  • A 9-year-old elementary student fell off the swings during recess and fractured both arms. However, when she went to the school nurse, she was only given an ice pack and sent back to class. Her mother was never called and the 9-year-old suffered in pain for hours.
    Now, the mother wants to sue the school but was told she couldn't. KTXS Reporter Karina Hollingsworth spoke with an attorney to find out more about what it takes to sue a school.

    Sending her back to class rather than call the parent is absolutely negligent.

    This should be considered gross negligence. I do generally agree with what the rule is. Accidents happen, don't sue the tax dollars because of an accident

    They called her to tell her she can't sue, but not about her daughter being injured?? What kind of ass backwards logic is that????
