I actually really liked Chiron. I feel he was a little more than just "that dude who's supposed to take out Achilles". I think he was the most reliable of the Black Faction and the wisest. The Black faction was full of odd characters and Chiron always stood out to me as the most mature; and I appreciated that. Also he's an archer who's proficient in hand-to-hand combat, which is pretty awesome. Personally, I find him to be way more cooler than Atalante.
Still waiting on Astolfo Part 2 tho
I thought Chiron was cool too, loved his fighting style and words of wisdom, though I would have liked to see more of him in Centaur form, like for outrunning pursuers or to rush to the aid of his allies more quickly (or to kick Jack the Ripper in the face XD). If people can take all the other weird stuff that happens in this show seriously, I see no reason why a heroic spirit who happens to be a centaur would be too much. Though it does make sense for him to take human form when in public or fighting on terrain where his horse legs would put him at a disadvantage.
finish watching second season and i got to say.. black faction really took it in the chin. toward the end nearly there entire group was devastated that they needed to borrow red hero to finish the anime
I liked him a lot too, the master of heroes, the origin of the sagittarius constellation, the wisest of the group and his NP is really cool.
Did you miss his precognition skill? Its the main reason how Chiron managed to keep up and outmaneuvered Achilles with his God-like speed on his duel-field. A combination of his clairvoyance and Eye of the Mind gave him the ability to have a future sight on battle. And if we describes Chiron's duel against Achilles it was more of like between a battle simulation calculator vs godspeed.
hahahaha
People says that Cardboard-kun vs Karna was the best fight of the anime but Chiron vs Achilles was really great. We don't see many good hand to hand combat fighting scenes lately. Chiron was a beast.
holyordersol I kinda wish Chiron won in that fight but you know plot
TheReacting Gamer Plot? Chiron winning that battle would be the definition of plot.
Sin sama now I maybe wrong but doesn't Achilles need to be in the world for his shield to work. (This is a guy who never got to watch full episodes of the show)
TheReacting Gamer What I mean is Achilles used a Noble Phantasm that allows him to fight Chiron fair and square. And he did beat him with just skill and power, but using that as leverage to turn the battle for Chiron would have been nothing more than plot-armour.
Sin sama no I agree with that I'm just saying that the main character would die if he didn't win
Lets just say being struck by Hydra Vemon while being immortal is very unpleasant and its fate worst than death.
Father Time: Chronos and Kronos. It is easy to confuse the Greek god of time, Chronos (Χρόνος), with Zeus' Titan father, Kronos (Κρόνος). So easy, in fact, that the conflation has been made for over two thousand years. The Greeks conflated them regularly, at least according to Plutarch.
>have a np that can be used each night
>only fire it once
Quality usage here.
And it's weak as shit.
Sin sama why weak tho ? Could have killed achilles but now he lost the fight and dying now he cant have achilles dying as well since he needed achilles to keep his promise to give one of his shield to ashford.
So he just snipe his heels to take away his divinity should he chose to fight his master or ally whatever you call it in future .
GilxSullinger There is no line in the LN or anime that says he could kill Achilles but only aimed for the heel. That's exactly why it is weak because even with a clean hit he wasn't able to kill him.
If he could kill the guy, then he would have done so because that's a much better scenario than keeping him alive for just one little trade. Achilles could have given away his spear and crushed the black faction with his shield and chariot. There's no assurance it would have absolutely been the shield, if not for Atalante.
Sin sama hm.. divinity and headshot or hitting somewhere vital wont kill him ?
Remember his aim was the shield . Winning or losing he wanted the shield from achilles.
And are you telling me with a point of a finger NP he missed achilles who couldnt react in time to avoid it ? Even achilles being name one of fastest if not fastest hero ever ?
Having known achilles he would do anything do avoid getting hit on the heels. Injuring him on the heels will cause him his invulnerbility and loses 70% of his speed.
So if he reacted he would have the shot hit anywhere besides the heart head and heels. He would have recovered fast or endured the pain( which he is good for as well).
So now the fact is he couldnt react in time and chiron shot his heel to take away trump card.
So chiron is dying he need achilles to deliver the shield so he couldnt kill him snd figure the shield is more useful for the grail war.
And btw you're dead wrong.
Its not a little trade off. The shield is op af even more powerful than his spear imo.
"To oppose the shield is to make an enemy of the entire world, and it is powerful enough to easily protect against Anti-Unit, Anti-Army, Anti-Fortress, Anti-Country and Anti-Divine Noble Phantasms. "
The shield is easily more powerful than his spear even if he was summoned as lancer class .
GilxSullinger I don't see Achilles suffering anything more than a concussion from that kind of shot to his head. Remember all Antares Snipe did was fry his boots and made him scream a little. Achilles was still agile as fuck and sprinting around after that in the fight with Atalanta despite the significant reduction on his speed NP.
Also I don't know why you just completely glossed over what I brought up. It didn't have to be the shield, Chiron told Achilles to give away one of his Noble Phantasms. He could have given away just about anything really just to troll around. Like his spear, which couldn't be used by anyone in the black faction and would shit over whatever little glimmer of hope they had for winning.
That's the major problem with your speculation besides being unsupported, and that is Achilles would have been a much greater threat than a blessing to the black faction if he truly wanted to finish them off. So Chiron has no reason to spare him if he could have killed him. The thing is, Achilles wasn't aiming to win. He felt bad for ignoring what was happening with Atalanta and planned to commit a lovers suicide with her. That's why he told Astolfo he didn't need the shield.
Everything else you wrote is missing the point.
I liked Chiron a lot in fact, and a realy would like to see him fighting in his centaur form.
If there's enough budget and time, hope that the Lostbelt arc was animated. You can see Chiron fighting there in centaur form
He was pretty much the sole fighting force for black faction near the end
Neon Ninja The black faction had astolfo, mordred, chiron and the humunculus guy
Throw my boys and Mordred under the bus why don't you. xD
I remember playing age of mythology when I was a child, cried so much when he died XD
Chiron was way more then just to be there to take care of Achiles. Wisdom, guidance, supporting the entire party from the rear like a real Archer. On top of that he had amzing hand to hand combat moments. You may claim that Chiron was there to be the counterpart for Achiles BUT let's take it the other way around. ACHILLES WAS THERE TO MAKE SURE THAT CHIRON WOULDN'T USE HIS NOBLE FANTASME ON THE WEAK SPOT OF THE GARDENS OF BABYLON INSTEAD.
Chiron's death is basically the first school shooting ever written
Just wanna say this, the reason Chiron seems to have been put there to be the counter Achilles and nothing else is because the show only had 25 episode, not enough for a holy grail war with 16 servants, so they had to cut on some pretty important part, example: Character development. Unless you tell me that Chiron had close to no CD in the LN too.
Chiron was pretty much the same in the light novels, had little development. There were more scenes between him and Fiore, mostly to show that Fiore had a crush on him but Chiron never paid attention to that.
He has a NP that aims for weak spots (And the ONLY weak spot on Achilles was his heel). To any other person who isn't busted, you have numerous points to strike, and any place that arrow could pierce and kill is a weak spot (So any place on the head, the heart, lungs, etc.). He could literally snipe down anyone on the other side if he was ever given permission to do so. It's ridiculously stupid that this chick only ever said he could use it at the final fight.
It's not weak in any sense of the word. Weak spots are what legends live off of, and are lethal. Hell Antares is literally the star that's for the scorpion's head. wtf.
I never actually noticed he has a tail and now I can never unsee it.
Some fixes I have to mention to what you stated about the constellations. From what I remember from studying them, Sagittarius is not Chiron, Saggiatrius is not even a centaur contrary to what most people are told. Chiron is represented by the constellation Centaurus. Sagittarius is a satyr that represents Pan, and its very common for them to get mixed up because they're both essentially half beast archers.
It’s a similar situation here as Vlad. Just as Vlad is depicted as Dracula, even though there’s no evidence of him actually being a vampire. Sagittarius is depicted as a centaur, therefore it’s included as part of Chiron’s legend. That’s one possibility. The other could be that the satyr is just one version of the constellation, and the centaur is just the version TYPEMOON went with
"He wasn't one of those characters that stood out."
He had a tail.. and a golden bow😂
Not really a big deal when you hang around a trap, a dracula, a guy with golden mask, and someone in wedding dress
I kinda feel bad for Chiron now since Heracles' story came LONG before Achilles and Troy happened.
I find it quite ironic Haracles, who indirectly killed Chiron, his teacher and a centaur, was indirectly killed by another centaur.
Ok but, anyone else internally scream when the dub calls him Charon?
same
he actually confused him with... Charon, the ferryman of the Underworld🤦♀️
Chiron fights in full centaur mode in FGO and it’s the coolest shit since Iskandar/Achilles stampeding people under their chariotz
Best bro, same with Cú Chulainn. Having those two along with EMIYA & Kiritsugu as my allies would be great.
Just nitpicking but Kronos the titan and Chronos the god of time are different people. Doesn’t change anything else though
+Night Owl Im an idiot XD
Oh ok because i was like wtf, Chiron is the brother of Zeus Poseidon and Hades lol
Cronos(father of Chiron) is titan of scythe(or god of scythe). Chronos is the goddess of time. You may make some mistakes since their names are nearly like each other and their names have the same pronunciation.
So he has wide bank of knowledge and an ultimate of a predator missile?
Sounds pretty damn cool
I mean Chiron was basically the Gilgamesh of Greek Heores in the sense that he trained so many of them not just Herc and Achilles which meant he would've known how to handle atalanta too in fact as a trainer of heroes he would've been a match for any of the heroes since he had centuries of experience and how to train and his archery was probably even better than Atalanta not to mention his dam NP is OP as hell I mean he calls upon his constellation to fire a massive beam of energy to where he needs it .....not only that but he just gave that warm fatherly aura all throughout the series he cared for everyone even Sieg who at the time had no place in the war
Ah yes, the crit servants' best friend
FINALLY it took along time for Chiron
Chiron is actually really powerfull
One of the best archers in the world.
One of the best hand to hand fighters in the world
B str B end and A+ agi makes him have the parameters equivalent of a saber
mind of the mind A plus Clairvoyance B+ makes him see the future and be able to dodge any attack even if there is only 1 percent chance of it ( this is literally in the wiki)
Wisdom of the divine gift makes him able to copy and give ANY skill that doesnt belong to a single servant. So, essentially, he can use ANY skill that doesn't belong to a single hero, with B or A level.
I always wondered why i loved archery.....only cause I'm a sagi, thank you Chiron.....for your wisdom and noble soul....
I respectfully disagree with your conclusion that Chiron is merely there to counter Achilles. While he does fulfill that role he is also a mentor figure for team black. His cool maturity provides a nice balance for the more wild or extreme characters such as Astolpho and later Mordred. If any team has filler servantsit's definitely the red faction. Atalanta is disappointing for such a famous hero, Sparticus is only there to be a minor obstacle, Karna is both boring and overpowered as crap, and need I mention Shakespeare.
Andulin Ardenson Karna was jipped in apocrypha. In ccc he doesn't just stand there and be stoic
The skill is called Divine Gift of Wisdom, I have no idea why the spastics over at the wiki haven't corrected it from Wisdom of Divine Gift yet.
I think Chiron could be a rider since he is a centaur and lancer for giving Achilles a lance
maybe he would be a saber or caster, but that's theoretical in my opinion
Well, the thing for his class is just he *is* the Sagittarius, which weapon do u think after mentioning his name? Surely since he's a teacher so he's like.. master of any weapon but remember it was Apollo *and* Artemis who taught him, two best gods of archery in Olympus, what would u think?
Plz take it as an opinion lol xD
@@thanhvannguyen1770 true, but still, it's possible for the most part right
I don't think they brought Chiron simply to be a character to beat Achilles. They could have easily worked that into many characters by exploiting his mythological weakness. I think he was brought on to add a little more depth to the stories between the spirits. I personally wasn't much of a fan of the black archer, but meh.
*if you are uncultured* damn thats vicious
I love your videos man! it would be great if you also did these videos for fate zero and fate stay night as well! keep up the good work
+Gene Simmons Thanks man. I appreciate that. And thats something Im definitelu considering haha
chiron seem interesting and one my favorite character
can you do caster next
Are you going to do the same type of videos for Fate/Extra? There are some really cool servants in there!
+legomaple Eventually ;)
+AniNews Probs in a month to be exact
AniNews yes please, and later on about Fate Zero servant
Yeeees! I think you do a great job explaining servants so I am already looking forward to it!
If I were to have a servant, it would be King Tut and his Noble Phantasm would be Valley of the Kings, Curse of Anubis, and Ra's journey.
Devonzell Pernell what faction
TheReacting Gamer black.
TheReacting Gamer He would also be a caster.
Devonzell Pernell makes sense
Throwing out Fate OC's are we?
In my opinion the hole Fate fandom in general really overestimates Chiron.
He trained Percy Jackson 😌
Let's be honest: Chiron vs Achilles was the best fight scene
can you do a ranking video of the servants based on your opinions and reasoning?
they literally could have used magnets siegfried or merged them to have a servant face achilles
Wait what about zero and ubw
archer of red and the archer of black, which do you think would be better to have in your team
I like Chiron, but Atalanta is cat girl waifu, agree or not
You gonna make fate extra videos soon? Its on netflix just wondering
Your Pronunciation of his name is killing me!!
Idk if you've done this but can you do Rozen Maiden cause I haven't seen anyone research it. And you might have fun with it
I’d love to see a centaur rock other peoples shit in fate
0:10. Ok, whatever. Next week, you should ignore everyone and cover the servant you want. 6:25. And the first 'season' when he faced off with Mordred. I say 'season' because the story never skipped a beat from episode 12 to episode 13, imo. 6:55. Told ya.
ok, he lost his immortality and can be summoned .. but what about heracles ? he was granted godhood and was still summoned
Heracles was granted godhood, not full divinity. There’s a difference. Heracles possessed only half divinity from Zeus, so he ascended as a half-god. Whereas, if Chiron would’ve ascended, he would have as a full-god
GODDAMNIT hercules
Chiron. The only archer to Fist Fight
caster of black next
AniNews your not gana do fate zero servant???
+Ferdinand vermillion You might be in for a treat in 3 weeks
AniNews l'm so excited can't wait for it thanks... Your the man!!
PLEASE!
1:06. He chose to have 2 legs in this saga, Da Vinci chose to be summoned as the Mona Lisa in Fate/Grand Order, (however absurd that sounds to you, please know that I completely agree with you all), I wonder how many other servants choose to be summoned with a different physical body than they had in the past??? Also, even though Fate is (in)famous for making historically male figures as female in their stories, I wonder how many (if any at all) historically female figures they have made as male in their stories???
None, they just want to avoid a sausage fest.
That does make sense. It would be nice to see maybe 5 or 10 characters like that, even though it would merely give the appearance that they care about balance.
Nathaniel Shaw, The Overclocked Thinker they do though, there are just way more significant male historical figures than female
I love how literally every archer in this franchise is proficient in close combat
Including atalanta if you count that whole alter(?) thing
Gilgamesh actually sucks at close-combat, so-much so that a Highschool student with next to no formal training was able to take his arm off once Gil couldn't rely on Gate of Babylon anymore.
Gold Wade in ubw they literally nerfed gilgamesh by lying to the audience's face and saying he never mastered any of his weapons
if gil was bad at close combat, you tell me how the fuck did he defeat humbaba?
Well, if you really look at it, the Casters are experts at close combat too? Caster Gil fires his spell only with the help of his book and uses battle axes, Merlin prefers to use sword and bites his tongue when he uses spells.
Medea is explicitly terrible at close-quarter combat though. Also Shakespeare, Avicebron, and Semiramis aren't great either. As for Gil, yeah Nasu dropped the ball on that fight considering Gil should be strong enough to just cave Shiro's face in with a love tap.
I need someone to talk about fate strange fake with
1:19 Surely you've never fought a Lynel...
comparison of nanachi's backstory please
he trained heracles too
Wonder how Hercules from fate zero would react to seeing Chrion
Hercules wasnt in Zero
SPARTACUS
This chiron is far more different than the ferryman to the underworld.
Jamal Davis I think that is Charon
Greek myths have a thing about giving totally unrelated characters similar names. *Glances at Cronus and Chronos*
A Guy. Greek deities need better names.
When ever you reference Peleus, why is it always a Roman solider that is shown to represent him? As he would be greek, living in a period long before the that kind of armour even existed.
Wouldn't Chiron technically double as a Rider since... well, y'know?
Chiron isn’t known to have ridden anything. The horse is part of his body, it’s like saying “Jeanne can also be a rider, since she’s riding Sieg”
Slowly starts hearing not Chiron, but Kira.
Help me.
*keikaku doori*
Chiron - keyeron
So does that part horse thing come into play for his.....battles at night?
What about the noble phantasm in his eye?
Apollo would in the Rider Class
I have a question, I know that Aquiles is annyingly OP (?), but, even if a servant has no divinity, is he or she going to be able to hurt Aquiles if they damage the heel and nulifies his divinity?
I know that Aquiles nulifies anything that is not divine but, anyone can hit his heel without divinity?
BoyHedgehog yes anykne can wound him by the heels but its hard.
Chiron can wound him anywhere so no point to aim just on his heels since he has divinity.
At the end of chiron life yes he lost the fight but i honestly believed that he could have killed achilles as well if he wanted with his NP hitting his head or anywhere vital but he didnt . He needed achilles alive now to deliver the shield to ashfold since hes dying now so he did his master or ally whatever a favor by only striking his heels to take away his divinity while he kept his promise to give the shield.
Seems like a wasted opportunity. A horses massive, powerful legs would be a neat and new factor in an anime fight; which is almost always humanoid vs humanoid.
Just one question if you have enough magic power can you summon a god.
(Yes, yes I don't know much about fate)
not in a normal grail war (or the god will be hugelly nerfed). You need exeptional circunstances to get one
Where's shirou emiya?? The true Archer
If I you were to summon a servant who would it be and what would be their Noble Phantasm? Also what faction, red or black?
Servant: My mom (oh wait raiko already exists)
Noble Phantasm: 5 missed phone calls
Longinus, Lancer of Red (makes sense being on the same side than the priest shiro) NP: The Holy Lance that Pierced the Son of God, expect the lance to be as powerful as the one in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Leonidas. Lancer of Black.
Thermopylae - Anti Army - Reality marble - Very similar to Rider from Fate Zero.
Defying Spear - Anti-Divine Noble Phantasm - Leonidas loses all defenses but gains +Throwing spear and can damage gods/divine.
Tezca Tlipoca We already have leonidas
Guan Yu
Grand Rider Class
Nps: Red Hare, Green Dragon
Faction: Black
Havent watched this series only fate zero and stay night but i thought only 1 of every class were allowed during the war
This is a grand Holy grail war in that its 7vs7 servants
WAIT THAT'S HIS TAIL? I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS HIS HAIR
Tail is like.. hair but at the butt
Second season?
Could he be summoned as a rider?
Jeanne could also be summoned as a Rider
Your saying his name wrong is pronounced KYREN I know cuz I was named after him
“KY-RON” is the Greek pronunciation. “KEE-RON” is the Western pronunciation. Both are correct in their own ways
Do fate zero servents
I think Chiron can shot that arrow (from the noble phantasam) even im day light,it doesn't really matter if it's night or day because the constellation is always up ther in the sky.
If somebody can't wait until he starts with Extra servants, here is a link to a video with Nero: ruclips.net/video/ACJRHsldjx0/видео.html
!!!ARE U NOT ENTERTAINED!!!!
Chiron is the son of the rape horse.
it's Kai-ron, not CARE-on... gods of olympus🤦♀️ y'all confuse him with the ferryman of Hades🤦♀️
Dionysus is a man not a she
Kronos is not the god of time, thats Chronos, easy mistake.
+Stefan Zaric Rip me. Thanks for letting me know :)
Kronos is in polish
Just in case we're uncultured wow chill ever heard of the saying don't attack your Audience
