Man, you guys are great. I spent 12 hours today migrating services from my pieced together jank homelab to my first rackmount server running docker on Ubuntu on proxmox and I was feeling a bit burnt out getting it all going. I just laid down and turned this on before bed and immediately want to get up and get back to work. You guys are great at keeping me motivated. Thank you. Cameron is looking more comfortable on camera already, can't wait to get some of his content. Hopefully once I get more settled into this industry I can help my younger brother as well. I have an interview with Temple University tomorrow for my first IT job tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Great episode, I am a pen tester, broke into the industry from retail. I have been watching you guys for a few years and can say you all have motivated me to keep going and I am so thankful!
Never in my wildest dreams thought I would hear Afrikaans on this channel. Awesome interview! In Afrikaans that would be: Dit was a moer goeie gesprek met die besonderse meneer David Bombal.
I see your brother playing off your comments and I like it, the three of you are goanna be on fire, love it!!!:-) Seriously only 34 seconds into the intro and I like it!!!:-)
Great podcast guys you really have great energie. I have adhd so i am right there with you chuck right on the roof whithout coffee! Cameron gives a good relief and David thank you for the story about your daughter i needed that God bless her you dont have to say you dont want to convert people you guys could not hide it if you tried or get payed by the hour
these 3 make you want to learn so much. wish teachers in school were like this. I hated school and never went because it was boring! i never knew David Bombal was based here in the UK.!
I did the Novell CNE and CNA it was before the MCSE FROM MS. I started in 1979. Ethernet was still a consideration over other network protocols. I worked for DEC. They were pushing DecNet on the PDP-11s. It wasn’t until Vax-11 started running Unix that we went to Ethernet. I worked on DEC Vax-11 Systems for a long time. Rumor was that Windows NT came from the Vax/VMS kernel. Most of my career since then has been software Dev, including device drivers on those OSs. I later got a MBA and worked in finance and real estate
My biggest Problem is to focus on one thing i want to work for. There are so much things i would love to adress but i have only one live and i feel i wont have the time to learn anything i need to know to adress everything i want to fix xD
I love the content you all put out. Small criticism, the audio on this is like David is shouting and everyone else is whispering. Maybe he is? 😅😅 that’s all. Keep the great content coming 😁
I still think oppertunies are much better overseas, in Africa you cannot exabit your skills without certifications - I'm based in Namibia just above South Africa and I know the struggle is real here, one sits with so many certs and your not exposed to all the technology.
And yes, it motivates to know there is some door you just have to go through and not fear that there are others who know more. But the thing that makes this concept very hard is if you have no basics to built on you are loosing the connection. Some basic networking stuff and coding overall (not write - just to understand the basic concept like you explained perfectly in the linux video) should be there if you want to "look into new stuff"
I agree so much with David's point on 'learning the principles'. It's similar to the process of learning to speak a second language. Learn how grammar operates on a mechanical level within the Framework of the language. Once you have mastered or begun to master the grammar, you can then focus on increasing your vocabulary and thus begin to speak the language. From then on, you can apply the same or similar methodology to learning to speak any language. In some cases there will be intermediary languages that share similarities between two or more other languages. Anyway, great and deeply inspirational podcast guys!
"Don't listen to the experts" David I can't even comprehend the pain you went through for your daughter. But is wrong to talk about doctors in a way that makes them seem as "fake". This is dangerous. The fact that they said one thing but your daughter overcame that it is beyond amazing, but there are countless cases where people not following medical advice paid the price. Yes you should not quit until the last moment for your kids, I agree. Let's be careful of our messages when it comes to health especially
Great conversation and content discussed! I think the 3 of you had a great flow and balance going (great job new guy). Keep it up, and THANKS so much for all the hard work and dedication that has brought you both (Dave & Chuck) to this point in your journey! Also, I have some ideas for Network Chuck for the Noob series, how should I get those ideas to you? Enjoying all your content here in Tx, motivating me more every day.
I really love your videos!! I wish you could also incorporate blue/purple team knowledge such as DFIR which is very important for anyone dealing with cyber security in business from all sizes.
Chuck and Cameron, i really like these podcast and i like them even more when they are recorded like this. But i didn't even know they were recorded and didn't know about this channel? I listened to them before on podbean. I recommend doing more "advertising" for this channel on your main channel.
would you do a course on data tampering with a example website which is really exist, don't test the data tampering on vulnweb or on the local host pls make a video on data tampering and otp bypass

Neither of you have any hacking certificates. You went from network experience to hacking overnight to cash in on the views.
It is so refreshing and encouraging to see people so accomplished in this domain mention Jesus. May he bless you the more.
