Very well done. I like the mix of live and video props, store-bought and home-made props, and the use of indoor and outdoor space. It appears to have been very well planned and laid out. Nice Job!
Wow!! I wish were my neighbor so that I could enjoy this in person! This is amazing. And it inspires me. This year I want to provide my family with a yard haunt for Halloween too! I don't have the money for as many props but maybe over years of collecting I can this kind of a yard!
Geekella Thank you for the kind words! Some of the props that I bought were after Halloween. You can really get good deals during the off season and then each year you can add to your yard. Also, there are so many great tutorials on making your own tombstones. You can make quite a few tombstones out of one sheet of insulation foam. Sometimes the home improvement stores may have damaged sheets of the foam that they sometimes give you a good discount. They usually have paints that are marked down which will help save money too. I hope this helps and I will be looking forward to seeing your haunt!
Dude, you know what you're doing. You have to have sounds, music, lighting AND props...not just props like 90% of the people out there. Congrats on an awesome display. I may just have to copy some of that for my display. I use a lot of the same video effects. And I LOVE the vibrating trapdoor with the red light and skeleton.
WOAH! That is some legit Halloween decorations! So cool. Here in Denmark nobody really decorates like that. I've only seen one home with decor and they only had ONE pumpkin...haha //Maria
+ArtAndBeautyFreak Thank you so much! In my neighborhood, there aren't too many houses decorated that's why I decorate our yard so the TOT's and parents enjoy Halloween night.
This is so awesome!!! I am a Halloween freak. I do not have a house, with a yard, but fortunately I have a nice porch to decorate. It is a big slab of concrete so I have to get really creative. I think the only suggestion I would have for you is to maybe have some lighting on some of your props and some fog creeping around the ground. But it is still amazing and I think I would honestly be scared to go to your door myself!
Carlos Manzo I used the typical flood lights that you get at Home Depot or Lowes. For 2015, I am hoping to get new LED lights to illuminate the props and graveyard.
Hi. You did an amazing job and its so creative. I, too, love to dec to the extreme and the kids stop and stare in awe. It's so worth it for that reason alone. I do have one question if you would not mind just shooting me a quick response about it. The animated projection. What is it called or what do I search for to find something of the sort and is it displayed through a projector? Thanks so much and advance for any assistance.
+Jesse Snider Actually it's a mixture of both. The fence, columns and tombstones are homemade along with the Cauldron Creep, Monster In The Box and "Sam" figure. The masks on the props are bought but we made the bodies and created the movement with either reindeer motor and/or electric wiper motor. The window digital decorations are from Atmosfearfx's dvds while the wall inside the house is made from 4x8 insulation foam. The skeletons/skulls and other miscellaneous decorations are store bought.
+Jennifer Helferstay The videos are from Atmosfearfx DVDs Zombie Invasion & Unliving Portraits. Zombie shadows - I attached a white sheet to the window and used a pocket projector hooked up to a DVD player & projected the scene onto the sheet from inside the house. The portraits - I made a fake wall using 4x8 insulation foam and placed it in front of the window. Using a projector, I projected the scene from the back and then cut out the holes for the 3 portrait scene. I made picture frames and stapled a white sheet to the back of each frame and placed them on the front of the wall. I hope this helps.

+Jesse Snider Actually it's a mixture of both. The fence, columns and tombstones are homemade along with the Cauldron Creep, Monster In The Box and "Sam" figure.
