If he resigns in Phoenix the coaching staff needs to adjust the offense into more of an equal-opportunity, ball movement style. CP3 was not only worn down by age and Holiday but also with being the setup man on every play. Too often possessions turned into one on one isolation basketball which unfortunately makes an offense very predictable.

    Regular Season - 31.5 mpg, 17.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 7.8 apg, 49 / 38 / 92, good defense
    Playoffs: 35.0 mpg, 19.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 7.7 apg, 50 / 42 / 88, good defense
Chris Paul is still an All-NBA level talent and top 20 player in the league. He does not appear to be slowing down as a player anytime soon, so there should be no reason to say his championship window is closed. He is on a player option so he basically can choose where to go and would be a huge piece to any team that gets him. If he stays, the Suns have a great young future, good depth pieces, and a very good head coach. It'll be tough, but I definitely would not consider the window closed.

I disagree with Stephen A. I understand exactly where Stephen A is coming from with his point of view, but this is a game where we just saw anything is possible when it comes to making the Finals. Injuries occur, it happens, it happened and all of a sudden, they beat Lakers, sweep Nuggets, eliminate Clippers in 6. Until coming up short. You never know what the outcome is going to be. I didn't think Klay Thompson would get re injured and miss the entire season. I didn't see AD, Jamal Murray, Kyrie Irving, Kawhi and so many others including Finals MVP Giannis being injured. But it happened. We have to start paying attention to the narrative that nothing is promised, but anything is possible. So I say Chris Paul definitely has the same chance as everyone else. The question is, does he have the will and determination to keep going now that he came up short. That will determine if he is a true Champion.

Ayton is no where near AD talent wise, you don’t understand how devastating the pick and roll would be. CP3 can sign , the Lakers lose no trade chips and add another dynamic player. If you don’t like the Lakers say that. But if you don’t think they will one of the top teams , you need to get tested . FYI he already did it with Rondo in there championship run

Hot take: Lowry deserves as much respect in the NBA as Chris Paul. If cp3 was a mvp candidate this year than Lowry should of been one too in 2019 when he had better stats and led the raps to the second best record in the league without Kawhi (as a 34 year old) When he won a ring He performed better in the finals and in the bubble last year he had a legendary series despite losing on the last possession of game 7. He doesn't have as deep of a skill set but in terms of leadership, impact, IQ, hustle plays, defense and organizing the offense He should be put on the same level at least.
