  • This attachment easily attaches to the end of your siding nailer. I enjoy this because I can use it for hidden nailing and face nailing. We install LP SmartSide and this attachment makes the job that much faster and takes out any guesswork.

I quit using nails in siding about 10 years ago too. Takes longer but screws are just superior for a lasting hold. Cabinet screws work great. Has a flat enough head for laps and has enough of a smooth shank to let vinyl move too.

Looks awesome! What’s the nail/gun combo you use? I’ve purchased three guns in the past week with varying nails (all recommended from Lowe’s, Home Depot, and a Hardie dealer), and none worked. All were coil guns, and the first nails bent.
A Hardie dealer here in KY sold me some ring shanks with a very wide head (looked more like roofing nails to me), and the gun I bought wouldn’t shoot them. So I bought a roofing coil gun tonight and it wouldn’t fully penetrate - even on the deepest setting. Needless to say, I’m at the end of my rope. 🤣
Would love it if you could give me the model of your Bostich and the nail specs (although I don’t need that length for my application (vented soffit paneling). Thanks!
