      @@Justliketree27Studio you’ll be worried about them constantly and they’ll either be worried about you to or they’ll feel lonely and they’ll cheat, it happens way too often, you may end up feeling sick because you’re in the military doing dangerous shit and your loved one doesn’t give af and cheats is the worst feeling you’ll ever feel, they might also steal your money and use you, live stress free and only worry about yourself in the military cuz having that weight of someone ur dating can put so much stress, if you are certain that person is your soulmate it’s cool but other than that, worry about yourself

    They got me with the two extra years, my 6 year contract is now an 8, he phrased it as the 18 months of extra training for my nuclear school. I didn’t realize what it was initially. I ship out July.

      @@LosHitman marines denied me for tattoos. Navy obviously said yes and army wanted to get a waiver. Marines are easiest to enlist for asvab, not everything though.

    Lot's of people join the military looking for a challenge, not taking it easy. You're right about hotels and chow halls though. AF is cool, best looking women for sure. I'm gonna speak up for my Marine Corp though... Did it suck? Yeah, is the chow good? No... But, let's continue being honest, when you tell people you're a Marine it carries a little more respect than telling people you're an airman. Just being honest bro. But AF is really the best Branch as far as standard if living without a doubt.

    My son in law tells the story of a kid that started playing with army men at 4. ROTC at 15. Joined at 18. Hopped from a personnel helicopter onto a mine in his very first battle. Blew both legs off. Said he prepared his whole life for the invisible glory thing snd his feet blown out from under him. Drank himself to death. Got zero from the VA. Wanted him to live in their basement

    If you want to make sure you change money when they get back, open an account with your name on it. Too many guys deployed, came home, only to find all the money in the account was gone.
    If it’s your own account, other people can’t spend it.

    Coast guard is actually pretty badass. I live near a pretty active port with a coast guard base and a lot of ocean related tourism. While they may not be dodging bullets often or anything like that they actually see some serious action out on those waters and save lives here every single year. Especially when tourist season is here

    The USCG are beasts in their own right. Can’t hate the underdogs. Highest retention rate out of the entire military, that speaks for itself. From counter piracy and environmental protection to search and rescue, the USCG has my respect.

    DEFINTELY STAY single. Everyone on my flight during basic got cheated on. Didn't matter if it was a girlfriend or a wife. They WILL cheat. I didn't buy a camaro. I bought an impala ss and blew the transmission in 6 months 🙃

      I’ve dealt with everything from mortar strikes to literally being protested while we were working in different countries. Also people’s negative opinions on the military back at home doesn’t help. But it’s all a part of it and it definitely builds character.

      Im about the ship to Army basic next month. My outlook on the danger of the military is just looking at the regular world. Banks, Schools, Warehouses and Public spaces aren't safe. You can be shot, stabbed or ran over at any time as a civilian. If the only thing stopping you from joining is the danger then you shouldn't do anything in life. Life is short. You probably won't die naturally. So fuck it live your life and whenever death comes knocking answer that door.

      I would only recommend it when you're young and have an older family member who's smart with money and you can trust them completely. My Grandpa suggested that I open an account with him before I enlisted so I could put some money aside each paycheck and have to legitimately consult with him to use it. I decided not to and when I got out over 6 years later I had no money saved up. Things worked out either way, but the process of going from militaryback to civilian would have been a bit easier if I would've had a little money prepared for it.

    The only thing that scares me about joining the Marines is a no drug tolerance, Ik I can do the BCT easily cause I have higher endurance

      Well you just have to decide.. drugs or an experience that will hopefully change you for the better and leave you with many benefits if you choose to get out.

    Step 7 join marine core and abuse your loved ones step seven eat crayons and finally the last step, step 7 join the marines , and for the first step 7, develop ptsd and step 7-7 marine core is the smartest branch

      @@randomlyposter1974 bro one thing that you’ll learn about recruiters is that they’re usually full of shit. Get in shape, look up what subjects are in the asvab and study. That’s all you need, be resilient and embrace being uncomfortable. You got this.
