I think it was not a bad play considering the possibility of drawing The Jailer from Coil or naturally, making the combo be incredibly slow so Touch was better than Coil, especially since he had Dark Portal in hand.

Kinda interesting that hero immunity animation goes counter-clockwise, but minion immunity goes clockwise.
So the jailer and the dread lords really worked together to make locks the best class in the game, ez lore confirmed
Bolf ramshield makes this combo work for every class for cheaper
They can be hard removed, like sw ruin, the 8 and 9 mana aoe silence removal, brawl, deadly shot, freeze+shatter, etc etc. Plus you can just die before this.
Group polymorphs thankfully still work as do whole board clears. OI.
As with cubelock meta... Resurrect priest will crush it with indirect removals.
But ngl, i don't actually remember if "destroy enemy minion" deathrattle will work on immune enemies?
@@melodygritsipis2735 sort of, considering warlock has better creature tutors (in particular the dark portal here) than most classes save maybe priest adding in the cost reduction and even redundancy with Raise Dead (which priest also has access to) it goes to in the combo turns (specifying combo turns here as no matter which class save for druid with guff) can play these in sequence at this early a stage, even doing something like Drakkari + Thaurisan (which still only makes it a 12 mana play which technically shaman and druid can do but you would need either 2 Lightning Bloom in hand to do it quicker or be on turn 10 with 1 Lightning Bloom). Compaired to Warlock here that can tutor for both pieces easily, has a significantly better package for dealing with wide boards (though priest does do better with taller boards) along with the discount in the case you end up tutoring both pieces making them a 9 mana play together letting you do it all on the same turn. No other class can really do this for cheaper unless you are using Jepetto Joybuzz specifically which while still possible is a bit harder to tutor than the other two plus making him a semi-dead draw if you draw one of the pieces of the combo. Not to mention with Warlock you have the Malchezars Imp + Time Tampering which can just make this a 2 mana play and literally no other deck can do that. Bolf does make it possible with other classes but not cheaper consistently, mana wise on its own yes technically but you have 28 other cards in the deck to play with so you are going to use some number of card draw or tutors to get the pieces and might as well just take it for warlock.

@@guidomista5 they can't. It's gonna be mass removal, twisting nether, plague of death, brawl etc.
jailer works best with some kind of minion reload, its effect is rest of game not an aura. so getting rid of the jailer doesn't stop the effect
@EHEñor Okita El Cuarto Patriarca you can play time tempering with malch imp. This simple combo itself makes the “full immunity” thing somewhat viable. Still slow but viable

Does twisting nether kills immune minions in general? I cant see any counterplay to this. Only mechatun or exodia paladin can win against this.
Tons of outs honestly, vanish being a really solid one, mass polymorph, twisting nether, ect. Immune just prevents them from being targeted, or taking damage, everything else is fair game, so anything random, like a deathrattle that randomly kills an enemy minion, works here, board clears work, things like psychic scream work, there's plenty of ways around this, and considering how much Mana is needed for this combo, and how you can still stall the opponent out, it's not as good as it seems

no, they are "set condition" and ignore everything so priest questline, mecha-thun and death knight paladin horsemen would all still win the game

Transform spells can work too like plague of murlocs.
But not every class has access to such removal spells, and the classes that do may not draw them in time👀

The aura Jailer gives is permanent, but there are many ways to silence malganis or get him of the board with non target AOE cards like twisting nether or starfish etc.
If only he had the 1 mana silence all minions that all priests have by default in their starting hand, if only.

@@zdugo I think it silences Malganis's effecr making your hero immune, it just cant remove lingering effects like the Jailer's, so minions stay immune, hero wont

@@zdugo anything works against immune, so long as it doesnt directly target, and doesnt deal direct damage. A deal 10 damage to everything spell wouldnt affect immune, and a targeted silence spell wouldnt either. Naruu doesnt target, and doesnt deal damage, and would affect it.
@@zdugo I think someone said silence doesn't work against the jailer since it's an ongoing effect(but just to make it clear, you do remove his immunity since silences works vs immune minions if it's not targeted,but he will get it back infinitely because it's an ongoing effect), will still affect Mal'ganis though and he had lethal on board.
would vanish be able to bypass this too? At least for one turn before Mal is back? I'm saying one turn because Jailer's effect is a perma aura so Mal could just come back immune. Seems pretty balanced since most classes would have ways around this like polys, mass removal and ice trap. Seems like a good finisher win condition in wild, maybe possible OTK combos are possible too, like Jailer + Mecha C'thun. Even killing Mechathun before Jailer and then re procing with the new Nathanos card for hunters. Goofy deck ideas are what keeps this game alive for me, and im glad cards like this come out to shake things up. I feel like this will be an under rated meta card for some plays.
yes vanish would work. any spells that dont target but destroy minions would work. shadow word ruin, twisting nether, etc.

Cards that disrupt this: Shadow word Ruin, Whirlpool, Psychic Scream, Twisting Nether, and honorable mention to Vanish. Just to name a few, I'm sure there are others, I don't play much anymore.
The Reno Hero card too, makes everything go poof! minions would still be immune but hero wouldn't.
Need Jailer, Malganis and Cloack o protection (immune to spel and cant be target).
Then only aoe removal without damage.
What would a paladin have to do.

Typically but not in this scenario because the immunity is created by a "for the rest of the game" effect. Although you can not target immune minions with any type of action anyways.
You can't silence the immune effect of jailer, but you can silence Malganys's effect that make the hero immune

Current Reno Priest lists in Legend are main decking Shadow Word: Ruin to deal with early threats like the ones Edwin Rogue can spew out on turn 4 so you don't even have to discover it.

Before anyone says it: Yes AOE Silence works I had a plague of death kill an immuned monkey in the solo adventure so unless that's a bug AOE silence should work.

Lock is also the only class so stupidly broken that in wild it can simply make its combo reliably cost 1 mana a card, without health loss unlike trying to jepetto them or anything of that nature.
