Trio Ny Antsaly - Somambisamby

"Somambisamby" is the most popular song in the repertoire of the Trio Ny Antsaly. It was released in the 1961 super 45 rpm "Trio Ny Antsaly, Ensemble Folkorique de Tananarive", in the series "Ensemble Folkorique de Tananarive", produced by the production company PHILIPS, at the same time as the broadcast of the recordings of the Choir of the “Ecole Normale de Tananarive” which also interpreted traditional songs of Madagascar. "Somambisamby" is the union of four popular tunes, a suite and a recomposition specific to the arrangements of the songs of the Trio Ny Antsaly, conducted by Rémy Randafison. Often broadcast on the radio and performed by popular singers such as Lalatiana, Inah to name but a few, it has become a classic of the folk song of the Highlands of Madagascar.
