I like how these stories also show that God doesn’t constantly magically do things for us like a genie. He is often silent on purpose and works from the background, allowing for people to act on their own free will while still influencing the events that happen, and allows people to willfully choose to trust in God or to not trust in God. And face the consequences of whatever choices we make. In many ways God is the personification of fate and truth itself.

      Didn't you hear?
"Even God has his hell: it is his love for man". And lately did I hear him say these words: "God is dead: of his pity for man has God died".

I used to go to popeyes every Thursday in university, i was a fatty. One day i cancelled on my friend to workout instead, when i was at the gym they had a small pool a kid snuck in and drowned. I was the only person there who knew CPR and had emt background. Satan, the devil told me to get chicken and its Okay. Holy ghost told me to workout instead, i saved a 6 year old boys life by trusting the good voice that day. Call it what you will, but u listen to the good voice as much as i can since then.

So refreshing to see a historical “cliff notes” version of longstanding stories passed from one generation to another, without descending into a shallow post-modernist critique relying on faith in the tenants of “everything is political and everything is wacist”

If you ever do any kind of study on the Bible, you will learn very quickly that it almost goes out of its way to emphasize messed up people. There are very few who aren't, and that's kind of what I like about it.

God is true to his word, we struggle with trusting it, we struggle with holding our word. But we have a short time so we get impatient, we all get what is promised to us if we keep our word.(God or not)

Literally no verse that says he passed the covenant to other nations. Israel is the apple of The Most Highs eye and after the temporary time and power of the gentiles has passed, He will raise up Israel again, but only those who turn back to His laws and leave behind sin. They (the set apart Israelites) will judge the other nations. That's what the bible says.
