A "hex" has no vertical edges. I assume you want to select all "vertical" edges of a hexshaped hole? Try using a filter for edges, select all edges then deselect the "horizontal" ones with a selection rectangle.
How would I know? I´m not a clairvoyant. If you do it exactly as I did, it will work. I assume it is a boolean operation? Seems the target & the tool don´t overlap/intersect.
Hi. For Pattern geometry command, How did you choose 25.98 as pitch distance for Direction 2 ? Can u tell me the calculation behind it ?
Nice ... Something new :)
Only the "global shapening" ;)
Hello, how can I round off the vertical edges of a hex by selecting all at once?

@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training Thank you for your advice.
thank you!
You´re welcome
Use "fill face" inside pattern command to make it even more easy
Yes ;)
NX shows Alert "The target cannot properly cap the open profile smart volume". What should i do?

you must have created the hexagonal profile for Rib on surface, you have to create a plane 2 mm away from the surface, then create rib..
Very often the NX can't complete some simple operation and engineer have to find a workaround. It takes allot of time to find a solution.
Maybe, but I can´t tell, I´m only a trainer not an engineer ;)
