I really enjoy DK Enerhetyk's song actually :D And I feel like mostly slavic people can vibe to it more than the rest of the world because of historical times of 70-80's. Also I noticed that post punk is getting more and more famous in ukrainian music industry (underground mostly obviously) so for sure a lot of people are very excited with their participation :)
My top :) 1. Jerry Heil, Add Volume to your makeup 2. Krylata: Stay True 3. Masha: No Time to Cry 4. Abie Дім 5. FÏINKA Культура 6. Molodi My Sea 7. Khayat: Honor 8. Vlad Sheriff: Wind of Change 9. Future Culture: Waste My Time 19. Ziferblat: Bird of Pray 11. dk enerhytk: Сіль
I like 7 songs evenly, it's impossible for me to pick a winner. I think my pick would be Birds of Prey but I would be happy with Dim, Honor, No time to cry or My sea
DK Energetik's stage won't be mind-blowing or anything like that. It is more for Ukrainians and atmosphere rather than Eurovision, and all of us are aware of it. They are a really popular group in Ukraine. Currently, the Vidbir stage is the only stage in Ukraine to promote artists and their music. I would say the genre is not for everyone. They became even more popular because of the game Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which is a game by Ukrainian developers, and their music was like a staple of the game! I hope this helps!
I totally agree! I did get gaming vibes from them and this style does look like something that would only be here for Ukraine, not for Eurovision, which is totally fine! It's always nice to have variety.
My Favourites are "Kultura" (been a Fan of Fiyinka since "Dovbush" through, so no Surprises here) and "Dim" (I have a Thing for Drymbas. Also no Surprise). About what you said: "Dim" actually means "Home" In Ukrainian and the Song is about the Singer's Experiences in previously occupied Areas. The Thing is, musically, Khayat would have be my Winner, but there are some odd English Lyrics in his Song that just stick out to be like a sore thumb. It's not as terrible as "And yes, you were wrong, you'll turn into Backpack" from Ranrawi, but still enough to get me thrown out of the Experience.
Many people liked Sam Ryder's song and it took 2nd place in the competition, but Vlad Sherif is rated low by everyone, although these songs are written in the same style. Why?
I don't think it's the song itself that made Sam Ryder triumph but rather other aspects such as staging and stage presence, not sure but I don't feel like the songs have too much in common
@MrPoll-ESC Yeah, Sam's staging was great. Maybe if Vlad does something similar he'll have a better chance of winning Vidbir. Let's wait until February 8th.

So true! I don't dislike the song at all, it's such a vibe and it's nice to have something this different compared to the rest of the entries!
