Hi James bought a biota bacteria activator after seeing it on your channel had nitrite after treatment used biota it was gone next day well impressed 👍
To be honest mate I’m not surprised your water quality is excellent with the filtration setup you are running! I bet that lot could support a pond 10 times the size! Bit of a change from the old days with the old pond, where you were tweaking it and making changes every other week!
The Mrs is doing a great job painting. enjoy your videos very informative keep it going please. So if you keep freshwater trickling in the pond the evaporation will be enough so keep it a very small/light trickling
Just ordered one of those bacteria making machines etc. I see your point on bottles bacteria etc. Now I know making it its fresh off the machine. Cheers for the videos of it. It will make a huge difference
Hi Jamie we watch your videos all the time and just wanted to ask you if the company that does the biota bacteria do they ship to Australia. We don’t get a lot of stuff over here for koi as we can’t import koi into Australia. We would love to get some mountain tree stuff and would like to know if they ship to Australia as well. We have looked on their website but it doesn’t say anything. Thanks mate and we do love watching your videos . We have a laugh because you and your wife are like me and my wife mate .
Great to see you Jamie and Mrs Whisperer at the Nationals. “Thank your mother for the rabbits” - glad I made the trip up (albeit right at the end of day 2”. Did you end up taking that Dainichi Kohakhu from South West Koi?
Serious question James. Have you a microscope powerful enough to see the nitrifying bacteria? Nitrosomina and nitrobacter. *Edit nitrosomona think that he to spell it.
I thought you took a break because you were putting out too many videos and your mental health was suffering.. seems to me that your putting out a video every day. Hopefully you won't burn yourself self out chap...
Must admit James i like the idea of the home made bacteria, the first time you said about it, it reminds me of making fresh yoghurt and that is a bacterial culture, it does sound better than some of the liquids in bottles 🤔. Gwen 🧓
2:26 i agree!
