I genuinely don't think Terry fontenot has been that bad. Bijan, London, penix, Mooney, ray-ray, Tyler allgeier, Jessie Bates, etc. Not his fault the defensive coordinator can't call good plays. The only real mistake was Kyle Pitts, but he was viewed as one of the greatest TE prospects of all time by everyone, not just Terry. And Kirk of course but that's life
Not the scouts that said that he was lazy, couldn't block, and an overall low effort guy. He's tall and ran a good 40 time in a straight line at the combine. That's it.
His track record at managing QB he should be fired - Matt Ryan exit, tried to sign Watson (failed at that), Mariota, Ridder, 130m for Cousins coming off ACL….Penix is a gift but enough is enough.
I believe Coach Morris has at least another two maybe three years. I think during this time he and his coordinators are going to have to learn how to adjust an adapt. The Falcons seem to not be able to make adjustments to what the offense and defenses of other teams are doing. I could also see the Falcons moving around the draft for more pics. This seems to be a draft more for depth. I believe we may trade cow pits, and pick up another tight end and DB along with a kicker in this draft.
If we renew contracts for our current RT and Center, then I think we pick up defense on first two picks. An edge rusher like John Abraham would be really nice. I really like Nic Scourton and think that would compliment Judon and Ekibente, then with our second pick if they are there pick up a CB or Safety, like Jahdae Barron or Xavier Watts if Starks or Emmanworri aren't available. After that get either a offensive lineman that can shadow Matthews and could get into the rotation on the right side, we could sleep on a tackle and address that next year and scoop up a safety/cb/lb with our 4th pick
They hired a practice squad kicker that couldn't kick 50yds and they knew he couldn't kick 50 but they kept him and once again he missed another kick. 2 FGs back 2 back weeks and we're in the playoffs

I am sure they will improvements in all aspects. Fontenot stays as the draft picks have turned out great. Free agency and the draft will have to be the solution.
We dropped 2 games to an injured Koo. 2 Losses to the NFL's coin toss. We also got hosed like everyone else who plays Kansas City. We could just as easily be a 13 win team if the ball bounces our way. We have to get a game wrecking pass rush to win a Ring!

Even Judson was a mediocre pass rusher for us. I don’t trust the philosophy of just drafting pass rushers. We have a couple that will come back from injury. First round I say best available. Matter of fact do that with the first 4 picks and fill holes in free agency. We miss out on too many talented players by drafting need.
Jimmy Lake needs to get fired no question, I think terry fontenot should be fired as well. But keep raheem morris! I feel like he just needs more time with this atlanta time, and I like the attitude and mindset he brings to the falcons locker locker.
What game did you watch on Sunday? The defense was absolutely obnoxious. They do not wrap up when they tackle and we have no existing pass rush. Our secondary has got holes all in it. They couldn’t even cover their own shadow most of the time except for bait he’s pretty darn good, but don’t know if he’ll be around next year.
i have been a falcons fan for 50 years i think Penix is going to be great for the team but until they get a good coaching staff it will always be the same instead of giving kirk all that money they could have spent it on a good coach Morris makes around 4 million a year where Andy Reid makes around 20 million a year but look what you get in him he is well worth it a coach worth 4 million you get what you pay for.

Even Judson was a mediocre pass rusher for us. I don’t trust the philosophy of just drafting pass rushers. We have a couple that will come back from injury. First round I say best available. Matter of fact do that with the first 4 picks and fill holes in free agency. We miss out on too many talented players by drafting need.

Jimmy Lake needs to get fired no question, I think terry fontenot should be fired as well. But keep raheem morris! I feel like he just needs more time with this atlanta time, and I like the attitude and mindset he brings to the falcons locker locker.
What game did you watch on Sunday? The defense was absolutely obnoxious. They do not wrap up when they tackle and we have no existing pass rush. Our secondary has got holes all in it. They couldn’t even cover their own shadow most of the time except for bait he’s pretty darn good, but don’t know if he’ll be around next year.

i have been a falcons fan for 50 years i think Penix is going to be great for the team but until they get a good coaching staff it will always be the same instead of giving kirk all that money they could have spent it on a good coach Morris makes around 4 million a year where Andy Reid makes around 20 million a year but look what you get in him he is well worth it a coach worth 4 million you get what you pay for.
