is the only possible tough fight Martinez has had in the last few years, the only one i wasnt 100% sure he was going to win, every other fight is against bums and nobodies
haha sorry if i hurt your feelings princess but you got me all wrong, and what you said bore no relevance on what i said!! I hope GGG beats the fuck outta Rosado, becos Americans hate the idea of a Kazakh (former Soviet) fighter coming over and dominating lol all yous want is Americans dominating, GGG unlike the rest of the MWs is willing to fight anyone!! And before you call me Russian im actually not
the golovkin all champions were running from for years
Dhafir Smith thank you for show me him
I remember when dhafir was starting out his career. He was the first fighter I saw in the gym when I first stepped in boxing gym at 19.
Damn, they got smith practically in body armor and the
champ still had to take it easy. Rosado is getting either
his ribs or jaw broken this weekend.
We all know he is fisically very strong but he is technically sound as well.
i knew about GGG because of bad left hook. this guys a real good fighter and ellie is definately helping spread the word around
No its a private gym, as far as i've heard very few reporters are allowed into the gym, kinda like Virgil hunters gym in Oakland
Before y’all diss Greg Hackett, know the guy he fought sparred w/GGG.
Also there are lots of Eastern Europeans living in Germany!! Albanians, Armenians, Serbians etc.
WOW WTF GGG's sparring partners wear body padding gear WOW!!!
how hard does this guy really punch????
Thats not his fault, thats just the way boxing is run in modern times. POLITICALLY!!
Gennady is 30 years old.He definitely wont stick around for the next 10 years.3 years at most i believe.

u strong as shit to handle him looking fast in sharp
I agree with you we all know GGG because of ellie. If it wasen't for ellie we wouldn't know who he is.

He's taking it easy but it looks like he's stepping his defense up a bit. Moves his head real well, definitely looks like he's ready for a taller guy.
Notice that smith has on body padding as we'll lol crazy.
He should fight Dmitry Pirog.
get Dhafir
Noticed*

Габриэль Росадо дислайкнул)
G got hurt with that last body shot. Body language says it all, maybe he's out of shape right now

well are you sold now (it's been 5 years)
that would be sick if rosado knocked him out
