- This week we explore the city of Bruges in Belgium with it's quirky buildings before heading back to France to experience locally baked Croissants and wine tasting in a gorgeous Vineyard. We then head to Barcelona Spain to take part in the famous 3 kings Festival.

Thank you so much for watching. If you are new here, I'm Heidi and I live aboard my Narrowboat The Rum Wench and travel the UK's Canals in search of Adventure. After selling my house to experience an alternative lifestyle I bought a canal boat and a camper van which as a solo female who loves to travel, gives me the best of both worlds. I have recently got myself a new addition to the crew, a fabulous companion - my little rescue dog Bonny who is an absolute joy and the perfect First Mate. I also work full time off grid from my tiny home and trade at canal festivals as The Narrowboat Pirate aboard The Pirate Boat.

Changing the scenery for a while will recharge your mental and physical batteries for your returns to the UK and Ireland.

I lived in Spain for 14 years in a small town called Sax, inland from Alicante, a very nice place to live and work, I intend to move back there some day perhaps in 2025.

I was watching the 3 kings parade in malaga, a man was stood watching with a son in each hand one boy crawled under the wagon to retrieve a sweet , the wagon ran over his head and there was just silence, you could hear a pin drop , the boy died instantly 😎

It’s was madness with the festival being on but we going to be in Spain for a while so hoping to sample a lot of the food while here …. I want proper tapas 😂🏴☠️❤️
You will find real communities motorhome of foreigners (Dutch, British, French, Germans, etc.) who come here to spend the winter months and then return home in the summer. In Spain there are as many robberies as in France or England, do not worry too much about it, use caution as anywhere else. Park4night is excellent. Enjoy my land (Spain).
Valencia for the silk museum and lots more. If you fancy a longer walk, go to the science park and see if you recognise where they filmed the Dr Who episode, "Smile". Then there is Penedès which is the Cava region, or go north and try Pintxos (Pinchos), or South to Granada... so much to do.

You have probably been past the place by now but when we travelled down to Spain in our vans we stopped off at Sitges, wonderful old town and you could park on the front, well worth a visit
My neighbours are travelling in their van just now. They are parked up in Villajoyosa . Looks beautiful. Maybe look it up online
If you want beaches in Spain the resorts are mucho expensive I’d explore inland places like Rhonda, the off to Portugal to the home of port… lots of tasting and very friendly people xxx

I was worried the van journey would not engage me as much as the cruising but I was wrong. Looks amazing and making me very jealous as I think about my 5.30 wake up call in freezing cold temperatures. 🥶

Barcelona is a great city, lots of tapas restaurants in the Ramblas area, breakfast at the bakery around the corner, and visiting everything designed by Gaudi.

You were very restrained waiting until after the waffles and chocolate for the beer. When we first got off the boat into Belgium, the bar was our first stop! Although, it was 12 midnight when we landed. 47years ago. You're gonna love Barcelona.

Hey Pirate-Lady, all the places you visitet until now i also know very well. To be honest with you i would recommend this route you traveled also,because its for me the most beautyful one. In Girona is that faboulus "Salvdor Dali" Museum i would recommend to visit. I missed you weting the lips with a little Rum in this video. So as we say in spanish "hasta la proxima"
