I work in tourism marketing and it's wonderful to see this. I often take the larger ferrys of the WSDOT system but knowing that they are these smaller ferrys that will service the smaller communities is wonderful to see! This will bring revenue to both ends of the ferry run. As to the gentleman saying that he had not seen the Waterfront since the viaduct came down I was actually working with a team on a system to bring shuttles down to the Waterfront at that time so that people would make it down to support the restaurants and the touristy shops. Unfortunately the pandemic really threw a wrench in that cog and the pilot program for that free shuttle was canceled after two years. But is 2022 and we're moving forward! Great to see!
Calculate every dime that goes into running the public ferry system and if they can’t do it without Subsidies from tax payers that don’t ride the ferry’s shut them down….and open the market for a private business
The only reason we go to Des Moines is to go to Churches Fried Chicken a couple of times a year.

I would definitely spend $10 each way this is a great idea
I just don’t see the point because the light rail is just as fast if not quicker and costs less 🤷♂️

Same thing with roads on land. If you can’t run them without tax payer subsidies shut them down.
