Here he talks about his close friendship with author Alan Garner, who read the oration at the ceremony, his successes, his likes, his dislikes and the roles he would still like to play.

I love him so much! He is the only actor who is so humble and wise at the same time. If i saw him i could hug him. And of course he is a legend. He is the one who played Jesus. When i see him it is impossible not to think of Jesus. I am totally sure that he justifies this role where he acted back then because anyone can see that he is a very kind person.

I too see Jesus whenever I see him. I think it is an honor that God the Father has chosen to use Robert Powell's performance as Jesus to touch and reach people around the world. IMO, his was the best portrayal of Jesus!!!!

Can't help to see him as Jesus, his voice back then was a little deeper and stronger, maybe because he was much younger than and as we all age through the years, our voice does sound a bit different and more fragile sound. But I still see him as Jesus from 1977. Jim Caviezel and Robert Powell are the best Jesus ever played.

Garner's Red Shift is a great novel. Powell says he knew Garner based one of the characters in the book on him. I think it's Tom - he rigidly uses logic, even when it is terribly inappropriate. Has anyone else who knows Red Shift got any thoughts on this? Or could Mr. Powell confirm whether I'm right?

Dommage que la vidéo ne soit pas sous titrée en français....Mais tout de même je pense avoir compris l essentiel...Il explique parfaitement l obligation qu a l acteur de surprendre le spectateur,de rendre la scène intéressante,de trouver diverses façons de la jouer...Cet interview est très intéressant.... Pour son rôle du Christ, je dirais qu il a « invité l idée qu il se faisait de lui, a habiter son corps,pour le faire vivre et nous le donner à voir ».....

Que opina Robert Powel con respecto,ala pasion de cristo dirigida por Melgibson .Dentro de las inbestigaciones de videntes contactados y escritores ,la pelicula va mas alla de lo espiritual sientes un grado de culpa ,puede ser karma hay personas de haber estado en una regresion comentan de ser un espiritu antiguo y han llegado a la epoca de Jesus y disen es muy alto pelo largo cae hasta sus hombros un castano muyy claro ojos cafe claro con una mirada no terrenal etc. etc.

Now that you mention it, not to detract from Mr. Powell, but there is a fine actor who also played Jesus named Bruce Marchiano, who does play the Encounter series and plays a modern day Jesus where he talks to people on a one to one basis and witnesses to each one.
