Now that the Lord has told Elder Holland to come back to earth with more urgency than ever, I think we should expect to hear some pretty amazing things from him to shake us awake.
President Holland has been deeply affected by what he was shown on the other side when he went through the veil. A sense of urgency and seriousness is what happens when someone has a major life-changing experience on the other side of the veil in an out of body experience and the Lord opens their eyes. .We have those out of body experiences or the eye openers as I call them recorded in the scriptures. So the Apostle is going to tutor us on the scriptures now that hes been on the other side. That sounds like a new change.
I think how ever long of a time elder Holland has left rather a couple of weeks or months we should be listening carefully to all he says . I hope he keeps leaving messages for us . He sure looked good in this message . Nog looking sick here but we know he is .,God wants his messages out .

If the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon is revealed and translated before the Second Coming, we can expect persecution towards The Church and it's members to increase quite a bit. This information would be spread throughout mainstream and social media. We better be prepared to truly defend our faith.

That's a fantastic connection. We have been being prepared for an increase of persecution. I have noticed all the clues where others have not. Thought I was just a negative Nelly 😅
I think it will come forth and be an instrument IN the church to separate wheat from tares, those who have done the spiritual work to learn to HEAR HIM and those that expect the church to change to social change with the world.
If that happens, we must recall that, yes, we must not back down in response to it, but also, we must not get irrationally zealous by seeking it out or attempting to augment it either. That behavior occurred during the persecution of the Early early church (100 AD-300 AD) and was part of individual apostasy (if I remember it correctly from "The Great Apostasy").
Must I say that’s why going to the temple is so important. We can learn by revelation for ourselves the mysteries of God!!!🙌🏼

I have felt deeply that come follow me is a preparatory program to prepare us for more scripture, like the sealed portion or some of the other tribes! I should do a video about why I think that way, because it’s been on my mind for years!

What makes you think it is a sealed portion. From some of the other tribes ? It is a sealed portion from when Jesus came to the nephites and all he taught them that they could not write .

Your comments made me think about the original use of the Kirkland temple as a school for the prophets and a house of learning. Which it surly is now, but what if there is more to come? The last thing you read by Bruce R MCCONKIE about people recieving all the knowledge they will receive is almost identical to the end of president Nelson's last talk where he encouraged us to receive all the blessings of the temple we are willing and worthy to receive. What if all these temples are being built and all this focus on temple attendance is preparing a people to receive further light and knowledge beyond what is available there now? What if the seal portion were to become available only in the temple? What if temples resumed their function as schools of prophets. Creating a people who are seers of all God has to show those who are ready and willing to receive it. Just a thought, no evidence to support it, but I thought I'd throw it out there.😊
A couple of months ago I was thinking about this very thing, and wondering with anticipation when the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon is to come forth. Suddenly a pretty loud thought came into my head and I heard the words of Ezra Taft Benson saying we are still under condemnation for treating the Book of Mormon lightly. It was made very clear to me that we won't be getting any sealed portion until we use and take seriously what we have! I think this is the very message that President Holland is telling us in this video. Let's try not to look beyond the mark. If we want new scripture, we must read and share what we've already been given.
Still, it will be very cool if we can get ourselves over that line.
We have scripture that says that all scripture that has ever been given will be revealed. So this is exciting. Sounds like it will be fulfilled very soon.❤️

For whatever reason I was doing a deep dive on Chinese history this weekend, and was so curious about when the standardization happened...what records were burned, and what records might still exist. I can't help it! Totally speculative, but there have to be things from other nations.
I served my Mission in Japan, back in the early 90's. While I was at the Provo, Utah, MTC, one of the Sensei(Teachers) told a story about what he came across in Japan. At one of the Shinto Temples, he got to see actual scrolls that depicted a Man dressed in White surrounded by many Native Japanese people. Our Sensei believe that "The Man" in White was a depiction of the Savior. I believe, that if Whole Nations are to hear the good news. We will need Scriptures from those Nations dating back to the tower of Babel. It only makes sense. MORE SCRIPTURE WILL COME. It's written throughout the BoM. I guess the question is, Will We be ready???? Those who don't study the Scriptures currently, won't really care if, more are revealed. They will just say like with everything else, "That's Cool" or "WOW". However, go back to looking at the Large and Spacious building. I look forward to whatever comes!!!!!🎉
I’ve also been noticing ancient Chinese traditions are really indicative of ancestry work in temples, and signs of Christ (just today, I stumbled onto a video of a lady performing a very “ancient and mysterious” dance on a bamboo pole, so it looks like you’re dancing on the water. I thought of Jesus Christ walking on water).
Furthermore, I saw a portion of a river dried up in China (I think Jared did a video on this) and they found three Buddha statues, two smaller and one larger than the others. Hmmm =]]
I appreciate the fact that you have not forged a box to restrain yourself in as so many have. Even among the members of the LDS faith. We should never place the Lord into a box and expect Him to do things the way we feel they should be done. "For my ways are not your ways, saith the Lord."

So that is where my favorite painting is located. It’s in Elder Holland’s office. I have heard that it was some where in the administration build.
This is a painting done by the great LDS painter Walter Ranes. It’s titled the last supper. Look at the door to the room, you see a shadow of someone (Judas) leaving the Christ and His apostles. It’s so dynamic.
I am so excited! I was grateful to see President Holland online yesterday. I do anything online on the Sabbath except for watching gospel related content. And that's kept to a minimum. I am amazed at what the prophets and apostles are saying to us!

One thing you quoted about it not being “revealed to the church as a whole”. Made me think about how important personal revelation is and why President Nelson has been stressing it so much.
In the past I would just read Isaiah and struggle to understand. I have learned that if I study parts of the Book of Mormon that talk about Isaiah while I read it in the Bible - I gain a better understanding.
Maybe as individuals we can get a bit more prepared as we study - and that opens us up to what is gradually being revealed - in conference , etc - but not yet recognized as a whole.
God teaches line upon line. I don’t believe He is saving up everything to dump on us all at once.
My thoughts
I also studying 2 Nephi and really hard to understand Isaiah part so I asked my institute teacher. Guess what he gave me the all Isaiah comparison parts and I am diving into it which is new level of perspective of God. It is just amazing and I can’t wait to read new scriptures coming.
But in God’s way - which usually means - as we have prepared ourselves to receive - we will be blessed to be among those that receive.
The Lord probably told them that the books will be soon revealed

I find it interesting that the book of Enoch is to be testified of in its own due time. Seeing how it covers the end from the beginning as well and that the brother of Jared saw these marvelous things and wrote them as well, which are contained in the sealed portion of the book of Mormon, it wouldn't surprise me if the sealed portion of the book of Mormon further clarifies the book of Enoch as we currently have it as it is deeply symbolic and also literally in ways we don't fully grasp. That's why so many prophets were forbidden to write these things.
On an additional note, I think a thorough study of Moses 1 is in order as there's no coincidence why the additional language was added in our Temple instruction as of late. In preparation for the things which are to be revealed. Definitely difficult and exciting times ahead!
I knew for a long time that someday all of our brothers and sisters would be able to have the Priesthood and attend the temple but it seemed like it would probably be during the Millennium. Then suddenly all worthy men could hold the Priesthood and all worthy members could attend the temple.
I knew for a long time that someday the temple in Nauvoo would be rebuilt but it seemed like it would probably be during the Millennium that that would happen. Then suddenly it was announced that the Nauvoo temple was going to be rebuilt. Circumstances had presented an opportunity made it right.
I have long known that there are more Scriptures that someday we''ll have access to...maybe during the Milllennium.
It will be so amazing to get the sealed portion of the BofM.

I was thinking about that some weeks before that video from Elder Holland, I was expecting to get more scriptures to learn about Jesus! I feel very excited about the possibility of receiving more of the word of God.
I heard this and was excited! I know they have the book of Joseph but Joseph smith never published it. But it has more of the temple knowledge and understanding in it. See Bruce Porter
The revealing of the scriptures is dependent on how much we have prepared ourselves to receive these new scriptures. Which is why we have to study and read what we already have.

About the JST… wasn’t the original manuscript part of the purchase alongside the Kirtland Temple? I think there are many parts of this manuscript that we don’t have in our standardized footnotes yet.
If you want a lot of what Joseph translated, there’s a source that I often search up and read on Google: “inspired version, holy scriptures, centerplace”
Yes that is so exciting we have that now.
The Church has published most, if not all of them, in the Joseph Smith Papers. It will be great though to have them included in our current canon.
I saw that they also had some other things that his son Joseph Smith 111 wrote in doctrine and covenants . Revelations he claims he got as a prophet . You can read those too.
We will be reading the unsealed portion from dark-30 to nite-thirty. That is how I read the Book of Mormon in 2 weeks the first time before joing The Church with out energy drinks in 1978. Does anyone think reading it will supercharge us up into more obediance, service, and spirituality? Exciting - yes!

I agree. Even those scriptures found as the Dead Sea Scroll were not brought forth by prophets, they were records which validated some of the existing verbal history. I mean I was looking at ancient beliefs and can easily see them as doctrines we have which have been filtered and altered to adjust to ever changing cultures. Like the Thunder Bird Myth among native Americans tell a story exactly like Abraham being offered up for sacrifice, the images they use sound like the facsimile of Abraham on the Lion couch. I mean that would be a record which Lehi would have had, should it have that imagery? Maybe if it were in Egyptian hieroglyphs, and I would suppose imagery like that would only be for select stories like we do today. Even the Thunderbird makes sense, the facsimile says it is the spirit or angel of the Lord, Yahweh or Jehovah was considered a Storm deity (thunder) in Canaan. I will have to put something together to explain this better.

Not to mention that Quetzalcoatl was also considered a God of thunder and rain, and he was born of a virgin named Chimalma, and he was sacrificed for his worshippers.

@@FromAgonyToLight yeah! Only that combines the bird and serpent into one being, like the Chinese theology of ying and yang. There is a ton of Chinese influence in Meso-America that seem to be break offs of various dynasties. But Christ came and gave his word to every nation. My opinion at least.
@@Thehaystack7999 Sure, yet also Christ taught us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Put those two together and you have a feathered serpent, which Quetzalcoatl was.

I think it is important to note that the Dead Sea Scrolls have not come through the church. I think this being "one way" for new scripture to come forth should clue us in to pay attention to what has come forth through the Dead Sea Scrolls and other ancient texts available in English now and available world wide through the internet. Applying the words of Moroni 10:5 to ANY text is helpful and also following what was revealed in D&C about the Apocrapha. I feel like people who have learned the language of symbolism in the scriptures will be able to read and benefit from the precious truths the spirit can teach through these texts.
I think we will all have the gift of tongues so that we will be able to read them in the original language.

I think sometimes it is easy to forget that even during the great apostasy - John and the 3 Nephites - 4 priesthood holders that we know of - still walked on the earth. I believe since the time of Adam - the priesthood of God and our Savior Jesus Christ has always been on the earth.
Noah held the priesthood. I believe that the Brother of Jared held the priesthood.
It will be interesting to find out just how little we have been given.
Like you said - we have been given what we need for now. We also have been told that some things have been withheld because we have chosen other things that have kept us in a position of not being ready to receive. I can see how some who don’t value what has been given - are pulling away even more. How we value what He has already given - will be a big part of being able to see the value of what He is soon getting ready to reveal.
It will be hard to recognize His voice if we aren’t familiar with understanding His words.
They may walk the earth but they may also cloaked (invisible)because they are translated beings.. They only show themselves when
the Lord desires them to. The Lord himself had this power to cloak and uncloak himself resurrected beings also have this power. That's why he suddenly appeared in the room with all his disciples without opening the door or suddenly dissapearing from the crowd...

Hey Jared. Have you heard about the convergence of the two species of cicadas that are due to appear this year, in a month from now. Supposedly, over a trillion will emerge in the heartland. This is the first time that they will be making a same year debut since 1803. The bulk of them are to appear in the Missouri and Iowa areas.

Ether 4:6 For the Lord said unto me: They shall not go forth unto the Gentiles until the day that they shall repent of their iniquity, and become clean before the Lord.
Ether 4:7 And in that day that they shall exercise faith in me, saith the Lord, even as the brother of Jared did, that they may become sanctified in me, then will I manifest unto them the things which the brother of Jared saw, even to the unfolding unto them all my revelations, saith Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of the heavens and of the earth, and all things that in them are.

20:05 Why is the sealed portion withheld from us?
I think it has to do with that the knowledge in it is so sacred that if you are wicked you should not or can not be allowed to know it.
So, say the membership of the church are ready to receive the sealed portion, how would it be distributed? How can we get the knowledge to those who are ready for it while keeping it secret from those who are not? If we can’t even protect the temple secrets from those who would disrespect it, how can we be entrusted with things even more sacred?
Thus, it makes most sense that the sealed portion will not come forth (publicly at least) till after the earth has been cleansed of wicked people, or in other words, during the millennium.

I don’t think it has to be a “main group” for us to get scripture from the other tribes. Lehi’s family wasn’t the whole of the tribe of Manasseh, it was a tiny sliver that grew into a nation.

I think it's going to be called the gospel of Abraham, because that's President Nelson's exact words. But I'm just guessing for fun. But I'm very grateful for the book of Mormon. Can you imagine how many people might potentially read such a thing? Could a marvelous work and a wonder mean something deeper, or at least have a shadow? I believe
In 1 Nephi 13, the Lord explains that one of the main purposes for bringing forth additional scriptures is to be merciful unto the Gentiles because many plain & precious truths were removed from the Bible by the great & abominable church.
And because these truths were removed, the gentiles would stumble (or not believe in the Book of Mormon).
It's like the Lord is saying: 'I knew all along that the gentiles would, for the most part, reject the Book of Mormon, but it's not entirely their fault. I will be merciful to them because they were deceived by the plain & precious truths being removed. I will bring forth additional scriptures to convince them of the truth and hurdle over the stumbling block before them.
"I will be merciful unto the Gentiles in that day, insomuch that I will bring forth unto them, in mine own power, much of my gospel, which shall be plain and precious, saith the Lamb."
26:18 the word Ken means to understand, or knowledge. It is an old word that is not used much in modern vocabulary.

We don’t know how many groups Jesus visited after the Nephites. Seems likely there were MANY groups. Just go look at a picture of Buddha. There are probably tons of records waiting to come. 3Nephi 16:1 And verily, verily, I say unto you that I have other sheep, which are not of this land, neither of the land of Jerusalem, neither in any parts of that land round about whither I have been to minister.
2 For they of whom I speak are they who have not as yet heard my voice; neither have I at any time manifested myself unto them.
3 But I have received a commandment of the Father that I shall go unto them, and that they shall hear my voice, and shall be numbered among my sheep, that there may be one fold and one shepherd; therefore I go to show myself unto them.
