Thank you SO much for sharing! Those insights are extremely invaluable and helpful. The presentation was such a smart and neat idea guiding you through the interview. How long did the interview last altogether and was one of the interviewers from a department outside of architecture?
this is all so helpful, thank you for the upload im just wondering, did it seem like the interviewers had properly read your research proposal beforehand and were immediately asking questions based on its content? or did you have to quickly talk them through it first and the conversation picked up from there?
So glad you found this helpful!! The interviewers' interests/areas of research certainly matched with my proposal well. During the interview they did ask for me to briefly talk through my proposal, but because I anticipated this question I had my short presentation prepared and so could quickly get them up to speed. I think it's best to assume that they have probably, at the very minimum, skim read your proposal / have it up on screen on their side, but I think it's good form to also assume they may have forgotten aspects since reading it/during the long interview day and therefore I would recommend having a quick recap of your key points from your proposal etc. to hand. Hope that helps a little. But again this is just my perspective and I think there are many many routes into Cambridge, and it's all about finding your own style! Good Luck!!
