My daughter teaches outside of Houston too. If it was not for the generous donations from students parents, the school programs would had been shut down by the school district. (implementing cuts) I don't have a preference either way on vouchers at this time. I see why parents want to ensure that their tax dollars are effectively used. I wonder what the best method is to encourage the parents and students to actively learn and support their public schools.
What is fully funded? Is that a moving goal? She does focus on the money. Give me more money too. Lots of emotions. What I hear is that teachers are burned out by the school district administration but also hear about the stress from hostile parents. Maybe, if we focused on how to get the parents and students to support public schools and push their students to do better.
