When I started collecting 3 or 4 years ago I said to myself 'just stick to British stamps'. That lasted less than a day lol. I have a feeling something similar happened to you 😀 Also, Akira is an amazing movie.
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. The stamps on the covers are all orchids. Being low values there was a different set (with the same basic design) for each of the (12? states). I assume that the flags at the bottom of the FDCs are the flags of the individual states. The higher value stamps that went with these was a set of rather colourful bird stamps - also worth a video if you come across them.
You may probably already know this but Malaya, or part of present day Malaysia which includes North Borneo, was once upon a time called the Straight Settlements. Have you found any stamps from these places as well?
