Fair play, the timing isn’t perfect. But it’s one of the most authentic covers I’ve heard of the original. Doug Clifford would be proud. Well done Sir 👏👏👏
Great job! I deeply enjoyed the congas part as well a this excellent cowbell inclusion where necessary/. Alsom great drumming and very great tensiob build-up
Really good. Tiny criticism compared to the original studio version. The congas intro in time with the kit/snare i thought. You started after the snare .
Been looking for a minimal drum setup. Curious if a bass and one snare setup would work for most songs? Would you need that many cymbals, or is that a Doug Clifford thing?
I just set up whatever drums are necessary for a particular song in these videos so there isn’t anything getting in the way of the cameras. In reality for a typical gig, I think my minimum would be kick, snare, a floor Tom (14”), then hihats, ride, and one crash. You could probably get away without the Tom, but that may be too boring to do all night.
Appreciate you playing it like the original! A lot of drummers don’t play the bass drum part correctly. Good cover!
Thanks! I usually try to play covers as they are recorded so people can learn the proper parts.
Good stuff
This is the way this song has to be played. Simple and straight to the beat. AWESOME !!!!
Thanks! CCR has been in my top 5 for my whole life. I try to play these covers as accurately as possible. Take care.
There beenmy no 1 since I first them in the early 70 s
Superb as always.
Thanks!
Great playing ! you got me really into CCR lately, your covers help a bunch!
Great! I’m glad these helped you out. CCR has no bad songs at all and they’re in my top 5 all time favorites.
Another great orchestration. It sounded really good.
Thanks! This is a great tune. I don't know why I waited so long to cover it.
Very nice. One of my favorite CCR songs.
Thank you! I agree, it a great tune.

The best cover

Met too many 'jazz' guys posing as rock guys. Feather feet and light touch. Takes stamina and power to copy Doug!
I think it's cool how you set up only the drums you need to teach particular songs. Pretty cool, never seen anyone do that and it makes a lot of sense
That makes it easier to not hit anything I don't intend to. For live stuff I have a standard setup. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! That's much appreciated.

Wow what's that snare? I'm not sure if it looks better than it sounds or vice versa, wait what?
That’s probably my best sounding snare. Yamaha Copper Nouveau 14x5.5. Thanks for watching!

Could be the brand new Doug Clifford!
