I know EXACTLY where this house is! Great block, walking distance from the bus line, grocery stores and post office. Didn't know that it was for sale and definitely didn't know that it was $1.2M+ 😮 It's beautiful!! ❤ Thank you for the tour!
I find the $1.2M home disappointing because it lacks curb appeal and the fixtures inside are underwhelming. The bedroom sizes and closets are too small, and while the backyard has potential, it needs work. Despite my love for Hillcrest, I honestly don’t think this property will sell for the asking price.
@@Christine_ life happens and people have to move on a whim sometimes . These quick turnarounds with homes happens a lot more often than you would think. especially here in the DMV. Lots of military folks here who have to move in less than 2-3 years after they have bought a home because the military is re-stationing them on short notice.
Over $1 million for Hillcrest in southeast DC? Are u kidding me? Southeast has the lowest property values, no real sit down dining, no movie theaters, no entertainment, no high end grocery stores and no decent schools. I will say this: some parts of Hillcrest and Hillcrest Heights does have a suburban feel but you drive out of that neighborhood and you run right into crime, government housing, horrible schools and terrible grocery store.. The neighborhood was decent back in the early to mid 1970s when Sears, Jumbo, Giant Grocery, Safeway and the movie theater was there on Alabama Ave.. Naylor Gardens was massive housing community for seniors who worked for the government and it use to be 95% White residents (Naylor Gardens also had its own shopping center). Lots of people back in the day was hoping that a Metro Subway station would gentrify the area but that dream was 50 years ago and now that a subway is near by, the area still isn't developed beyond what it use to be. That massive project that is on Alabama & Naylor road is a decent start...
Who ever did the designing missed it, it is something with the wood choices, it does not flow, they are going to have to stage this to sell it, good luck I understand the price, but please let someone else design it, Not the owners lol 😂
Say my brother I know you’re trying to make a buck, but who in the world needs a4000 ft. House. What are the heating cooling bills going to cost. That size of house should never be built in in established neighborhoods. I’m just saying whoever owns a mansion should be around other people with mansions. Gary P.
4000 Sq ft isn't a mansion lol I have several grands and a child still at home and live in 4300 Sq ft and love it. I think it's the layout of this home that's not so appealing.

The steps in the front of the house are horrendous.
Hey Bashir, Thanks for the detailed walk-thru. Just texted my info. Let me know how we can add support. Much success with the listing.
Now I've seen it all -- $1.2 for Hillcrest!!!
I live in Hillcrest and this house does not fit the character of the neighborhood.
What does that mean, the interior or exterior or both?
I know right! It’s almost too nice to be there.
I toured this home almost 2 years ago. It’s was bought then sold 2 years later. Wonder why the quick turn around on such an expensive home? 😅

it was designed by the builder

This home detracts from the character and beauty of the neighborhood. The design of the interior also feels disjointed. 🫤
