Amazing!! So enlightening. Thank you for your efforts to provide this content to us. Quick question fine Sir: I've laid out my 2024 workouts and instead of doing so much bike...what are your thoughts on utilizing an elliptical/arc trainer or even doing incline treadmill walking to replace few hours a week on the bike? Obviously setting these workouts to coincide with lactate measurements keeping in the 1.5-2.0 mmol range...same as other aerobic training.
That would work. I'd aim to keep the easy training sub-1.5 mmol. Even better, use a progressive lactate test, bottom out lactate, and use that pace/effort as a target for your easy work. Yes, I plan on using the progressive lactate test as you outlined previously. I've already completed one for my treadmill running and will do so for the other aerobic efforts as well. Very excited about 2024!! Thank you!@@feelthebyrn

Do people with prosthetic hips run marathons?
I'd ask an orthopedic doc. I don't have experience in that area.
