I don't see how it's difficult to understand that IHE isn't saying he hates you because you like something. Sure, he doesn't agree with your opinion, but that doesn't automatically mean he'd think you're a bad person for liking something he doesn't. Let me give you an example for how this works. I personally love cats. I have a pet cat and I think they're very cute and sweet. I know two people who hate cats. One of them is my friend. The other is a dick bag. I'll call my friend Mia, and the dick bag Caleb. (Spoiler alert, the dick bag's actual name is Caleb.) So, Caleb was a new kid at school, and I sat next to him in class. I was talking to him for a while, and he seemed tolerable. I can't remember how, but some how I got to the topic of how I have a pet cat. I don't know how the logic worked in his head, but basically, he decided "I hate cats, and therefore, I hate you." So we never got to know each other, because I liked cats and he didn't. On the other hand, I was talking to my friend Mia about how I have a pet cat. She said she doesn't like cats. I said I liked cats. And, like normal people, we both agreed it was fine that I liked cats and she didn't. Because it's an opinion. And we're still friends, and that never got between us, because it's such a trivial thing that no one cares about. So, there's irony here. If you assume that IHE specifically doesn't like you because he doesn't like something you like, you are actually the one saying you don't like him because he dislikes something you like.
I've thought about this crap for a very very long time on my own, just to justify to myself why I never make a big deal about this stuff. But you summed it up so darn perfectly! I can even relate to that 2 friend example! I have 2 people in mind who don't really like one of my favorite games, one is one of my best friends and one...well isn't. It all depends on what you take from the info and how you respond to it! That last paragraph is pure genious though! Sometimes you have to question "Did he offend me?...Or did I get offended?" It can be hard to tell the difference when emotions get in the way, but that paragraph makes the whole thing much more clear! Like I found IHE from his sonic video, and at the time I found it a bit harsh...only took me like a day or 2 to get over it, and I'm glad I did cause this channel is awesome as frick and even helped inpire me to continue with plans of my own! I know this video is almost 5 years old, but I just need to share something. So in a few days, I am going into 7th grade, and I am 12 years old. At the begging of 6th grade, they showed a video on how to follow directions in class. Except the video had minions in them. Everyone in the room started bursting out laughing, and the teachers seemed proud of them selves for the fact that they made the kids laugh at something funny. I don't see how it's difficult to understand that IHE isn't saying he hates you because you like something. Sure, he doesn't agree with your opinion, but that doesn't automatically mean he'd think you're a bad person for liking something he doesn't. Let me give you an example for how this works.
I personally love cats. I have a pet cat and I think they're very cute and sweet. I know two people who hate cats. One of them is my friend. The other is a dick bag. I'll call my friend Mia, and the dick bag Caleb. (Spoiler alert, the dick bag's actual name is Caleb.) So, Caleb was a new kid at school, and I sat next to him in class. I was talking to him for a while, and he seemed tolerable. I can't remember how, but some how I got to the topic of how I have a pet cat. I don't know how the logic worked in his head, but basically, he decided "I hate cats, and therefore, I hate you." So we never got to know each other, because I liked cats and he didn't. On the other hand, I was talking to my friend Mia about how I have a pet cat. She said she doesn't like cats. I said I liked cats. And, like normal people, we both agreed it was fine that I liked cats and she didn't. Because it's an opinion. And we're still friends, and that never got between us, because it's such a trivial thing that no one cares about.
So, there's irony here. If you assume that IHE specifically doesn't like you because he doesn't like something you like, you are actually the one saying you don't like him because he dislikes something you like.

I've thought about this crap for a very very long time on my own, just to justify to myself why I never make a big deal about this stuff. But you summed it up so darn perfectly! I can even relate to that 2 friend example! I have 2 people in mind who don't really like one of my favorite games, one is one of my best friends and one...well isn't. It all depends on what you take from the info and how you respond to it!
That last paragraph is pure genious though! Sometimes you have to question "Did he offend me?...Or did I get offended?" It can be hard to tell the difference when emotions get in the way, but that paragraph makes the whole thing much more clear!
Like I found IHE from his sonic video, and at the time I found it a bit harsh...only took me like a day or 2 to get over it, and I'm glad I did cause this channel is awesome as frick and even helped inpire me to continue with plans of my own! (hasn't gone anywhere yet, but that's another topic...)
