Yes! This is the episode I've been waiting for!! My husband and I are narrators and new authors, in the hopes of writing our own audio dramas that are the voices we want to record! This is a gem, thank you so much!
This was such an inspiring episode! Me and my partner made an audio drama in podcast form last year called Beyond the Gates. I recognise so many of the struggles mentioned here, but also the joys! I think this helped me to put into words what I love about audio drama as a medium, and I only truly discovered it recently. I’m definitely checking out Everyone’s Happy!
I recently listened to a series of 44 short books Mysteries, read by Neil Dudgeon. While he is a known actor From Midsummer Mysteries, I found that I could forget that because as he read the book he did so in the voices of the different characters. it wasn't quite like old-time programs. However, it was very much like listening to one. It was quite fun closing my eyes and seeing the story unfold. I started listening to them because I was feeling starved for a good mystery and my eyes had not been working for several months. I had so much fun with them. For fiction, I might just stick with the audio versions in the future.
10 minutes. Considering how contentious it can be, I admire how upfront you are in using AI to assist you. I think of it as just having a very keen (but sometimes dim) friend you can ask about with your ideas for just an opinion.
I found Everyone's Happy on Google Podcasts. The dome part reminds me of Logan's Run and Devil On My Back which I like so I might like this story too. The only audio drama I've listened to recently is The Sandman which is excellent and published through Audible so maybe Audible is worth a try, unless they only release Audible-made audio dramas
Thanks for this!

I've been using AI tools for years, so I don't consider it a big deal :) As you know, it is fun and useful :)

I don’t use AI in my writing but I did find another AI tool for video. Kaiber ai. Want to give it a try.
so complicated. just don’t use AI and you don’t have to worry.
