Thanks for this comparison. I’m getting the 750 LTE installed this week. I’ve been debating going with the 900s or x, images do seem a little sharper. But the 750 dominates in low light and the built in LTE pushed me in that direction.
The night vision shown at 03:00 Mark looks better on the DR750 2CH LTE IMHO , much brighter than the DR900X is darker . So the DR750 -2CH-LTE wins hands down for night vision
How does it look better? Less detailes and the camera completely can't deal with the light at night. Instead of showing the light as the human light perceives it, it shows light blobs spots. License plate lights often make the numbers illegible due to this.
wow the night vision is amazing and bright on the 750 lte. Was thinking to get the 4k but the night quality is my most important feature for my tinted windows. plus I dont have to buy the cloud addon. thanks for the video.
I bought the 750 LTE. Worked out since I had an extra t mobile line. I love my black vue. Bought me a charger off brand for the dash cam and it lasts me all day. Quick to recharge too for $70
I mainly went with the 750 because of the built in LTE, but also because it shoots in 60 frames. The 900 may be 4K, but I doubt if the higher resolution really helps with reading things. For example when trying to read a license plate on my 750, it doesn’t really matter if it’s set to 1080 or 720, it doesn’t really pick up much more detail. But, from experience, I can tell you having double the amount of frames can really help. If you go frame by frame, it’s more likely there will be 1 that is clear enough to read information off of. You could also notice this in the video when the car was in motion, highway signs were a little more blurry on the 900 as opposed to the 750 if you set the video to 60 fps. Really good video, thank you! Might experiment with the 900 later (I do like the fact it’s smaller and less noticeable), but damn… these camera’s aren’t cheap. Am using mine in a 6.2 hellcat as well 👍🏼 but a Ram lol not a Jeep. Greetings from Belgium!
I personally like the 900x night footage better. Not all grainy. I purchased the 900x along with the LTE box a couple days ago. When it arrives I'm thinking about hiding the lte box in the headliner above the windshield don't really want that big thing stuck on my windshield.
The 900x appears to have a higher dynamic range than the 750 which is why the 900 perceived itself to look darker when in reality it’s just closer to what it would look like in person vs the 750 the low light is elevated due to the lack of dynamic range the 900 has for example the street signs get blown out when there is light being reflected off of them on the 750 vs you can still see them on the 900. Other than that I can’t tell a difference in sharpness on the 4k vs 1080 most likely thanks to RUclips’s horrible compression
Btw I wouldn’t say the 900x has HDR I can just tell it does have a higher dynamic range than the 750 does just not high enough to warrant the HDR badge if that makes sense
They use different sensors that's why. The 900 does 4k meaning you should be able to read number plates furtherer away. But yea the brightness is one of my dislikes with the 900 otherwise it's a solid dash cam.
Were both cameras set to the same settings as far as possible? I only say because at the bottom of each screen, the 900 seems to be filming in HDR and the 750 says ‘NV’ which I’m guessing is night vision? That might account for the ‘better’ night time performance of the 750 - which off the back of these videos as they are is the one I’d buy.
I'd like to see how well the 750 LTE compares in video quality in light rain or snow. With my 750 LTE I can't make out license plates at night with my front or rear view unless I'm directly in front or behind them and I have my video quality to the highest. Kinda wish the camera quality could easily make out license plates.
This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, newer models are released as they are meant to exceed previous models. Have you set the 900 model up correctly?
had my DR750X-2CH for almost a year now with a B-112 battery pack. I did NOT get the LTE but instead purchased a Samsung Galaxy A02 and a cheap Xiaomi power bank, then configured the phone for mobile hotspot and enabled GPS. I did think about the 900X but at the time thought it was too expensive. I'm happy with the 750X, although wish I had purchased the B-130 battery. The android battery can be checked via Google Maps, but no way of checking the B-112. Phone and power pack get recharged once a week. I also thought the LTE contributed to bulk and may cause it to be noticed more (and therefore a target for theft). Maybe future versions will decrease the size of the 900X and be priced better.
900X on left bottom text says “UHD-OFF” --did you forgo to turn ON High Dynamic Range capability? im just asking im myself researching still....i wonder myself let us know
Weird that the 60FPS on the DR750 (because of the Sony starvis on the front camera?) seems to make more of a difference than the "4K" on the DR900X. A bit of a let down as I was thinking the DR900X was supposed to be a rather significant upgrade. I wonder if the new DR750X-2CH will have the same quality as the DR750 LTE. For those that don't need the LTE, it might be a better and cheaper option until Blackvue improves the 4k image quality.
I think the difference mostely will be seen in situations there licens plate are hard to read, because on paper you will have more pixels, which provides better image quality, and 60 FPS don't give you better quality on the image, it only makes it more smooth to watch. I can only compare with the old 750S-2CH model, just installed 900X-2CH today, so I do hope it will be better with license plate, because sometimes it's a big problem with the 750S model for me. In other words I look forward to a 4K 60 FPS model.
@@DKKatano hey, 11 months on, what do you think of the 900X? I have the 750S and was thinking to upgrade because of the night time video is hard to read number plates. But it might actually be that the 750 is better?
May sound stupid but, Can someone please explain difference between DR750X-2 CH DR750-2 CH LTE and can you use the DR750-2 CH LTE model without SIM card? Thanks in advance
So... What does everyone do about mounting these in the hot Florida Sun? Instruction say don't park in direct sunlight lol How do you keep yours from overheating or falling off the windshield? I use a sun shade daily. I know if I put up the sun shade and leave this in my window all day, the sun will turn it to liquid..... What do you do?
I had this dashcam parked in Florida in the middle of August. It didn’t shut off. We live in Philadelphia and get over 100 degree weather every summer. O far this has been their best camera to deal with the heat
@@EastCoastJeepSRT Thanks for the reply! I just worry about putting my sun shade up, sandwiching the camera between the windshield and the shade. Hmm I guess the HDR works for the DR900x, looking at the night video, the 750 seems over exposed and carplate cannot be read at all, but 900x HDR able to slightly read it
Hi I'm thinking of getting a blackvue 750 3ch dash camera with cm100 lte module for sim service. This will be my first dash camera. I'm assuming that I would need to power both the camera and the lte module device. Is there a battery that can connect both devices. I'm trying avoid using the car battery.
The module is powered when you plug it into the camera, but if you want to power the camera when the vehicle is off an external battery for Parking Mode is what I recommend
The 900x is in 1080p mode and not 4k so it's a pretty useless comparison except to compare how the 900x does at the same reduced 1080p setting as 750. Would look to see a comparison at both of them using their best settings.
Can you tell us what settings are good if someone walks by our car? Do you know a s good setting to use?? Sorry to bother you but at my job we’re I park it’s dark and people steal car mirrors and give flat tire to people, also the key the paint on someone’s car.
I haven’t found a decent setting for motion detection yet since it captures every car going by. If my street was more remote I’d probably set it to a higher sensitivity but for now my camera records every minute.
hi there,. How do you reduce glare on your cams? I just had the 900x installed and I ordered the CPL filter. (And the lte and the sd card (256). Do you subscribe to Black Vue Cloud? I'm in Canada so it's a little different over here getting LTE access but I believe I have it (just waiting on parts).
LTE stands for Long Term Evolution. For the Blackvue dashcam it basically means you now have the ability to add a nano SIM card directly to the camera and have “built in” 4G LTE connectivity. You don’t need a stand-alone portable wifi hotspot with this camera.
900x UHD is OFF what kind of comparision is this - we buy ıt for the 4k - in non of them was i able to read any licence plate that past by or opproached from the front - it is all junk and for that price - get nearlt the same reuslts for 49 dollars.
You won’t find a better dashcam on the market than the Blackvue DR900X-2CH or DR750-2CH. For $49 you’re getting cheap junk without all the functions these provide. During lowlight the 4K cameras struggle, and they’re just not worth it regardless of brand. It’s better to go with 1080p and better lowlight capabilities. With UHD turned on the better camera is still the 750 because of the Sony Starvis sensor. You also can’t find a dashcam for $49 that has live viewing and a real-time notifications when your vehicle is parked. Remember that you pay for what you get, so going cheap isn’t a smart decision when buying a dashcam that adds more security to your car.
