MayMay, as always, thank you for sharing your wonderful tips. I too thought my stamping was fine without using the pad, but then it seemed that everyone was saying to use the foam, and I did, but I have had problems just what you are talking about. I am going to go back to my 'old' way of stamping! :)
Thank you for all your hard work in explaining various craft techniques and products. I do have one question that has bothered me since the invention of all the various stamping tools. Why not use these stamping tools every time we need to stamp? The invention of the MISTI made the difference in my entire card making experience. Why take a chance at all that your stamping does not transfer as well as it could with the stamping tools?
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I kept hearing you should use a foam pad so I tried it many times. I thought I was just losing my stamping ability. I just wasn’t happy with the results. It was good to know I’m not alone. Thanks again.
Most of the I don't use a pad under my stamps but, if I have a large stamp I need a pad to get all of the ink on the paper!!! Thanks for your tips and product videos, always helpful!!! Hugs💗👵
Thank you so much for that great video. I love those Fiskars stamping tools. I don’t think you can call them a block ❤️. They really work well and I almost always have to use my Misti
Hello Maymay! I would like to see you create this mini-album. I think it is so stinkin cute. I enjoy your videos so much, even the ones that I really do not plan to use. ~ Paula Kaye
But u actually do have a foam pad under u. Your cutting pad is a foam pad. I have found that it helps. I maybe wrong but if I stamp on a glass surface it’s not quite as good of an image. Just that cutting mat foam helps me.
Cutting mats are pretty rigid in my experience. What brand do you have that is is soft like foam? I have an Olfa self-healing mat and there is no give to it.
Michelle L I have an American Crafts. There is not a lot of give but it’s not like stamping on a hard surface. That is all I was saying. I was not disagreeing. Just saying that having a little give underneath might help better than none at all.
Hi there: Thank you for sharing this tip. I also think that your pad that you use to place your work on has got a little give to it. The matt I am talking about. When I use mine I get a better result than if I just stamp like on a flat surface such as a table. Great tips though.
Thanks Maymay!

I use a mouse pad with the rubber stamps and the hard surface with the clear stamps.
Thank you for clarifying this issue for us. I also appreciated the "halo prevention" video.
