    • @PunakiviAddikti
      @PunakiviAddikti 4 года назад +4

      Yeah, you'll need very specialized equipment and skills to build something like this. I'm fortunate enough to have purchased a soldering station and hot air station combo, but I don't have a spot welder. Soldering Li-Ion cells is out of the question, that's way too risky. There's a plastic separator disc that could melt and cause a short circuit. The heat will also damage the battery. One of those LiPo spot welders is exactly what would do the trick, but they are kinda expensive. Compared to a proper spot welder though, one of those wouldn't even make up a quarter of the price.

    • @Infection3d
      @Infection3d 4 года назад +4

      🤣🤣 it took 18 whole mins?
      I wasn't even going to try from the very start. Just wanted a chance to see the insides before looking at how to buy the finished product.

      @@PunakiviAddikti I bought my spot welder from Banggood for $15 and run it off an old car battery, until I built my 12v 3s LiIon pack to run it. But it's been th best $15 I spent all year. I love making battery packs for various applications

    A commercial version is worth making simply because no other manufacturers are making a power bank with expansions, wireless charging, USB-C power delivery and RGB lighting in one package. It's unique and definitely what many people are looking for. One thing worth mentioning: always use redundant ground connections! By making ground connections by screws there is still a small chance of the connection failing. It could be dirt, oxidation or corrosion. Always have redundant grounds.
