People need to go see this...especially all those people complaining about a lack of original movies.
This is the way
It is not...they use stock footage of an explosion that killed real people , and it wasn't that long ago
@@ShaneLeonwhen? Where’s the report?
Beruit bombing in 2020, they used blowback and city skyline for some of the VFX
@@ShaneLeonit's a couple seconds in the trailer. I bet that shot won't be in the film.
I worked on this movie for a week while living in Bangkok, Thailand back in May 2022. It was then titled True Love. I thought it was a romantic movie at first but in the scenes I shot it was all action and protesting. I was shocked to hear on the name change and that it was not a romance film. It was fun to work on. I spoke to JD a few times and he was nice. I play a military veteran in the film. I was an extra so no speaking roles.
Nice!
Great job.
It only paid $50 a day and I'm SAG too.

Just saw this at my local theatre. not since watching T2 Judgement day have I Been this SCI-Fi happy. This will be a epic true cult classic in no time, Hans Zimmer on the score & Greig Fraser’s Cinematography with Gareth’s directing really crafted a unforgettable & timely masterpiece.
Definitely need to work on your sentence structure my man.
Makes it sound like you walked out the theatre as soon as it started 🤣
The Creator only cost 80 Million if I remember correctly which is absolutely awesome! This film will turn a profit. It was also completely shot on a Sony FX3 camera which is very impressive!
Can you say more about the camera work? The imagery & cinematography looks unique that’s for sure.
It’s gonna make a profit, I also believe this wholeheartedly
If John’s first impressions are bad you can pretty much guarantee it will be a classic 😂
The ads in these are getting really frustrating. It might help to have them at the beginning or end instead of right after the topic
9:13 you said that Barbie wouldn’t make over a billion 😂
I admittedly haven't had an appetite to go out to the movies recently, but these reviews have me very intrigued.
It looks cool and it has a black lead....'bout time.
This is my most anticipated movie of the year, it looks incredible and these reviews have only raised my hype. So excited for next week.
Praying this movie does well. Can't wait
I saw the first screening in may and I thought it was a classic
Saw it last nite. Definitely a good sci Fi film with emotional weight and mind blown top notch CGI for the cost to create.
When I heard Hans Zimmer scored it . Was listening for an original score but it was kind of your basic sci fi score with more thrown in artist tracks from different decades. Give it 7.5 out of 10.
Got to see this movie a day early, damn it’s good
With a budget of around 80 million, I doubt it 'won't make any money'.
Also worth noting that this film only cost $80 million, which is pretty wild for this type of film. Definitely a factor in how "successful" it is
And then you the new Captain Marvel movie with a 250 million budget. Lmao
That is exactly why I look forward to this. This shit looks $300 mil while being under $100 mil. How the hell??
The visuals in it are easily the best thing. Some crazy shit happens in the final act and it looks real af. See it on the biggest screen you can
Oh sick you saw it already?@@LGF18
I personaly love 'Monsters', it's such a unique take on the alien invasion trope. It's even more amazing that Edwards pretty much did it all on a laptop.
Rob’s insights and insider knowledge are the best thing about the show.
I saw it today. The fact that they spent only 80 million dollars to make this visual delight with a a very interesting philosophy on humanity and AI is very hopeful....
I’m checking it out next Saturday. Looking forward to it. I was interested in it when I first saw the trailer. I hope it does well. 🙏🏾👌🏾
It was a brilliant, intelligent sci-fi filling the screen with beautiful scenery! Just loved it!
You had me at my favorite Star Wars movie (Rogue ONE)… this was my second most anticipated movie after dune 2.
Production value and cinematography are the selling points for me. Crazy how it's all under $100M.
Because it uses stock footage to cut corners in VFX
@@ShaneLeon how do u know?
@@ShaneLeon Stop spreading false rumors. The only stock footage was from the beirut explosion and the director confirmed that the shot won't even appear in the final cut. They kept their production budget so low because they only started doing vfx after the film was fully edited.
@@fazlerabbi460 if you know it's the Beirut explosion, then you just confirmed it's not a false rumor, it's a fact. It's been covered, go and watch the link instead of arguing, won't change my mind so you're wasting your time.
@@fazlerabbi460 so they finished the edit, THEN did the VFX, but the Beirut shot was composited so that would mean it's apart of the final edit.
How can john campea not interested in it? The teaser and trailer is just awesome. Also it's original sci fi 😁 after long time. More excited to see this movie this year.
It looks stunning, but while it's "technically original" the trailers make it look very derivative of other science-fiction films. I'm pleasantly surprised with the positive reactions.
This is the same John who was gushing over Blue beetle 🤣🤣
I’ll admit from the trailers the movie didn’t look like anything crazy special but I thought it looked fun, but hearing these kinds of reactions coming out of it has me really excited, like now I’m hoping that this could end up being like 2023’s Edge Of Tomorrow, where it’s an original sci fi action movie that kinda just comes out of nowhere and blows us all away, I love my franchise movies too don’t get me wrong but hearing that a new original sci fi action movie is getting these kinds of reactions makes me super excited
Makes one wonder how Rogue One would have been, if Disney hadn’t meddled in its production
Rogue One which by all accounts was rescued by Tony Gilroy, that one?
Let's be honest.Rogue one is only talked about because of the Darth Vader end scene
Even with all the meddling... it still turned out great... as compared to other star wars content under kathleen kennedy
@@DanielBlake-xc7mmcongrats on the wrongest comment of the day!
@@DanielBlake-xc7mmthat’s not accurate at all…when I think of R1 I honestly forget about that scene, I think of Jyn and Cassian, and their journey.
Been hyped to see this since the synopsis was announced at cinemacon earlier this year. First weekend in IMAX/ Dolby Cinema for me 😤 might not earn a ton in its first weekend, but it has strong potential to make bank from positive word of mouth and the fact that there isn’t a whole lot of major releases coming out next month
People are jonesing for a good Sci-fi fix since Dune Pt.2 isn’t coming out this year and this summers was just atrocious as far as blockbuster summers go so maybe this will be the movie that does it for them.
what kind of monster does not get excited by the trailer for this movie? lol
The first trailer just makes it look like a generic sci-fi movie tbh. The Aerosmith song doesn’t help it either. The latest trailer shows off the story better and captures the overall vibe of the movie than the first.
Looks like a new adaptation of “The Golden child”
If he ask for a knife....pleaseee. I'll lose it sweet brother Numsie
Not sure why he thought it didn't look good from the first trailers . It's an $85m film that looks better than $250m MCU and DC films.
How John can watch a trailer for the creator and not be excited but watch a trailer for a cookie cutter movie like blue beetle and be excited will always puzzle me
Looks far better yet cost about 40m less to make than Blue Bug!
You are preaching to the choir 😂😂👏👏
I've had tickets since they went on sale and I'm counting down the days.
Jesus, what a film !!! So many dimensions, great action and amazing visuals 👍
A masterpiece that belongs up there with Blade runner 1 and Ailen 1.
Wish they woulda kept him on Godzilla his movie felt so grounded and had awesome sense of scale. Now by the 3rd in kong v Godzilla it’s completely off the rails they move way to fast journey to the center of the earth sci fi crap
I'll certainly be seeing this one soon
Cool
These tweets are all using photos from the EPK. They aren't rando's who were at the premiere.
Everyone in the media has access to the EPK. That’s what the EPK is for.
Looks like they got the Playstation game formula adapted to a movie. I'll definitely give it a look.
Expected plot: Humans are evil! Robots are actually nice and kind.
John is always putting his shoe in his mouth ,always wrong
I need to see this
This is what people want - something new and original. Not another franchise sequel or superhero film. Barbie and Oppenheimer are new ideas - people went. I also think Ridley Scott's Napoleon will do well. People need a break from the assembly line of superhero/franchise movies and the studios need to be less reliant on them.
Barbie wasn't a "new idea" any more than the Mario movie was - it was based off a *massive* IP with huge international recognition. Oppenheimer is another story but as much as I want to believe people want to see new and original ideas I don't think it's true. People will turn out for the next dozen sequels and remakes while original ideas like The Creator struggle to break even.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but I won't believe otherwise until I'm proven wrong and it's going to take more than Oppenheimer to do that.
@@ryhanon7 Barbie was a new idea for a live action movie. Super Mario had been made into a movie before. Granted Barbie has the makings of a new franchise but when it came out it wasn't something people had seen before or even wanted as a movie. You may be right that people still want the same old thing but entertainment tastes have always changed throughout the years. I'm not saying superhero movies and franchises are done, I'm just saying maybe people are ready for more than that. I know I am.
@@liquadzcod5575 I'm sure studios had confidence in Barbie but keep in mind it wasn't a kids movie (PG-13) and was thought to appeal to a mostly all female audiences. The fact that adults and males went was mainly do to good reviews, and good word of mouth. Being an IP helped but it's an IP that nobody was sure would work as well as it did. Even if men went due to interest from girlfriends/spouses many agreed because it was considered good. It's been a long time since a couples movie was this successful.
@@liquadzcod5575power rangers was a big IP…didn’t do well. Big IP doesn’t equal doing well. Star Trek, The Flash,
@@liquadzcod5575 that’s debatable, but not the point. Barbie is not bigger considering it aims at ONE group. Girls. The open mindedness of this generation should not take away from the fact the audience is smaller than you think.
The version I saw...was good not great. Amazing visuals but the pacing and character development was iffy for me
Not a big fan of two-note JD Washington. You remember him in Tenet? I don't.
