What original name? His original name is Pyramid Head. The only other name I could find was "Red Pyramid Thing". If you mean his role in the movie and Homecoming where he could be called an executioner, then I'm sorry to inform you, but this has nothing to do with the original Pyramid Head.

His appearance and actions are meant to symbolize the shadow of Silent Hill, which is a town infamous for the brutal executions that used to be carried out there. The executioners wore the same attire that Pyramid Head wears, so "The Executioner" is as fitting a name as any for him.

i've never played silent hill + i wasn't familiar with the characters while watching the trailer, so it's super awesome to see fans of the series react!

@@LesterMoe26 Silent Hill 1 runs great with Duckstation. Silent Hill 2/3 run well on PCSX2. However, there is a fan made enhanced edition of SH2 that is a lot of work but worth it. 4 got a release on GOG not too long ago, I dont even think I had to DL any patches. Homecoming on PC is terrible and not worth it, even the patches are still broken, Downpour can be emulated in its entirety with either RPCS3 or Xenia. There are a few glitches but the 60fps is nice. I recommend you follow guides for the Emulators to get the games looking and running as good as possible.
I would recommend you get into silent hill, for it is one of the most cherished pieces of psychological horror in all media.

Man I was so happy when they announced it was a SH chapter. This game has a direct link to my childhood, watching my dad play it on our ps1. Me personally never wanted to play the game just because the thought of just bringing a lighter with you for a light source was just way beyond my comprehension at the time and I was scared to even. Hearing the siren and walls peel off really sent chills through me.
I first thought they should have saved the name The Executioner for The Evil Within but I remembered they can just use The Keeper there.
