Suite : Valiha Toro Folo, Somambisamby, Diaso Aho
The Trio Ny Antsaly is known for showcasing and performing traditional Madagascar songs. This suite of traditional songs brings together three songs that have their own characteristics:
"Valiha Toro Folo" is a traditional love song that was made known by the Ny Antsaly Trio. The song is also known as "Vonivony anaty Sahondra", when sung and this version is instrumental and therefore bears the title "Valiha Toro Folo."
"Somambisamby" is a song that combines four popular tunes and expresses the saudade of where we come from, combined into one song. This song is one of the most popular in the repertoire of the Trio Ny Antsaly and has made them known both in Madagascar and abroad.
"Diaso Aho", also known as "Apela mataho-drano mavo" is a popular Bestileo tune that depicts girls who fear getting their hands dirty at farming tasks, a conversation between mocking men and women who answer it.
This suite was recorded in the open air in the Palazzo Tranovola, in the Rova de Manjakamiadana, the trio's rehearsal space, in the early 1960s.

Le Trio Ny Antsaly est connu pour la mise en valeur et l’interprétation des chansons traditionnelles de Madagascar. Cette suite de chansons traditionnelles regroupe trois chansons qui possèdent leurs caractéristiques propres :
« Valiha Toro Folo » est une chanson d’amour traditionnelle qu’a fait connaître le Trio Ny Antsaly. La chanson est aussi connue sous le titre « Vonivony anaty Sahondra », quand elle est chantée et cette version-ci est instrumentale et porte donc le titre « Valiha Toro Folo ».
« Somambisamby » est une chanson qui combine quatre airs populaires et exprime la saudade de là où on vient, combinée en une chanson. Cette chansons est une des plus populaires dans le répertoire du Trio Ny Antsaly et les a fait connaître à la fois à Madagascar et à l’étranger.
« Diaso Aho », aussi connu sous le titre « Apela mataho-drano mavo » est un air populaire Bestileo qui décrit les filles qui craignent de se salir les mains aux tâches de l’agriculture, une conversation entre hommes moqueurs et femmes qui y répondent.
Cette suite a été enregistrée en plein air dans le Palais Tranovola, au sein du Rova de Manjakamiadana, lieu de répétition du trio, au début des années 1960.

“Diaso Aho”, fantatra ihany koa amin’ny lohateny “Apela mataho-drano mavo” dia vakodrazana betsileo mitantara ny vehivavy/apela tsy te handray ravin-deno, tsy te hanao ny raharaha an-tanimbary, hifamalian’ny lehilahy sy ny vehivavy.
Noraisina feo tao amin’ny Tranovola, tao anatin’ny Rova Manjakamiadana, toerana fanaovan’ny tarika famerenana ity rindran-kira ity, tany amin’ny taona 1960’s tany.
