Do keep it open source! Go prusa or "project north star" style and have it be OS, but sell kits and fully assembled ones. Would be a great makerspace product!
Yeah, you'll need very specialized equipment and skills to build something like this. I'm fortunate enough to have purchased a soldering station and hot air station combo, but I don't have a spot welder. Soldering Li-Ion cells is out of the question, that's way too risky. There's a plastic separator disc that could melt and cause a short circuit. The heat will also damage the battery. One of those LiPo spot welders is exactly what would do the trick, but they are kinda expensive. Compared to a proper spot welder though, one of those wouldn't even make up a quarter of the price.
🤣🤣 it took 18 whole mins? I wasn't even going to try from the very start. Just wanted a chance to see the insides before looking at how to buy the finished product.
@@PunakiviAddikti I bought my spot welder from Banggood for $15 and run it off an old car battery, until I built my 12v 3s LiIon pack to run it. But it's been th best $15 I spent all year. I love making battery packs for various applications
I think selling this as a DIY kit would be the most economical. I would love to "lego" all those components together as sourcing everything would be a pain.
Absolutely concur with this. Plz sell as a kit. We need an option to build our own power banks with battery cells we can trust, but also have access to all these different charging features.
i went into this video with very low expectations, left really impressed and i watched it from first sec to last without skipping just because how interesting it is, keep up the amazing work man
"you can just stick the corresponding pins into the corresponding holes and apply pressure onto one side of the pins to provide a good connection and click the flash bootloader button" -Thank you for that you had me cracking up. 🤣
Congrats bro on the sponsorship! I found your channel from the 18650 power bank and have loved seeing all your projects. I really appreciate all the hard work and time you put into your projects
Omg i really Love this Powerbank now, includes the Features Like Addons or more Battery Packs. Insane Powerbank! Like you got, sub you already have :) hyped too see the other Parts!
You are a genius, I am an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer and I can imagine the amount of work and testing you put into it. Really it is awesome.
A commercial version is worth making simply because no other manufacturers are making a power bank with expansions, wireless charging, USB-C power delivery and RGB lighting in one package. It's unique and definitely what many people are looking for. One thing worth mentioning: always use redundant ground connections! By making ground connections by screws there is still a small chance of the connection failing. It could be dirt, oxidation or corrosion. Always have redundant grounds.
This video is absolutely fantastic. Congratulations on learning circuit design to the point of being able to make this device. I cannot imagine how much effort it must take to understand and utilize all of these components.
I just designed and printed off a case for an existing power bank I bought and now I feel like a chump. Your fully custom job is AWESOME. edit: MEGA AWESOME.
This is literally the best power bank ever! You were so detailed in your video and you have amazing patience for this project. You will definitely get a huge tradeoff making this for the market!
I'm in the first year of electrical engineering school and I like all the ideas in the video. I want to build a similar one when I've learned what it takes to build one just like it
Hey am a 15 year old student that has been trying to understand how battarys work and other stuff thru programs at my school. And I just want to say that u have helped me understand how this stuff works then any other teacher at my school THANK YOU!!!
I don’t think I’ve seen a more detailed and thorough video in any field. Excellent. I have a few projects to finish beforehand but I think it won’t be long before I give this a go. Thank you.
your helping people in so many ways. The way you explain everything is very detailed and i really appreciate that you take the time to explain as much info in such short amount of time
really a master peice no one do these efforts on youtube except you thts very appreciating bro. and one suggestion plz tell us evry parts cost like how much gona spnd on battry pack
all companies will stop making after you make it commercially... for advertising, this youtube video is enough for the consumers to understand... i'll be waiting eagerly... This portable version is super awesome... I guarantee, it'll be the best product in the market for decades... why??? I know you'll make version 2 then 3 then 4 and then so on... keep your good work... since i'm not such a pro and can't invest on 3d printer, i have to wait for your product to launch commercially.... Again... Superb.... Masterprice...
It's truly unbelievable what you've done here, I can't begin to think how much work you've put into this. I and many other people would love to buy this if possible one day. Keep up the good work
I would love a DIY Kit as well. Would be awesome get get a box of parts and start building this device. You are really good as explaining the build, so you could provide a nice build guide.
Yes, I would like commercial version. It would be nice it it was in a finished and a kit version. I would like to assemble it myself (and to keep cost down). Also a kit without batteries, so no problems shipping it across the planet. Bravo.
Loved watching the process from first to last. I must say this is a masterpiece. I would love to make one but I'm not enough qualified to understand all of these... BTW, waiting for the next part...
I would love to give you money so I could have one of these. NO WAY would I attempt to make one myself. :-) Your quest for amazingness is very cool to watch!
Me before watching this video: that looks really neat. I bet I could learn something, maybe I'll even build one. Me after watching this video: I am so far out of my depth I'm not sure what I just watched. Maybe I should wait for the commercial release.
ALL your projects are extremely good, especially those that are just like this one. I really like your channel, congratulations and for such a good job you do!! 👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎊🎀😍
I love it!!! Let me know when you go commercial... hopefully with 'early coupons'... heeheee Super respect for the explanations and desire to share knowledge. Unfortunately, I lack the equipment and skill!
I am so happy to see this!!! You have come a long way sir and honestly I am very happy you enjoy this! I have some questions about your old power bank, because while this one 100% beats it, I still would like to have that one built, and I'm having trouble. Amazing job, and never let anyone stop you from doing what you love!!!
This a real Masterpiece, with a lot of work behind. You really should consider selling this in a mayor scale
unfortunately is too complex and time consuming for mass production ....even for a short run it will be incredibly expensive due to the labor involved
Yeah, i would buy this
@@fouzaialaa7962 This is only for the development version, in the commercial version the circuit will be fully integrated.

Nice modern design 👌
i definitely want a commercial version
Seconded. The soldering work is beyond my capability, but I would absolutely love to have a powerbank like this.

I looked, i gave up right away. My brain will explode
Actually soldering li ion cells has been pretty much well documented in solar off grid, not ideal, but plenty well done enough to be safe.

The prusa model, Open Source it, and sell kits/assembled products. (A custom pcb will make it WAY more straightforeward too)
