Only one reason Canada is dying Federal taxes Regardless if there regulations or fees they are taxes and Canada like California is taxing itself to economic extinction
I live in a very modest, typical small city in Canada. Things I never seen just ten years ago... - panhandlers - tent cities - $300-400,000 "starter homes" -massive influx of non English speaking immigration - traffic congestion I used to only see in major cities. - blatant crime - open substance abuse - urban decay The rot and toxicity of the major cities like Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver etc has spread to almost every community across Canada.
I agree Trudeau is a disaster, but he's as much a symptom as a cause. If my fellow Canadians weren't such over-feminized pinheads, they wouldn't vote for or tolerate such idiots.
As a Canadian in my 40s i can say this country has gone to crap very quickly , way too many immigrants clogging up the system , over priced houses , not enough good jobs , high taxes, overprices food at restaurants, medical system is collapsing, and yes the weather sucks in most of the country... Was in the US recently and food way way better and cheaper same with houses are way cheaper ...People seemed generally nicer then Canadians as well...
@unchainedsilver9702 yep, Canadians are miserable due to everything you mentioned. It's a dump! If I make a "pros, and cons" list, the "cons" will far outweigh the "pros". 🤦♂️

There is a manufacturer three buildings down from where I used to work. They are an aftermarket performance auto parts maker. All of their production workers are from south of the boarder. Company meetings are in Spanish.
I live in WA right across from BC Canada. We see literal hordes of Chinese and East Indian Canadians coming to our Costco daily in Bellingham Washington. And when I go across the border to Canada, I literally feel like I'm in a far east country. 30 years ago was much different in Canada.
We left Vancouver and moved to Saskatchewan…yay! Everyone here is Canadian, English spoken and a sea of white people. We bought a beautiful condo for $140,000….its quiet, clean. We’re Canadian, the snow is just fine!!😊
I am a former Canadian with a STEM degree who had a job in Toronto working for a large multinational corporation. In the mid 1980s, I was in my mid twenties looking for a house to buy. Homes could be had for around $100k. A really beautiful home on a large corner lot, with pool (off Royal Oak and a street I forget, just north of Bloor, south of a little park, was offered for $159k asking price. My company sent me to work in the USA for three years. When I returned, that $100k home was $300k. My salary had not tripled. I found a job in the USA and moved south, never to return. I don’t regret my decision.
Smartest move you ever made. Then again if you had bought, even at 300k. That same house is now worth around $2 million. Timing was everything in T.O. in the 80's real estate game.
@Eddievonnosy. 🙂. Yeah … I have had multiple “could’a, should’a” moments in my life. I passed up on things I now regret (like Bitcoin at a penny), but overall made more good decisions than bad, so I don’t regret too much.
I went to Toronto a few months back, and I thought I was in Asia somewhere. It was ok I suppose to be there a few days, but I couldn't imagine living there.
@@christopherharrell3241 The suburb of Brampton, Ontario is over 80% Indian. There are a few cities like that in B.C. Trying to take advantage of a shortcut in immigration. Their visas have all expired as of Dec. 1st. We're all wondering now if our weak government, lead by our cowardly, identity politics, ret( )rded leader will deport them. Betting odds favour no. ☹️
Congrats! I moved to Asia some 25 years ago. I feel safe walking out alone at night. I see mostly healthy, educated, and family-oriented people . I still make a good Western income but my living expenses are much less. Stigma is attached to gambling and drug use, so it’s generally a nonissue I travel overseas often on my holidays, eat out in nice restaurants, and yet still save the majority of of my income. I also cry for Canada.

Replace "Canada" with "Sweden" and everything in the video is still 100% accurate. The sky-high taxes completely decentifies one's drive to really excel in running your own business, developing new skills at work, walking the extra mile etc. Stay away from Canada and equally Sweden.
100% agree that Sweden have those problems... What I still like about Sweden though is the free school system which is great compared to other places. The biggest problem in Sweden compared to other countries is that swedes(most) aren't acknowledging that they have a problem so there's no need for changes...
The melting pot concept was an amazing formula for getting people on the same team. Now we have different interests and agendas. It's like herding cats ... good luck. Americans used to pull together .. Now everyone is in their own tribe. Lyndon b Johnson followed Canada with the dumb multiculturalism bit. Now we have division and you can find yourself in a part of town where all the signs are in a different language .. and English is nowhere to be seen. What a mess.
Brampton Ontario, might as well be India. Our culture has been overwhelmed by liberal policies and we aren’t a nation anymore. A hostile take over has happened.
Stopped at a gas station to get a lotto ticket in Brampton. Cashier had this look like “What are you doing here?” Now East Indians are the least threatening people in the world even if they were armed but still it was uncomfortable.
Plus changing our $10 bill from the Father of our country, John A. McDonald to human rights activist, Viola Desmond and making the bill vertical. Trudeau Junior also removed Canada's history, including Terry Fox from our Canadian passport. Now, Viola Desmond could've been added to our passport.. The most anti-Canadian prime minister is ultimately the WORST-EVER. A totalitarian and a dictator.
In Quebec, we have almost no Indians. They don't speak French. Instead, we got Haitians, French Africans, and French Middle Easterners (Algerians, Tunisians, etc.). It's probably worse, honestly.
My parents and some of their friends left authoritarian Communist Yugoslavia for Canada in the 60s and 70s. Now many of their children are leaving Canada for the same reason. I personally know about 10 people who have permanently left Canada.
I happily left Canada 27 years ago. As a white male, I found myself at a serious disadvantage in Canada's multicultural and DEI dystopian society. Job adverts basically implied that white men need not apply. I've had a great life and career overseas. I would never move back.
I got news for y'all Canada is gone and has been for about 10 years. What's left is unclear, but it's not Canada. Maybe we could call it New Canada Delhi or something, but whatever it was, is long gone.
Great rundown on the downfall of Canada. Taxed to death, housing crisis, immigration through the roof, liberal/progressive policies, cost of living is terrible. Hope things can turn around with a conservative leadership 🤞. Drastic changes need to happen.
I left Canada back in 2016. I saw the beginning of Canada's downfall in the early 2000 when the manufacturing industry that I was a part of was taxed and regulated into extinction. After roughly around 2010 I saw American retail giant "TARGET" spent $millions to bring their stores across Canada and ended up leaving as they felt it was no longer profitable to bring their business into Canada. I can go on with many other examples of businesses and industries leaving Canada. I decided to leave because I realized that the decay of Canada was not solely because of the government but the mentality of the Canadian people. Canadian's overwhelmingly expect their government to take care of everything in their lives so they don't need to take responsibility in doing it themselves. There are other factors as well but you kind of know how Canadians are like just by the way the Liberal and NDP continually get elected more often than any other party. I understand that Pierre Poilievre will become the next Prime Minister of Canada. Poilievre will do his best to fix Canada but there is a long time of pain involved in fixing something before it gets better. Unfortunately I know Canadian too well and they don't want to go through the pain to get better. I know full well that the Canadian people will only stomach Poilievre for so long until (just like drug addicts feeling the pain of not getting their next fix in time) they can't live without all the free handouts from the Liberal/NDP. What I'm trying to say is the prosperous Canada we once knew is gone forever and their are better countries out there.
My gf is from Canada and family still there. The health care is terrible in Canada. Over a year for a hip replacement. A retired doctor with heart failure can not get a specialist. A kid needed an oncologist and died waiting to get in

I left 3 years ago and never looked back. Friends that stayed behind tell me it's going from bad to worse and has reached the point of unbearable. Truth. I’m 40 born and raised in Toronto. The city was awesome 20+ years ago. It has decline sharply in every way. Culturally, safety, aesthetically, cost.
7:16 In the 1970s, the vision for Canada was divided between the Liberals arguing for 'multi-culturalism' and the Conservatives saying that Canada should be a 'melting pot'. Since Canada was prosperous and left-leaning, multi-culturalism became the norm and we are now seeing the stress cracks.
Canada remaining as a Generally White Anglo (Franco) European (and First Nations) already multicultural Nation was also an option. Anyway I think that the multicultural aspect of Canada is ok , it's more of the social discourse created by the government went off track and now everything is upside down as to how society was organically formed back then , so many people don't like the change , but there seem to be many who like the progress and I expect more will continue to vote for Liberal/NDP government because that's what Canadian People want nowadays.
Here's how Canada has fallen so far: government employees and welfare recipients combined are 40million people. Who do you think they are going to vote for...the hand that feeds them. Canadian wages have stayed the same since 2016. West Virginia wages in San Francisco pricing. In just 2009, Canadians had a higher GDP per person at $52k than the US at $50k. They've doubled their debt in the last 4 years. The recent GDP came in at negative .4% when it was predicted to be +1.5%. They need to vote Pierre in to clean up the mess that Canadian Castro created
I left Alberta after working there for 20 years, 15 years ago. I returned to Cape Town South Africa with a bit of regret. No more. The weather is great, its half the price for most things. property off the beach is relatively cheap. Maid and gardeners are cheap. Surprised how Canada has deteriorated. There is crime but for the most part it's targeted.
Correction, we're not a country of immigrants. The people who first came here didn't have any help and had to fend for themselves. Most lived in poverty for generations to build the country from nothing, as well as fought and died in wars for it. The ones coming in today have a system that aids them. And don't argue about the natives, which I am part native myself. All countries have the same history if one wants to make that argument. Healthcare is not free. This explains the high taxes. About 55% of taxes go towards healthcare. They have free healthcare in the USA called Medicare and Medicaid btw for low income and retirees.
Just so you know, Medicare is not free. Basic Medicare (Part A), which is hospitalization, is not charged, but Medicare Part B is charged (I am a 66 y.o. male who pays $171/month for Medicare Part B). Keep in mind that 3% of your pay was contributed to Medicare your entire working life (split between you and your employer). I get supplemental insurance for the Medicare gap, called Medicare Part G, that is private. I buy a high deductible plan ($6900/year deductible) for $177/month that covers basic care without copay. Then I buy a drug plan. I found a drug plan that covers my cholesterol, prostate and heart meds without copay for about $120/year. Dental and eyecare insurance are also extra. You need to review your private choices annually because things change. So I pay about $360/month for health insurance (not including dental and eye care). However, I just had open heart surgery, and my copay for that has been $0. I was diagnosed September 17, and had my surgery October 4, at one of the top surgical hospitals in the USA, by one of the top heart surgeons. Overall, though it isn’t free, I am satisfied with my coverage. If you are low income, there is assistance in paying your premiums.
If Canada is not a country of immigrants where did everyone come from? Everyone I speak to claims they are Scottish, Irish, English, German, Icelandic, French, etc. They were ALL born here and I wouldn't notice any different as they sound just as Canadian as the next person, but they all claim to be from somewhere else.

I don’t want Canada as a whole to become the 51st state. The reason is at large votes will be Democrat. Canada would have about 50 electoral votes. Best is for the US to take Conservative provinces. Alberta and Saskatchewan would be assets to the U.S. as well as parts of the rest of Canada. The rest of Canada is dead weight. Canada is capable of outperforming even the US but poor leadership is what’s destroying it. Trudeau didn’t elect himself.
Yeah the problem is that the US has its own big problems... I am totally disappointed in Canada, but remember that the grass always seems greener on the other side of the fence...
The severity of the housing problem has led politicians to focus their attention to the single issue that they forgot that even if they’re capable of building the houses, they have to also build the accompanying infrastructure, namely, hospitals, and schools and highways… I live in Vancouver and it has become a mess because they build skyscrapers without considering their affect on the cities infrastructure. It’s become a nightmare to drive into the city.

I’m of the same opinion about Canada. We moved from Sweden in 76’ and lived in Florida for ten years, and at that time I was 18, and my parents moved us to Canada for better health coverage as my dad had surgery in Florida, was fired from his job and they thought Canada would offer more. I didn’t agree. Today, Canadas managers including the trudeau liberals have ruined the economic state of this country. People here are depressed, they’re drained financially and have lost total hope. So, I ask myself, is there not other countries where your money goes much further ? A place where you don’t feel the anxiety and pressure of Canada ? And I have discovered that there are many countries where you can live with much more harmony and where your savings will last to the end of your life.
I went to work in China and later in other Central Asian countries some 25+ years ago. People were poor but healthy, hard working, family oriented, ambitious, and educated. I can’t remember the specific circumstances / calculation to get to that figure but I’ve heard it three or four times now by people in the know. I believe the only advantage the U.K. has over Canada at present is, they haven’t introduced an exit tax… yet. Mercifully, I escaped three years ago and hopefully in six months I will have finally managed to fully extricate myself from the U.K. tax system and will have true freedom!

The biggest problem with Canada is that the overwhelming majority of the people have a mindset where they want the Government to take care of them from cradle to the grave. That's why Canada is in the mess that it's in with such high taxes and an incredibly oversized and overreaching Government.
I recently visited family in the national capital (Ottawa), and was shocked at how much that city had grown since my last visit before the COVID-19 pandemic. Just for the land ! In the 2000s you could go all in house and land for 300 t0 400 g . Not amymore . Even the cheap mountain areas of bc are going up in price due to Albertans and Americans coming in and buying everything up. I just need 1 to 3 acres and a log cabin . Why should I have to pay 1 to 3 million to get that?!
Canada can be saved but ONLY if we have a strong conservative majority government for the next 8 years. If not, the damage will be irreversible. We need a shift way to the right.
We need more than 8 years, AND unfortunately it's impossible for any government to rule in a conservative manner in Canada. The best we've had was Stephen Harper, but to stay in office he was forced to acquiesce to many leftist agendas. We're doomed.
If you want to see Canada flags flown in abundance and the country's history proudly on display, go to Quebec City (ironically). A trip from Toronto to Quebec City feels like you're visiting Canada. Yeah, weird.
What is interesting is that if you take the reasons listed, you can apply them to California, Australia and Sydney and they all line up with virtually the exact same problems. So multiple distinct countries (and one USA state) in disparate geographical locations with differing cultures literally all coalesce around the same problems due to the same types of policies. It's a good window into how to gauge the efficacy of policies. It's similar to communism: it failed in basically the exact same way in every place it was enacted. Regardless of geography, culture, weather, etc.
Born and raised in Canada myself, and the kind of bullshit way Canada is going,...I'm thinking of relocating else where. .......if only I had more money.

Canada has been, and is relying on the U.S. to keep them safe. Which no doubt the U.S. would do. However, not for nothing like they have been. (Which is completely understandable). Another thing is Canadians ability to own firearms (Or even be proud to be Canadian) gets more restricted every year. Trudeau just introduced a new list of ‘Banned’ firearms that are now illegal. They are to be turned in to Law Enforcement and the plan is to send them to Ukraine. What in the hell? I see why many Canadians who live in the Central/Western provinces (Completely different culture than in the Eastern populations of Toronto/Ontario, Montreal, Quebec etc). Oh, and the whole kissing the British Royals asses and thinking you’re so ‘Euro’ because of the relatively small French influence(The Scottish built Canada) ; Your cheque selves live 1.5hrs from Buffalo for gods sake. Governor Trudeau needs to get GONE.
Healthcare in the U.S. is expensive, but it is everywhere. There's a county seat town east of me with about 10,000 people. Within that one town is a large hospital, at least three "urgent care" clinics with doctors, X-ray and blood test facilities, and two cancer treatment centers, two dialysis centers, and numerous orthopedic and other specialty centers. It's about a square mile of medical centers and housing for healthcare workers. The cost with an income typical of the area is $350 a month for government-subsidized insurance and a $9,000 out of pocket maximum per year; or if you want to pay $1,300 a month for zero out of pocket; and insurance in between those extremes. Once you age into Medicare at 65, you can buy insurance for $400 a month ($185 Medicare Premium plus $200 supplemental) that gives you 100% coverage except a $240 out of pocket deductible per year. They pay for healthcare workers is multiples of what it is in Canada. When I used to fly back to the USA from Toronto, the plane was packed with young Canadian nurses moving to the USA. In the border cities they drive into the USA to work on weekends, making more money on a Saturday in the U.S. than they can all week in Canada. Different systems, with different pros and cons, but ours seems more dynamic because it is fueled by money.
The Canadian health system is fueled by hypocrites and lies. It's the beautiful "universal" system that will never be able to take care of everyone. I'm just a number here, just like many others for the government statistics.
People sadly equate voting to democracy but in actual fact, people are presented with oligarch’s preselected candidates for people to choose to give people an illusion that their votes count or matter.
I saw muslim immigrants outside of the store with a sign saying that they need money for food and they have 5 kids to feed here in BC. They pulled off that scam for a while, now i dont see them. They probably have gone off to better pickings.
I have never been to India, but I have worked with many super smart and hardworking Persians in Central Asia, who were applying for Canadian residency. They seemed to know everything about using the Canadian system to their advantage. Good on them!
Same thing is happening everywhere. Where I grew up in MT, here in CO, and on and on. Seems to be a formula at play here. Look who's behind the scenes 😊

I remember that-Neil Bissoondath-"The Myth of Multiculturalism"
Canada remaining as a Generally White Anglo (Franco) European (and First Nations) already multicultural Nation was also an option.
Anyway I think that the multicultural aspect of Canada is ok , it's more of the social discourse created by the government went off track and now everything is upside down as to how society was organically formed back then , so many people don't like the change , but there seem to be many who like the progress and I expect more will continue to vote for Liberal/NDP government because that's what Canadian People want nowadays.

Harper and Poliviere (2009-15 housing minister) left a mess too. It started in 1980-ish.
I had an ear infection that led to hearing loss for months. I was booked an appointment 7 months out. I cancelled and will sort things out myself

Amazing. I’ve lived in three different Asian countries, and I can get same day high quality treatment for a fraction of the price.
Immigrants have all the power in Canada in 2024. Traditional integrating Immigrants don’t exist anymore like in the 50’s and 60’s.
I went to work in China and later in other Central Asian countries some 25+ years ago. People were poor but healthy, hard working, family oriented, ambitious, and educated. I thought their time will shine soon, but how will that impact a country like Canada who is rich but lazily sleeping. And, unfortunately, what has unfolded is outstandingingly beyond my imagination.
The average Canadian makes what $50,000-$60,000? Couple that with a high cost of living / taxes...the government has lost its mind....first world country....yea ok..
It depends on what you are measuring. For 2022 the total individual income of 25-54 year olds averaged 68000, median was 55300. That's across all of Canada.
Stats Canada have it broken down by province, age group, and sex available easily.

People sometimes don't realize that this madness is a Western issue. Western Europe, especially the north are 3 steps ahead of north America in its decline. Balkans is still ok but changing. Worst case scenario with pensions now after they’ve been brought under the scope for IHT, if you add up all the tax you could end up paying 91% … yup, 91%!

Canada has been on this path for decades...the foundational demographics and political landscape has been flawed from day 1. Strong socialism in the east, holding the democratic power, strong socialism in the far west...like bookends holding back the normal conservative economies and population that is AB and SK. If Canada could rid itself of everything Ontario eastward...it would be a flourishing country. Wish people would see this more. And unfortunately in the west we have MANY eastern canada transplants coming in search of a better future...and yet they still vote socialist!! They are delinquents!

Don't simply retire from something; have something to retire to. Start saving, keep saving, and stick to investments. Everyone should have BTC in their portfolio.
It’s really heartbreaking to see how inflation and recession impact low-income families. The cost of living keeps rising, and many struggle just to meet basic needs, let alone save or invest. It’s a reminder of the importance of finding ways to create financial opportunities. You've helped me a lot sir Brian! Imagine i invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days

I know that some Canadians living near the CanAm border retain a P.O. Box in the U.S. so they can purchase medical insurance policies and circumvent the wait times in Canada in case their condition is time critical and have to go South for treatment or surgery.

The other problem with our healthcare is there are not enough family doctors, and some communities have no walk-in clinics open after 5:00 PM so the emergency room ends up being the default go-to for everything.

There are a multitude of countries I would rather be staying in other that this dumpster fire of a nation.
The biggest problem with Canada is that the overwhelming majority of the people have a mindset where they want the Government to take care of them from cradle to the grave. That's why Canada is in the mess that it's in with such high taxes and an incredibly oversized and overreaching Government.
SHIP THEM BACK
I recently visited family in the national capital (Ottawa), and was shocked at how much that city had grown since my last visit before the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of my relatives are barely getting by financially, but came from several previous generations of Canadians. Unfortunately, the liberals in the government only seem to care about the new immigrants at the expense of Canadian citizens. It makes me sad that things have changed so much and not for the better. The only way for Canada to begin recovering is for Canadian citizens to vote Trudeau and other "progressive" politicians out of the government in the next election.
I agree 100% with what you said . Im born and raised in British Columbia , im in my early 30s . And can no where near afford to buy a house / trailer or piece of land .. back in the 90s and early 2000s . You could buy an 1 to 10 acres for 50 to 8o grand . Now adays that would cost 250 .
Blaming Albertans? Lol. BCers come to Alberta and drive our housing costs and rent up.

i think you can make a multiple series of, ‘Another 8 reasons why Canada is Dying.’
Canada can be saved but ONLY if we have a strong conservative majority government for the next 8 years. If not, the damage will be irreversible. We need a shift way to the right.
LOL, imagine thinking you're going to "save" anything with rigged "democracy" and voting. Wake up.
We need more than 8 years, AND unfortunately it's impossible for any government to rule in a conservative manner in Canada. The best we've had was Stephen Harper, but to stay in office he was forced to acquiesce to many leftist agendas. We're doomed.
We need Canada First, patriotic conservative leadership. Nationalism and national pride is so needed.
If you want to see Canada flags flown in abundance and the country's history proudly on display, go to Quebec City (ironically). A trip from Toronto to Quebec City feels like you're visiting Canada.
Yeah, weird.
@@kaiserhead. You are telling us that Canadian nationalism is on the rise…. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦😱

The Canadian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) is incredibly small, incredibly old (Particularly their F-18 fleet, which are all from the 1980’s, Airframes that are past their service life and barely at a 50% readiness rate). The Canadian Navy is nearly nonexistent and also aging out. Canada is Non-Nuclear, They do not have any modern SAM’s, etc.
The CAF are well funded, but nobody seems to know where that money is going; who knows?
Canada has been, and is relying on the U.S. to keep them safe. Which no doubt the U.S. would do.
However, not for nothing like they have been. (Which is completely understandable).
Another thing is Canadians ability to own firearms (Or even be proud to be Canadian) gets more restricted every year.
Trudeau just introduced a new list of ‘Banned’ firearms that are now illegal. They are to be turned in to Law Enforcement and the plan is to send them to Ukraine. What in the hell?

You described Canada EXACTLY. And it's only going to get worse
