Excellent video and concept. I have been doing stairs with heavy trolley’s for over 25 years. Haven’t tried this yet but planning to. From what I can see using this 2 stage system, the load is still the same but with less risk of failure as the two stage system allows you to relax your movement in the process.

well, there the center of mass slides along the trajectory of the arc. The wheels of an ordinary hand cart, or rather the center of mass, which is located on the axis, repeating the trajectory of the steps - horizontally, vertically, and so on
the idea is to smooth the step. The amount of energy is obviously the same for a given step, but transition takes longer, and the amount of Force is indeed smaller than a basic system. Force is smaller, but compensated by a longer action. The move is accordingly less intense.
@@pierresteinbach4541 Do you think this is the same as if the inner green rim of the wheel rotated relative to the black tire? The straight axis would be rigidly fixed to the edge of the green rim.

Don't really understand how this would help climb the stairs just looks like the wheels pivot but doesn't actually help the wheel up?

such wheeled triples have very poor maneuverability. however, the manufacturer "Rotacaster" makes special wheels for a triple wheel system
