    Agree 100% the NP02 is probably the best budget rifle ever, think the price went up a tad a few years ago, probably because Kral Knew the sales figures, bought my son in law one for crimbo about 4 yrs ago, it was the ideal first rifle for him... Reximex pretensis has taken the market by storm as well ( I have the orange laminate one in 177 ) a couple of years back, now within the last year, Reximex have chucked a curve ball in with the Lyra-K... Will it superceed the Np02, it go's without saying the budget market as far as PCPs go's is the most fiercely contested.

Know of your background with Range Right, some amazing products at good prices coming out of Turkey, as from China , living under the SMK logo ! We cant all afford fx, daystate ect, so good honest reviews from RFD,s is great !

    In my time I have owned both a NP03 & a NP02, the NP02 & will agree with your findings, the better of the 2 was definitely the NP02 & I have seen one in my local RFD in an Orange laminate stock, which looked the part, great video round up as always 👍

    When a manufacturer cobbles together a rifle from a pistol you get internal problems. This is the situation with the Kral NP-02. Yes, the barrel, stock and look is great and yes, buy it at the price. However be prepared for an early visit to a gunsmith or some work if you’re handy yourself. Start by replacing all the o-rings and be prepared to deal with issues like hammer bounce. There is no such thing as a bargain in air gunning unless it’s in a sale. You have been warned! Regards, Baz.

      Thanks for commenting. I have sold 100's of these over the years. Every PCP can leak regardless of price. However the issues you have listed I have never come across with the Kral NP-02. The very early models had some barrel and valve problems, but that was rectified by the importer and new barrels were supplied as well as replacing the original valve made by Kral with a polymer one increasing the shot count.

    This is a fair shout, as others have said the Lyra would be a good alternative. Neither the NP02 or the Lyra is regulated though right?
    Just the wrong side of £400 (and it is just) is the Pretensis, and that’s a very, very nice regulated rifle for the money, and I’d much rather have one of those (just my opinion). The thing with the NP02, is the volume of air, a lot of people who buy this budget gun won’t be able to refill it that easily, so they’ll be getting a lot of shots per refill, which is a very attractive proposition to someone just getting started.

    I have this later model np02, kral puncher breaker synthetic, and the lyra k at this moment in time. All i believe i paid less than 400 new for. I think your right about the np02 taking first spot if shot count is essential to your requirements and your lefthanded but the cocking lever being on the wrong side, (for righthanded) there being wallnut but not a lot of it and the large length of pull the lyra k wins due to its silky smooth bi-athalon lever, lovelly wallnut stock and just shoulders better. Eye relief on the puncher breaker wasnt mentioned on the design brief so that alone for me personally takes it out of the running (plus the fact it went back to the supplier for a rebuild after 1 tin of pellets under warranty) uk review

    They are a cheap and cheerful gun for sub £400 new. If my kids get into shooting I could see me picking one up as a starter rifle. Personally I'd sooner go pre owned and get an Ultra or an s200.

  • @682GoldE79
    @682GoldE79 5 дней назад +1

    Hard to argue with that choice, ok the trigger & the LOP both aren't great but you're paying very little, it's expected.
    Nearly bought one but got a P15 instead when they were £299, might still get the NP02 in the future.

    Not everyone either wants to or can afford £2k plus rifles. At sub 12 ft lbs they are really just as good at 30yds as the really expensive stuff anyway, well nearly. Thanks for the explanation as to why .22 get more shots than a 177.

    I'm lucky to have what I consider a nice collection of airguns. Theoben, Airarms, FX, Daystate, AGT etc. The one thing they all do is hit a target at 30yds. Price isn't everything and any of these guns mentioned in the video can hit the same target with the same accuracy. Its not about what you spend its about how you shoot. Top of the range airguns are nice but it doesn't make a bad shooter better or vice versa. Gun snobbery is a big problem & puts people of the hobby and it shouldn't. Enjoy what you can afford and ignore the folk who say you need more to enjoy a hobby that only 30 years ago was mainly done with £50 springers & beer cans.

      Absolutely about the snobbery. It goes on with everything in life. Next door neighbour has a new car, we need a new car. Next door neighbour goes on holiday for a week, we have to go for 2 weeks. Etc Etc 😂😂

    • @timharrison3056
      @timharrison3056 5 дней назад +1

      I took a 20 year break from Airguns and it was a shock when I got back into the hobby. £2500 for an airgun was unheard off a few years back and its not inflation, its fashion and good old fashion snobbery. Its nice to have nice things but it doesn't make you better than the person next to you who's gun is just as a nice to them even if its cost 20% of what you paid. Kindness costs nothing and comes in all calibres.

    Hi
    I just don’t get why people have to be so nasty and critical, especially with a person who knows what they are talking about. Life is full of opinions, and like arseholes, everyone’s got one, but just because your opinion doesn’t match someone else’s, it doesn’t mean you’re right, it’s simply an opinion. As a newbie, I listen to all the experts and then I will form my own opinion and purchase what I want at the end of the day, whether I end up making the right or wrong decision, it’s my decision to make. Thanks for your videos, and ignore the ignorance bud

    I didn’t watch this one… purely because PCP rifles aren’t my thing… I do have a question for you though…. In your pre-owned items…. do you ever come across either the Webley Tempest or Hurricane? i’m not a collector so not too worried about it being boxed… as…. I want one to use (at the right price) … if it’s something you can help me with… I’d make a trip across to your store if the pistol was at the right price of course…..
    Also viciously commenting on people’s channels just shows the “keyboard warriors “ up for what they are… and like u say it helps the channel either way!

      @wighillparkgunstv2257  5 дней назад

      Thanks for sharing. The magazines do break if pushed too far in the clockwise direction. It’s fairly common. I did a video on this a couple of years ago. You can also adjust the length of trigger pull by removing the stock and tightening the rear of the trigger. Thanks for commenting.
