      Hi Dan Two Products: Spartan poly bags and Suffocation Warning
      My current problem is how to catch up to my own inventory purchases. I’m trying to ramp up and finding new products to sell but the new products plus profit aren’t keeping up with the new products that I’m buying so I’m always behind in terms of my sales paying for my inventory I don’t know what point do I catch up and get ahead. I’m headed in the direction of WHOLESALE I do want to pilot some bundled products for the holidays.

    Dan, this is such great information. Things that a new seller maybe wouldn't think about. Now I see that I really have to look at all aspects of a product before choosing one. I am a JOD member also and really appreciate all of the information in those videos. Not everyone is willing to share the failures, but I am glad I can learn those too so I can be more aware of what to look for or avoid when searching for products. Love your in-depth videos Dan. Your personal stories help clarify your points. Regarding the tourniquet keyword problem, a thought occurred to me. Consider using the "commonly misspelled version" of the keyword within the name as a solution to rise above the keyword struggle. In this case, use "Torniquet", or "Tornicut", or "Tornikit", as the name of the version of the product. For example: "The Torniquet" Best tourniquet to protect your... Could this be a way to increase directed traffic to selective products, or does the algorithm ignore misspellings?

    Hey Dan, great video(s) thanks - just watching couple of them this morning and really like them so I've subscribed. You mention aiming for higher priced markets. What do you class as a higher price? I've seen $25 - 40 as a recommended window? High enough for good margins, low enough to catch the impulse buyer?

    • @qrz9219
      @qrz9219 3 года назад

      Hey Andrew, I would suggest a product between $20-$35 with at least 30% profit margin (or 30%+) is the best option. We would have at least $6 to play with while bidding for PPC. And depending upon the market, PPC could take around $0.4-$2. There are other factors to count in too though.

    Hi Dan , Thanks again for your super helpful videos . One question , if the product that is already in amazon warehouse ,((so no way to add anything to the product ) and it needs a fix ,(for example you need to send a fix to a customer after they have purchased the main product) , how can you actually do that ? Does Amazon TOS allow you to ship a (free) item (here i mean the fix ) to the customer directly ? if it is not allowed , what are the ways around this ?Thank you in advance .

    • @DanRodgers
      @DanRodgers  4 года назад +1

      Sheeraz there are 2 forms of Giveaways, Amazon Giveaways which is now shut down and then 3rd party site Giveaways. I wouldn't do mass-scale Giveaways with third party sites. In my opinion, PPC is a better strategy as you build more long-term ranking, get real market feedback and keyword insights as you lift the organic ranking.

  • @mohammedbelkadi2835
    @mohammedbelkadi2835 4 года назад

    Hi Dan,
    Great content!!
    I have a question where I can't really find an answer for. How do you evaluate a product that has one or multiple Chinese sellers selling it and being your top competitor?
    For example: I have found a product in the range of 30 to 50 GBP and there is a demand for it (about 30000k/month of searches), but they are sold by Chinese sellers for about 10 to 15 pounds higher than what they sell for on Alibaba for example, which means there is not much room for profit.
    Differentiation could be possible after some research but there are no obvious aspects to differentiate with, you could sell a different slimmer looking version, but the features would be about the same and there are not many issues with the product itself.
    In a nutshell: How can I tell if it's a good or a bad idea to compete with those Chinese sellers? I would really much appreciate your answer, maybe as a whole video!
    I came across multiple products where I just didn't risk to start with them since there are multiple Chinese sellers doing really well with high review rates.
    Thank you in advance

    • @DanRodgers
      @DanRodgers  4 года назад +1

      Hey Mohammed, I would avoid being emotional on it and check it on this:
      - 40% profit margin before considering ads
      - Visually different and unique differentiation (check this with a few other people to see if your differentiation would make or break a buying decision)
      - Reviews - low review competitors (under 50 reviews) are selling 300+ units per month
      If you can't stand out enough on this one, which it sounds like, I would move on, there are tons of opportunities, it just takes time and you'll find one where you have an "aha" moment, almost like "why has no one done it like this yet" and you be the first to do that. Review research is critical and then speed of implementation on your idea.
