And I recall going to the cinema to see it with my parents, as a lad,..the theatre was packed,…and, contrary to the popular narrative on the picture,..it did not appall or confuse people particularly. No one walked out. I neither saw nor heard any expressions of dismay or aversion. None !
My dad was put off by all the 'whisperin' but otherwise it and Buckaroo Bonzai prepared me for the cinematography of corridors--back in cable-enabled 1984.
